I'm a fan of the Soap & Glory brand, but I've got so many toiletries that I've only recently been able to use up this product. I've had it for a while, and thought it would be a good one to use over the summer. I've used it alongside the Butter Up body butter, as they are both part of the Spa range, packaged in light blue, with citrus-themed scents. iFoam - a fun play on 'iPhone' - is described as an "ultra-creamy body wash". Inside the clear plastic tube, the product is a creamy pale yellow and it has a pleasant, light citrus scent. This is unsurprising as it contains grapeseed oil and orange oil, which also help to tone the skin. The packaging states that the product releases 'moisture molecules' when massaged into the skin, and uses the 'm-suds moisture system'. This is a bit confusing and it seems rather pointless to give a moisturising shower gel this sort of name, but I guess the main issue is whether it works or not! The flip-top lid is secure enough not to open on its own; it can be slightly tricky to undo when you are in the shower and have wet hands, but it's still easier to use than screw-top shower products when you inevitably drop the lid over the side of the bath. The product is quite runny, so I often end up squeezing a bit too much onto my shower puff. This is a bit of a shame, as it's unnecessary: the product lathers fantastically well and only a small amount is needed. After use, my skin does feel soft and, to an extent, moisturised. I do suffer from very dry skin, so I hadn't expected to be able to forego body lotion, and sure enough, I have to apply some, although not as much as usual. I don't really smell the product on my skin after use, but this doesn't really matter as the Butter Up lotion I use does have a nice smell. This is a nice product that lathers really well and smells pleasant, but I don't know if I would buy it again, as I prefer the other Soap & Glory shower products. I'm glad I tried it though, as I enjoyed using it and I would recommend it to those who like citrus scents and moisturising shower gels.
Today I am reviewing iFoam shower gel from soap and glory. I got iFoam for christmas as a little gift from one of mu girlfriends. She knew I loved soap and glory products and this was one I hadn't tried as I haven't really ventured into the spa range. iFoam is packaged in a clear squeezy tube with a bright turquoise flip top cap. On the front of the tube it says that it is a moisturising shower gel, it's ultra creamy and contains antioxidant grapefruit oil, orange oil and M-Suds moisture system. I like the packaging, it is quite modern but it is still on the soap and glory theme. The actua shower gel is a light yellow / orange colour which looks very pretty on your bathroom shelf. It is easy to get out of the tube. I just squeeze a little out onto my loofah and it foams up literally so much !! I don't use half of the foam and bubbles that I get !! The bubbles all smell really nice too, a nice gentle, citrusy blend that isn't at all sour but just a nice light citrus smell. It is a really moistursing shower gel too and my skin feels nice and soft after using it. I really like this shower gel, it is really mositurising, smells gorgeous and foams ALOT !! It may not be the cheapest but it is definitely worth it !!!
As anyone who has read my review on Soap and Glory's 'Scrub of your life', they would know that I absolutely adore that product and to be fair there are no other S&G products I have tried yet that I love as much. There are some that I really like and this product is one of those. I was given this as part of a set last Christmas and have still got a little bit left as I don't use it as often as the Scrub or another soap which is really just because I had two bottles of 'Clean, girls' so I have been trying to use them all in a way that means I don't run out altogether! The product: This product is a foaming wash that also moisturises as you wash. The product is called 'I foam ultra-creamy body wash' and so when I first saw it I remembered thinking that it would be amazing to use because it would foam up really well. I think this product is more geared towards being used in the shower but, as we only have a bath I have no choice on using it the shower unless I take it on holiday with me! The bottle: The first thing you notice with this bottle is that it differs to the rest of the main range as in that instead of it having a pink lid it has a pale blue one. Also where usually text on the bottles is cream, pink or white, this is red. So instantly it looks different although you will notice at the bottom of the bottle it has the usual S&G logo but, with a 'spa' symbol in a red circle. The rest of the bottle is see through where you can see the creamy liquid inside and there are the usual S&G blurbs on it such as on the back where it has a little thing about it getting into your eyes and an idea of how to use. Using it: Usually, when I use this product, I either squirt some into a shower puff and use that or if I need to exfoliate, I put it onto my exfoliating gloves and use them. The liquid is fairly thick and the smell is lovely. Not as nice as the scrub of your life I have to add but, still lovely! It smells very fresh and fruity and I guess this would be down to the fact that it is supposed to contain grape seed and orange oil. When I start to lather it up, it does foam but, not as much as you kind of expect because of how it is advertised as a foaming body wash. It smells even more delightful as you wash with it and my skin does feel nice with it although I am not sure how much moisturising is going on! The bubbles float around the bath once I rinse it off so it feels quite nice to be surrounded by all these bubbles as the scent I still very strong too. Price: The foam wash can be bought in Boots normally although I cannot see it currently advertised on their site. Prices for body washes are usually around the £5 mark and as always Boots, run the 3 for 2 offers a lot and this usually includes S&G products in it. I have been given S&G products as presents before but, if I ever want or need to purchase products, I tend to wait until this offer is on because then it works out much cheaper and even better value per item. Overall opinion: I do like this product and once I run out I would buy it again and be glad if I received it as part of a gift set. However, I do feel that it is a slight shame it doesn't foam as much as I expected but, I think this is because with a name like 'I foam'; you kind of expect foam to be its biggest asset if that makes sense! However if you know that it will produce bubbles and the scent is so nice as well as the fact that I always feel really nice and clean after using it then I don't think you would be disappointed. I think over some of the other S&G products, it is not as highly rated for me but, as a lovely wash on its own then it is very nice indeed. Paying full price, I think it is a bit steep but, if you can get it as part of the 3 for 2 offers then it makes this product fairly good value and I would recommend you try it.
When it comes to the brand that is Soap & Glory it really is something that I adore. Over the years I have pretty much tried everything out from the bath and body range (please read my reviews, every penny counts after-all lol) and I actually repurchase rather alot of the things from the range over time. However we all have our favourite products and I like the original light pink and girly range from Soap & Glory, especially the body wash so a while back I really had to stop and think....did I really want to try this i foam body wash or should I stick with my usual......in the end I thought I'd stop being so predictable and boring and give this a whirl! The Packaging: I have only ever seen this available in Boots and only seen it available to purchase in one size too which is a 200ml see-through plastic tube with a light turquoise coloured flip-top lid to the bottom of it concealing a small hole. On the front of the tube we are told that it is 'Built-in lather layers release moisture molecules when massaged', I Foam (I also simultaneously moisturize!', Ultra-Creamy Body Wash With Antioxidant grapeseed oil, orange oil and m-suds moisture system and that it is of course a Soap & Glory 'Spa' product and the size is stated and there is a light pattern of orange slices depicted on the tube. On the back of the tube other information listed includes being told a about about the product and how to use it, ingredients are given along with warnings and contact details for Soap & Glory are stated. To me this is a rather plain and boring looking product compared to the more retro style of alot of their products, however it is an easy to squeeze tube and informative enough of course. Using It: This body wash is a rather thick but still easy to squeeze out of the tube peachy coloured cream with a lovely, light and in my humble opinion unisex fragrance of gentle oranges. Its a really clean fragrance but still delicate and you don't need very much to get this foamy on damp/wet skin at all. This is soft and gentle and very kind to the skin indeed. Its a gently moisturising body wash that cleanses very well and it lathers up into white rich lather very well indeed. I can use this in the shower or in the bath, shave my bits and bobs with it.....whatever and it never agitates my skin, a little of it goes a long way and although this isn't a greasy wash my skin always feels very gently hydrated and supple after every-time I use it! Fragrance wise, this its downfall to me. It simply isn't rich enough in scent or girly enough for me sadly and although its a nice foamy wash and cleans me up nicely and is obviously up to Soap & Glorys usual quality standards it lacks in that department for me big time so although it is a good product, of good quality this particular one isn't one I'd go nuts for in the future! Available in Boots at £5.47 a tube or google the brand if interested! This review is also posted on Ciao under this same username.
Soap and Glory (S&G) is a beauty brand which has grown in popularity over the past few years. The retro packaging and witty one liners have become a hit with those wishing to treat themselves to an array of gorgeous bath, body, skin, makeup and even perfume goodies. *~*~*Showering Can Be Fun!*~*~* S&G offer a wide collection of goodies for the bath and shower. The options include : *Bubble Bath - Calm One, Calm All *Shower Gel/Cream - Clean Girls, Clean On Me and IFoam *Scrubs - Flake Away, The Breakfast Scrub, Scrub Em And Leave Em, Scrub Actually, The Scrub of Your Life,Sugar Crush and Some Like It Hot Lots of choice to get washed down and pampered in the shower! *~*~*IFoam In The Spa*~*~* S&G IFoam is part of the Spa collection within the brand. It is a body wash to be used in the shower or bath to cleanse the skin. Not only does the IFoam clean up the skin, its ultra creamy formula has a built in addition which allows the foam to release moisture molecules whilst you massage it into the skin! The body wash contains grapeseed oil which is common for its antioxidant properties and also some orange oil. It can double up as a body lotion by doubling up the dose allowing the user to save precious time by getting it all done in one go. *~*~*Packaging*~*~* IFoam comes housed in a tall, plastic tube. The lid and dispensing hole at the base allows the tube to be easily handled in the shower. The tube is transparent clearly showing the light, orange foam within. S&G have carried the Spa theme of blue and red on this tube with big writing and plenty of information including ingredients, how to use etc. The tube can be recycled and should be used up within 24months from initial opening. *~*~*Using*~*~* As within any body wash, you can apply directly to your skin but applying with a body polisher will allow you to create more lather for less product. S&G recommend turning off the shower to avoid this going down the plug hole and lather it up on your skin. Be careful once you have washed it off as it can make the bath a bit slippy! *~*~*Availability and Price*~*~* S&G products can be purchased on the website www.soapandglory.com, Boots and Harvey Nichols. IFoam is 200ml in size and costs £4.50. *~*~*My Foaming Experience*~*~* I love Soap and Glory and when Boots has the products on offer, I often treat myself! On boxing day, I purchased quite a few items in the 3 for 2 sale with my Christmas money. I purchased them from the Glasgow store which has a HUGE choice compared to my local store. £4.50 for a body wash is a bit hefty but I have learned that I go through the cheaper ones so quickly compared to S&G..thats my excuse and I am sticking to it! I am so used to the big bottles of Clarifying Shower Gel and Clean Girls in the shower that I wasn't sure how I would get on with a tube of IFoam but I had a quick sniff in store and I was taken by it right away. I have 2 showers a day and love gorgeous smelling products which give me a good lather so I hoped this one would be ideal. The tube is easy to hold even when my hands are wet and the body wash is dispensed with a very light squeeze. I have been using this as a morning body wash due to its invigorating nature. Once I have wet my skin, rather than turning off the shower, I simply step away and get to work on getting clean! The scent omitting from the tube is citrussy and creamy..almost like orange ice cream. It isn't a scent that everyone would appreciate as it can be a bit much but I really love it! The consistency of the wash is quite runny but thick and it flows from the bottle with complete ease.It is a light orange colour and feels cool and soft against my dry and sensitive skin. I don't have a body polisher at the moment so I apply it directly onto my skin and use my hands to work it up. The wash spreads very well and the thickness soon changes allowing a milky consistency to come through and gently carresses my skin. I find that my skin needs to be very, very wet to reep the full benefits of IFoam. The IFoam doesn't look like it can do much when you first squeeze it out on the skin but it really comes to life as I massage it on. The lather takes hardly any time to become apparent as is extremely soft and luxurious. It covers my skin in a pleasant, silky foam which feels really amazing and I can feel my skin being cleansed, pampered and moisturised at the same time. The lather becomes thick, soft and kind of fluffy on my skin and keeps developing as I massage it on. It stays thick on my skin and doesn't run off down the plug hole and its indulgent, creamy nature makes me feel like I have covered myself in something super expensive. The scent is especially delightful as it combines a light, orange aroma with a creamy undertone. It doesn't resemble the sweetness of the pink S&G products but I wouldn't expect it too as it is from the Spa range which is considered fresher scented. The amount I need to apply to cleanse my full body is a small blob as it lathers up so well. If I know I don't have time to apply my body butters, I use a tiny bit extra which allows the results to be more impressive and longer lasting. The body wash swishes off my skin after standing under the shower for around 10 seconds. I was surprised by this due to the thickness but I was happy with the results when I stepped out the shower and dried off with a soft towel. Not only does my skin feel very clean and fresh, it also feels soothed and soft. I felt no need to apply a body butter to relieve dryness on my skin as the body wash had worked its magic on softening and moisturising my skin. This saves my time and not alot of effort is needed to gain these results. The scent carries on to my skin but in a light and subtle way but doesn't last all that long. It does wake me up in the shower though but I am glad it doesn't blend in with my fragrances. The softness on my skin is evident throughout the day until I can jump into another, more relaxing shower before bed. *~*~*Recommendation and Conclusion*~*~* Whilst IFoam could never fully replace my love of the sweeter S&G shower creams, it does appeal to me as a morning, wake up cream. Its scent and effects work well with my skin and although the tube is running out quite quickly compared to the bottles, it is a lovely £4.50 treat! Recommended! Thanks for reading x
I recently had my 3 year anniversary with my partner, and one of the gifts that he bought me was the Soap and Glory i-Foam Body Wash. I am a big lover of Soap and Glory products, and my bathroom is just full of them, so I was quite pleased to receive this one and I couldn't wait to hop into the shower and give it a try. The i-Foam comes in a plastic, triangle shaped tube with a pop cap base, so it is easy to get some of the i-Foam product out, even when you are at the last dreggs of the product. The cap is blue. As with all Soap and Glory products, there are some cute and clever puns and jokes all over the bottle, even in the instructions and warnings. This makes it kind of fun to use, at least it does for me lol. i-Foam smells absolutley amazing. The first thing I do with products is give them a sniff, and my nose was very pleased when I gave this one a sniff. It smells like orange and grapeseed, which funnily enough is what the main ingrediants of this product is. The product really does leave up to its name, as it properly foams up quickly and easily when you use it. The texture of i-Foam is of a good thickness, and it spreads nicely. A small blob, about the size of a 50p, on my body puff is all I need to have a good clean from head to toe. There is a lot of foam when I am done!! It rinses off really easily, and it leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth. There is moisturising agents in i-Foam, so I was expecting it to make my skin soft, but it exceeded my expectations and my skin felt wonderful. I have quite dry and sensitive skin, and a lot of products can cause me to have really dry skin, or a rash of some kind, but this product gave me no problems what so ever. i-Foam has great cleaning power for my skin, and makes my skin feel wonderful as well. Add this all to a great scent and what more could you ask for in a body wash? I love it and I will happily continue to use it. You can buy i-Foam Body Wash from Boots stores and on Boots.com I have also seen it on Amazon once in a while. It will cost around £5 a tube, but as you do not have to use a lot of the product each time, it will last a good long time I think. I totally recommend this to everyone, and if you are looking to find a new body wash, then i-Foam is the way to go.
Soap & Glory's i Foam shower/ body wash was on a 3 4 2 offer when I first bought this. I must admit that I used to hear people raving about the products from the 'pink' range, but I wasn't too keen on the look of some of the other items in the Soap & Glory range at all. Well how wrong can you be? ********************************************************** I had a quick sniff of this and thought it had a nice clean smell about it, stuck it in the cupboard and forgot all about it. When I eventually got around to using it I wasn't really expecting great things from it, but I have to say that it knocked my socks off from the very first time I used it. The light and slightly citrusy aroma, was really bursting with freshness and zing which you just would not have guessed from the way it was packed. ********************************************************** You really don't need to use much of the product at all in order to lather up a mass of foamy bubbles, especially when you are using this with one of the Sudsey Puffs from the Soap and Glory range. I do not think that mere words can do justice to the amount of bubbles and foam that you can get from just a teeny tiny amount of i Foam. ********************************************************** The best way to really see what the product can do is to go and get some for yourself to try it! Whilst I have said that only a very small amount of i Foam is needed in order to luxuriate amongst the bubbles, you may and in fact will, be tempted to have just one more drop of i Foam than you need. You have been warned, its just so gorgeous that its addictive. No wonder they called it i Foam.
Why this product ****************** I received the "i foam" as part of the Soap and Glory hat box gift set at Christmas. Having got to the end of the tube I have decide to buy some more as I have loved this product so much so I thought I would do a review on it What is it? ************ This is part of the Soap and Glory Spa range so doesn't have the witty pictures on the front but it does have several bits of information about the product and its claims on the tube. They claim that this shower cream contains molecules which moistures the skin and reduce the need for you to apply a body moisturizer after showering. The packing makes reference to the use anti oxidant grape-seed oil, orange oil and M-suds moisture system within the product and how these are supposed to help make your skin soft. This shower cream comes in a clear plastic tube with a light blue flip top lid. The clear tube is nice and soft to the touch and lets you see the peachy colored shower cream inside. My thoughts and in use ********************* The gift box was a huge treat as I hadn't previously tried any Soap and Glory products. On using this for the first time I was really thrilled with how luxurious I found it. Smell On flipping the lid and giving it a good sniff I noticed straight away the scent of oranges or should I say orange blossom is what it smelt more of to me. The scent was very pleasant and natural smelling without being too over powering or too citrus. Touch On squirting a bit into my hand it has a silky creamy texture to it and it was very smooth to the touch as I ran some between my finger tips. I was surprised how thin this was though and was actually expecting it to be thicker than it was. Washing and moisturising On lathering up I have found that it is really best to use one of those shower scrunchie/puff things as this way I only need a 2 pound coin size amount of the i foam to produce a generous amount of bubbles that covers all of my body in the shower. If I don't use my shower scrunchie then I use substantially more i foam and actually don't notice any change to how smooth and clean I am after wards. In this case it really is a little goes a long way. On lathering up the bubbles produce are a creamy white and this seems to enhance the smell of orange blossom to me. The smell I find quite up lifting without being too sharp like some citrus "wakey up" shower gels. The bubbles wash off nicely in the shower and even when wet I can notice a new silkiness to my skin. On drying my skin I notice that it is certainly softer and less dry than when I have used regular supermarket own brand shower gel. The smell of the product lingers a little while but fades I find within about 30 minutes or drying. I have on occasions taken this with me to the swimming pool and have found that using it in the way I have just described that the smell though not strong is enough to get rid of the chlorine smell of the pool. I have also tried using this in the bath when I have run out of bubble bath and have found though it doesn't make many bubbles it does create a few and with then lathering some up over myself my skin feels really smooth and the smell of oranges within the bath is delightful. The tube that I got in my hat box has last a good couple of months but I haven't used it everyday. The accumulation of using it several times a week has though left my skin noticeably smoother and less dry. Some science bits ******************* Orange Oil is said by aroma therapists to induce happiness and warmth to the mind and aid relaxation a nice thing I think to happen in your shower and it seems to work for me. It is also said to be good for eliminating toxins from the body so by having this as an ingredient the shower cream should get rid of some of those nastiness that make your skin look dull. Grape seed Oil is easily absorbs into the skin and is often used by itself as carrier oil in aromatherapy. It also a moisturizing oil which again is especially useful for anyone who does suffer from dry skin. M-SUDS moisture system is apparently designed and trademarked by by Soap and Glory as an ingredient that releases moisture as you wash. I can't find out much more about it even on the Soap and Glory website Overall and recommendation ************************* I think this is a great product and I will certainly be buying some more of it when Boots have their next 3 for 2 offers on Soap and Glory products. It smells nice and leaves my skin feeling lovely and smooth and hydrated. Where from ************* They sell Soap and Glory I foam in Boots and Harvey Nichols for £4.50 for a 200ml tube Final thought ************** As I know a lot of people worry about animal testing on beauty products this is Soap and Glory's position on it "At Soap & Glory, we absolutely do not test our formulations on animals, however we can't say that each and every ingredient that goes into them has not, at some point historically, been cleared for human use, by animal testing"
Yes I am a Soap & Glory addict but I just can not help it! Really! I love their packaging and the enticing way their product names and descriptions pull me towards them on the shelf! I am also aware of just how pricy some of their bath and body items are so Soap & Glory are always on my wish list! Luckily I have some fab people in my life who treat me occasionally! If however you are a Soap & Glory newbie who wants to dip your toe into the soap & Glory magic then this might be the thing for you. I-Foam is one of their cheapest products and costs around £4.50 for a full size 200ml squeezy tube. It is still expensive for a body wash considering other brands that are available. But like I said, if you wanted to see what all the fuss is about then this is a good starting place! I-Foam from Soap & Glory is a body wash which they promise is ultra creamy and simultaneously moisturises. Great for people like me... (Not that I am lazy!) But the body wash is supposed to release moisture molecules when massaged into the skin, which works like added body lotion. If it works then I won't feel so bad about skipping the body lotion for one day. The packaging is as always with Soap & Glory, bright and eye catching. The transparent bottle lets you see the peachy coloured cream inside and the random orange prints on the bottle indicate this might be a fruity treat. The I-Foam is full of ingredients such as antioxidant grape seed oil and orange oil. Which should give the skin some added moisture as well as explain the peachy colour and the burst of orange freshness you get when you squeeze some of the wash onto your hands. The cream itself really goes a long way. It isn't thick and is almost like a watery gel then a cream. Whenever I use this I am surprised by just how far the cream goes and it foams up into a really creamy wash. Because of how creamy it is and how well it spreads the 20ml bottle will last a lot longer then an average shower gel. After using for more then a week not even a quarter of the tube is gone. Yes I have been using enough! But it really doe foam up well and live up to its I-Foam name! The refreshing orange scent isn't too overpowering but gives a lovely zing to the skin and it does linger around for a couple of hours after washing. Nothing too fruity but just a nice clean smell which I always like after a bath. Once I had completely massaged myself in the cream, rinsed off, enjoyed the fruity aroma and returned to the real world I realised just how soft my skin was. Ok it could still do with some body lotion, but I think that there is always room for more softness and moisture especially where my legs are concerned! But I was surprised at how soft my skin was. It felt really smooth and clean and I think if I was in a rush then I could get away with skipping the body lotion once in a while. I definitely think this body wash is worth the money. It goes along way and foams up well, has a lovely soft orange scent to it and does leave the skin more moisturised then I expected, even after having a good scrub! Worth the money and one of the few Soap & glory products that won't break the bank and will last longer then expected. 100% Recommended for a foamy wash!
Being a lover of the Soap and Glory brand i was super excited when i recieved the hat box for christmas. This is a big box with loads of their products in it. Including this i-Foam Body wash in a full size 200ml tube which retails in Botts for £4.50. The first thing i noticed when taking it out of the box was the funky transparent packaging so you can see the creamy wash through it. As with all the products in this range the packaging stands out and they love to use quirky names. After reading the instructions (not that i need them) i was happy to read that whilst massaging in the wash it releases moisture molecules which save you from having to moisturise :-) happy days! Although this wasnt the case after using it. To be honest i didnt feel any softer at all, but my skin did smell nice still. This body wash contains antioxidant grapeseed oil, orange oil and M-SUDS moisture system which deffinately releases a gorgeous aroma whilst building up a foamy lather that its ment to. All in all this product is lovely. Slightly overpriced in my opinion but you are paying for the brand name too. Now ive ran out i wont be paying £4.50 for a new one, but i wont turn it down as a gift.
I got the soap & glory iFoam as part of a gift set i got reduced after chritmas in Boots (such a good time to stock up!). It comes in the typical fiftys soap and glory style of bottle but is part of the blue 'fruity' range rather than the standard pink soap & glory range which all smells the same. I was a bit worried about how this product would actually smell as some of the fruity products I have tried previously havent smelt great but this smells really nice. The body wash contains grapeseed oil and orange oil. The orange definately being the more predominent smell. Its a nice, sweet citrus smell but not too fresh and over powering which I sometimes find paticularly with lemon fragranced washes designed to wake you up. iFoam's smell makes it a nice way to wake up in the morning without it being too overpowering! The bottle also says it 'simultaneously moisturises' if your too lazy to use moisturiser and ok it doesnt leave your skin dry which some products do, but I wouldnt go as far as to say I could just use this and wouldnt need to moistuise aswell. I find the actual product to be a little watery, especially since on the front it says 'ultra creamy' which makes you believe it would be a really thick body wash. You definately need to use this product with a poof as if you just use your hands you will loose half of it through your fingers! Though saying that using it with a poof it does last a long time, more than a standard body wash. I do like the fact that its a standard squeezy bottle with a flip lid at the bottom, much easier to use than some of the pump bottles that other products in the soap & glory range use. My pet hate is having bottles turned upside down scattered around the bathside. I think its a little bit pricey at 4.50 for a 200ml bottle and I think it would definately need to be on offer for me to buy it again.
Like all Soap and Glory products, the i-Foam Body Wash smells absolutely gorgeous, and is probably one of its best features. With antioxidant grapeseed oil and orange oil, it has a fruity scent which is quite delicate but very present. Furthermore, the scent it is fairly long lasting on the skin and makes the bathroom smell heavenly for hours after a shower. The main difference between this and other body washes is that it claims to moisturise at the same time - 'when you massage, it releases moisture molecules'. Well, to be honest I have particularly dry skin and so am probably not a fair tester of its moisturising properties, but for me it didn't seem particularly more moisturising than other shower creams - I still very much needed to apply moisturiser. However, if I was running late and didn't have time to moisturise I would probably favour this in the shower, as although its moisturising capability didn't blow me away, a little moisturisation is better than nothing at all. Another downside is that I seemed to get through this 200ml bottle ridiculously quickly as it is quite a thin, runny formula which tends to slide off more quickly than you can massage the moisturising particles in. However, it does feel alot more luxurious than other brands, foams up fairly well, and is overall very pleasant to use. The packaging, like all S&G products, is stylish and a little bit retro with their usual little bit of witty banter in the instructions, which always makes me smile. The bottle is practical and stands on its end meaning that the product comes out easily. Being transparent you can also see exactly how much you have left which is very useful. At £4.50 for 200ml which doesn't last very long it's a bit more expensive than some other brands. However, I think it's quite nice to keep a bottle handy for those days when you don't have time to moisturise, or for when you want to smell particularly special, as the scent is really lovely. It wont upset me to not use this product, but I do nonetheless like it, mainly because of the scent. I will use it again but perhaps, given that I seem to plough through shower gels extremely quickly, I might not use this on a daily basis. If you have normal skin you may find the moisturising properties of this body wash to be sufficient. For me, I would have preferred it to be a little more moisturising, but given the gorgeous scent, it is nonetheless a good product.
The i-Foam was the second of the Soap & Glory body washes I tried, the other being the Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel. I like trying lots of different shower gels so was happy to find two more to trial. This just comes in the one size by the looks of it, the 200ml which costs £4.50. Currently though it can be bought for £3 in Boots as they have a promotion running. I am not sure why they do small sizes of some of their products and not of others but there you are. First who picked the name? Whoever it was, good job, this makes me smile every time I use it. For those who haven't yet made the link, it is a play on Apple's range of products; the iPhone, the iPod and so on. The packaging is quite full-on. Under the title there is the line 'I also simultaneously moisturise' and then 'ultra creamy' in a load of different fonts. It also informs us that it contains anti-oxidant grapeseed oil, orange oil and m-suds moisture system. Not sure about the last one, is it a play on N-Dubz or something? There are also grapefruit halves in the background of the packaging and a turquoise base flip lid. It's very different from the usual pink and cream more sedate style they usually go for. I love the smell of this. I am more of a sweet fan than fruit fan and this is normally reflected in my choice of body products but this smells fantastic like a fruit bowl of fresh fruit with an overall citrusy tang. I think this is a morning shower gel designed to make you feel fresh and awake as compared to their others which are perhaps more for evening baths or lazy showers. The name of the product is without a deserve well deserved and I was taken aback at just how creamy and foamy this was as it gave out loads of lather with just a small amount and all the lather made my skin feel so smooth and cleansed. I did mean to just use this now and again but it seems that I keep pushing my regular shower gel aside in favour of this so I would say this one has won my approval. I would buy this again but not at full price.
I love Soap and Glory products so finding this on the shelves of Boots while I was looking for a new shower gel, I was quite excited. As always, the packaging was eye catching and a bit tongue in cheek which I like. Best of all, it promised to moisturise which is brilliant as I can get mega lazy in the mornings and can hardly ever be bothered to moisturise. So, although it was £4.50 for 200ml (not extortionate but still quite expensive) I thought I would give it a go. The first thing I noticed when I first used it was its lovely subtle citrusy smell which was really pleasant, especially first thing in the morning. The gel itself had quite a creamy consistency which, to be honest, I couldn't see foaming up a lot and, unfortunately, it didn't very much, especially for a product called iFoam, so this element of it was pretty disappointing. Because of the claims on the outside of the packaging ("I also simultaneously moisturise") I was expecting to step out of the shower with wonderful silky smooth skin, but this didn't happen either. It moisturised a little, but nowhere near as much as I was expecting, and nowhere near as much as my previous shower gel had either. This product is reasonably good as a shower gel, but I woouldn't buy it again as I can get one that does the job better but for a much lower price, It was just quite disappointing.
Having received the Soap and Glory hatbox stuffed full of S&G goodies for Christmas I could not wait to try them. I have refused up until now as I had to use my previous smellies up. Upon opening the distinctly retro looking hatbox, I was amazed by the combination of the range. There were ten products in my giftbox but the range contains so many more. There are body washes, scrubs, lotions butters, even perfume and the bee sting lipgloss - sexy mother pucker. Intriguing indeed! The retro theme continues along the product range. Each has it own catchphrase if you will. The product I am reviewing is the I-Foam ultra creamy body wash. I have used this for the past few days and it's become a favourite of mine. If the whole of the S&G range are like this I will have to change where my allegiances lie. I'm a L'occitane girl usually. When opening the pale blue flip top lid, you are greeted with a pale orangey colour creamy wash. The texture is quite runny, and you have to remember this is a body wash and not a gel. The fragrance is mild and gentle with a hint of citrus from the added orange oil. It is a lovely smell, not at all synthetic (because it isn't). This doesn't linger on the skin though, which is a benefit, as then it won't clash with your perfume for instance. This product is actually good for you, as it contains antioxidant grapeseed oil. What better reason to use it? The I Foam body wash has moisture molecules which release their moisture when massaged apparently. These cannot be felt upon the skin. In fact, I didn't even know they were there, although you do notice the intense moisturisation when used with a body puff. I cannot express how much I recommend this however, as use without the body puff left me unimpressed with the product. I had to keep reapplying as the I Foam did not actually foam. The actual S&G puff is too large for this product as it just sank in, did nothing, and I had to apply more. Upon using a smaller puff the next day, the product came into it's own. I could not believe how little body wash could produce such an abundance of soft creamy bubbles. After showering and drying I am astounded by the feel of my skin. I have awkward skin (to put it mildly) I have excema and psoriasis and cannot use many products, yet this has left my skin soft, not needing a lotion, and distinctly 'peachy'. I did apply the butter up body smoothing cream (for research purposes, you understand) but it was not necessarily needed. This, and other products from the range, are available to purchase from Boots the chemist, on every High Street, for £4.50 for 200ml, which I would say, would provide for approximately ten or so showers. The range, in it's entirety, is available online at www.soapandglorycosmetics.com. Please take a look at the website, it is as fun as the products they make. In summary - A quality product, and much cheaper than my usual, L'occitane. I think I have been well and truly converted. I love it!!!
