Advantages: Really luxurious product, comes with its own muslin cloth, doubles up as a mask.
Disadvantages: None really for me, might be a little strong for very sensitive skins.
I absolutely adore the Soap and Glory Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser. I think it is a really luxurious and fantastic skin care product. I always wanted a hot cloth cleaner that would work for me. I have tried Liz Earle's version several times over the years because of the fantastic reviews it always receives but to be honest, I do not think it is anything special. I was beginning to think that hot cloth cleaners were not for me full stop, then I tried the Soap and Glory version and it has completely changed my mind about hot cloth cleansers.
The Soap and Glory Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser is a fabulous cleanser which is supposed to be an all in one product which can cleanse, smoothe and polish your skin. As its name would suggest, it is aimed at cleaning deep down into your pores to remove all the dirt and oil from them. You get 100ml of the product for £10.00 so it is not that much cheaper then the Liz Earle version at full price, however more often then not it is on three for two so you can buy it for much cheaper. It comes with its own muslin cloth, which is of a very nice quality and a good little addition because it means you don't have to go to the effort of buying cloths seperately.
The tube that the cleanser comes in is very cute, well made and fit for its purpose. It is silver and pink. It has a screw top lid, and the tube itself is made of a foil type material, like a toothpaste tube, so you can fold the end down as you go to make it easier to get the product out of the tube. It is very easy to dispense the right amount out of the tube for you to use on your skin.
The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser contains a multitude of essential oils including, orange, lavender, clary sage and rose geranium, which are all fabulous for the skin. It also means that the cleanser smells fantastic when you apply it to your skin. Due to the essential oils, you have to be very careful you do not get the product in your eyes when you are removing your eye makeup. It also means that this might not be suited to people who have very sensitive skin. The cleanser also contains lots of lovely moisturising and conditioning ingredients including, sweet almond, cocoa butter and coconut, conditioning panthenol and vitamins.
It is really easy to use. You just wet your face and then massage the desired amount over your skin. Then you are supposed to leave the cleanser to sit on your skin for 1 minute before giving any problem areas a good massage with the product to really get all the oil and dirt out of those pores. You then remove it using the muslin cloth and warm water. The cleanser is really creamy and feels lovely and luxurious on the skin.
I actually use the Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleaner quite often as a mask, especially if I am giving myself a facial. I like to get out my facial steamer, steam my face for 15 minutes then apply this product. I give my face a really good massage with it and then leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Then I use the muslin cloth to remove it. I steam my face for another 15 minutes and then tone and moisturise. I feel like this is a really nice treat for my skin and leaves in fantastic condition. Nice and glowly and healthy looking.
I really love this product. I really feel like it cleans deep down into my pores and my skin always looks lovely and healthy after I have used it. It helps keep my face less oily after I have used it, probably because of all the essential oils. My skin just feels lovely and balanced, clean, soft and moisturised. I definately think this cleanser is worth trying out if you are in the market for a good hot cloth cleaner. It really is fantastic quality and I feel like it does a lot more for my oily, blemish prone skin then the Liz Earle ever did.
Overall I give the Soap and Glory Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleaner 10/10. I have nothing bad to say about it. I think it is good value and it does exactly what you would expect out of a hot cloth cleaner. The only think I would say is be careful with it if you have very sensitive skin.
