I love soap and glory and I've kinda made it my life mission to try out all of their products! Although expensive some of their products are as luxurious as a 5 star spa treatment and can make me feel like an Egyptian queen after a simple bath or shower. This Christmas I was lucky enough to get a lavish big gift set and Scrub of your life was part of it! I'm a big fan of scrubs, as my skin can become dry and dull so for a good pampering treat I like to use a scrub 3 or 4 times a week in the shower. Soap and Glory promise: "It's thick, it's foamy, it's fantastically fresh, it's satisfyingly stuffed with just the right ratio of scrubbing beads. Scented with our Original PinkTM fragrance." Okay so for a 200ml Scrub it'll set you back £7 which for me is quite expensive, my wage as a nurse doesn't stretch too far after all the bills have been paid and is more expensive than other scrubs available. However boots often offer deals on soap and glory products (such as 3 for 2) so if you're desperate have a look out for these. The packaging is very classic, basic delicious pink colour with bold scripture ensuring that the user knows exactly what they're getting. The tube consists of a flip top cap to ensure that minimum mess is made however as the product is so thick you've got to put some elbow grease into getting the desired amount out. As you can imagine as the product becomes less the harder it is to get it out, after a while I just cut open the top to scoop the product out myself as it was very stubborn on budging out the lid! The consistency of the product as I said is very thick and feels a bit gooey. It looks cool with the light coloured gel with little pink balls through it (which I assume do the exfoliating!) Its not the type of product that's easy to rub between your hands and apply so my method is squeezing out a 50p sized blob and rubbing it against my arm/leg/stomach and working around the area. The product foams almost instantaneously and actually feels like a luxurious cleanser rather than a hard working scrub. It can be easily worked on my skin after it foams however loses the 'scrubby feeling' quite quickly! After using the product my skin does feel soft but I must admit, I don't feel thoroughly exfoliated. The product diminishes quite quickly and unlike other scrubs I've used before, it doesn't last longer than about 3/4 weeks. This product works well with other Soap and Glory products such as The Righteous Butter but I can't help but feel that the body butter works harder than the scrub. I don't think I would really recommend this product, it is a nice treat but not if you're looking for something to work hard on your skin to buff and get rid of those pesky skin cells to reveal bright skin. Unfortunately for me, it's a bit of a slacker!
When it comes to Soap & Glory I am a huge fan of the range. I used to buy myself alot of products back in the day that I could afford them however times have changed and no longer do I have the spare money to buy them so choose to buy more economical products these days (as most of us have to!) However Christmas has just gone and a few people asked and fished about what I wanted. My Mum already knew I'd appreciate some Soap & Glory products, my friend though excelled and bought me the biggest gift set on sale on Boots.......anyway this is one of the many products that I ended up receiving. I have used a scrub from this range before but never this one so I have to admit that I was rather excited to receive and use it! The Packaging: This comes in a pale pink tube with a flip top lid to the base of it which conceals a small hole and on the front of it we are clearly told that it is The Scrub Of You Life and that it is indeed a Soap & Glory product and a bit about what it helps to achieve (in short its to remove rough skin) and that it is 200ml in size and then on the back of the tube other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, warnings are given as are the ingredients, we are told that from once opened that this should be used up within 24 months and contact details for the manufacturer are listed. This is a nice looking tube and easy to hold and to dispense the product out of and all in all I like the look of this girly looking product sat in my bathroom! Using It: I use this after washing my skin thoroughly first to make sure that I am nice and clean. The gel is clear and quite thick though as I have already mentioned and does dispense out of the tube with ease and there are little light 'scrubby' bits scattered throughout it which are a light pink shade in colour. The scent of this is what I think of as the original scent of Soap & Glory products which is a scent of bergamot, mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, oakmoss, amber, woody notes and vanilla and its simply a warm and womanly scent this one and very well blended indeed with no 'note' sticking out like a sore thumb. I take a small amount of this onto my damp skin and gently massage it in circles over skin that I feel would benefit from a gentle scrub, usually my elbows and bum though I don't think that it is abrasive enough for my hard skinned feet! A little of this goes a long way indeed, smells wonderful in use and although does feel gently exfoliate doesn't feel uncomfortable in use at all though it does feel like its doing something. Its simple enough to remove with warm water (I use this in the shower) and when I'm done my skin does feel softer and the scent lingers on my skin for a good few hours. Verdict: I really do like this one! Its simple to use and highly effective. Like i mentioned earlier I don't find this exfoliating enough on the rough skin of my feet however I use this once a week (sometimes twice) and I have noticed a significant improvement to the look, feel and texture of my skin so I really do appreciate this one very much indeed! Available in Boots at around about £7.00 a tube. This review is also posted on Ciao under this same username.
Soap and glory ---------------------- Soap and Glory is a range of skin and hair products available to buy from boots or online. They are very popular but quite a bit more expensive than many other similar products available. All Soap and Glory products look extremely similar, they are all a nice dusty pink colour and have big bold white writing and the logo on them. Today I am reviewing Soap and Glory scrub of your life. WHAT IS IT? ----------------- The scrub is a body wash that claims to soften your skin and smooth out and rough or hard areas of skin such as your elbows. The product comes in a squeezy bottle so it is easy to get out. The scrub is really very thick, it is a clear gel with teeny pink little bits in it. These are the bits that really scrub your skin I guess. USING THE SCRUB -------------------------- As soon as I squirted some out of the bottle I could smell the gorgeous soap and glory smell. It's quite strong but does smell lovely and luxurious. The bottle states that you should 'wet down in the shower' first so that's what I did. I started rubbing in to my wet skin and the gel immediately turns into more of a cream than the gel it was before. It becomes thick and white and very easy to rub in the skin. It feels very rich and good quality. You can feel the little pink bits in it rubbing against your skin, these bits rub to remove any dead or hard skin I suppose. You rub it in for as long as you want to and then simply rinse off. Unlike most shower gels or creams it doesn't come straight off after just standing under the shower. As it's quite thick I've found you have to give it a good rub under the shower too to get it all off completely. DOES IT WORK? --------------------- The short answer is yes it does!! After using this my skin really is so soft and smooth. It's amazing! The best part about it is the smell. Whilst applying the scrub it smells amazing, but for quite a while after showering I can still smell the soap and glory smell on my skin. Its such a beautiful girly smell without being really over powering. I'm not really sure how to describe the smell to you except for it's Fab and unique! PRICE AND AVAILABILITY ----------------------------------- Ok so here's the downside. Compared to most shower gels or shower creams it is pretty expensive. One 200ml bottle of this stuff is gonna set you back £7. To me that is a a Mega price tag on a shower wash. Saying that one bottle does go pretty far so it lasts well and it is amazing stuff. Also boots usually have 3 for 2 on all skin care and body care products including the full Soap and glory range so not too bad then. It is available from most boots stores and some online shops. The supermarkets do their own versions of the Soap and Glory products that look extremely similar for cheaper prices but I've not tried them yet so not sure if they are as good or not. CONCLUSION -------------------- There is no denying that this product is completely fabulous! It looks great, feels great, smells great! The price tag......not so great! But hey, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. So atleast you k ow you're paying for good quality. To me this product is great but to be used as more of a treat every now and then instead of an every day wash. 4/5 for me. One star off because it's a little too rich and too expensive for every day use. Thank you for reading, I hope my review was helpful xx Mrs K xx -------------------
When my friend gave me a carrier bag full of goodies earlier in the year I was so happy to find there was an unused 50ml tube of Soap and Glory 'Scrub of Your Life' amongst the toiletries that she said were 'surplus to requirements' (bless...). I love the smell of all their products and have not been disappointed when using any of them. No way could I afford to treat myself at the moment so I feel as if I'm being spoiled at the moment. I'm pretty sure the RRP on this 50ml is around the £2 mark and it is also available in travel size (24ml) and 200ml. It comes as pictured and as you can see it stands on the flip top lid which I like because the scrub is always easily accessible. I have rationed myself when using the scrub, using it only a dozen or so times, but there still seems to be plenty left. The directions on the tube tell me to 'wet down in shower, turn off water. Squeeze out a handful and get a smooth on' then 'scrub and soap until you're satisfied'. I love the directions they give you as to how to use their products but unfortunately I do not have a shower so use it in my bath but luckily it does not leave a grimy tide and my bathroom smells so good. I tend to get rough skin around my elbows, knees and outer thighs and this scrub works a treat. Not only does it exfoliate well but leaves my skin feeling super soft and I notice a real difference when I apply self tan because it glides on and seems to last longer. Although it is a scrub I do not find it harsh and the little scrubbing beads are effective but not at all scratchy. When the foamy textured scrub is rinsed off, which is easily done, I find that I do not need to moisturise because my skin feels and looks hydrated and smooth. The bonus, of course, is the unique fragrance too which seems to last for ages. Everyone who has ever smelt S & G products will be familiar with the fresh modern smell which, although summery, can cheer me up in the winter months too. Ingredients? - well for those who are keen on knowing exactly what goes onto/into their skin, there is quite a list including some chemical-sounding names such as hexylcinnamal, titanium oxide and tetrasodiumEDTA etc but also some that I recognise such as synthetic wax, mandarin orange peel extract, citral and bark extract. I have to say I love this scrub because it not only gets rid of dead skin cells but also makes my skin feel good and I smell 'divine' (so I'm told lol!)
I think just about everyone has heard of Soap & Glory and I had heard good things about it but I only actually tried some of the products out this year. I get my soap & Glory products from Boot s but I do try and wait for an offer or extra advantage card points before buying any, this one costs £250 for 50mls or £7 for 200mls which of course is better value. The product comes in a lovely dusky pink coloured plastic tube, it states scrub of your life on the front of it and also has the statement "the ultimate super-smoothing body buffer." On the back of the tube you have the directions for use which is basically wet your skin, scrub your body with the product and when you are satisfied rinse it off again. The tube has a flip top lid which is easy to open, the product inside is very thick and pale pink in colour but then you can see darker pink little beads inside it. The scrub isn't at all sticky and is easy to use to scrub your body with, I use my fingertips and scrub in little circles, the scrub is quite easy to rinse off although occasionally there are a couple of beads left behinds after rinsing. I find that my skin is left feeling lovely and smooth when I use this but I do also find it can be a bit drying so I do have to use moisturising lotion afterwards. This does seem to rid my skin of dead skin cells which is great and the smells remains on your skin which is a lovely sweet and fruity scent. I would give this 4 stars due to the drying effect on my skin.
=Soap & Glory The Scrub of Your Life= I love Soap and Glory items, and at Christmas, I treat myself to some of the little gift sets, to get to trial the products, and also do get some for presents. =50ml Travel Size Bottle= The Scrub of your life is a body scrub, the scrub comes in a pink bottle, and with this the lid is the base of the product. The product is designed as the same standard as the traditional sized bottles. =Now to business= The scrub is a clear gel like substance, but it has little bits of pink gritty stuff, which is the scrub element of the product. With it just being a small travel size bottle, I wanted to savour the product, so just used the scrub on my arms and my feet. =Ease of Use= It was really easy to use the scrub, it just rubbed very easily into my skin, and the consistency was not hard to rub into. Once rubbed in, I just washed the scrub off with the shower head, it was easy to wash away and there was no grittiness left behind. =Smoothness= I noticed the difference within 2 days of using the scrub, my feet felt very soft, and my arms were nice and soft as well, no dryness, as I find with central heating being on that it sucks the moisture from my skin. =Scent= The scrub has the lovely flowerily smell that we associate with the Soap and Glory range, and as I was using their shower gel there was no clash of scents. =Since Then= I have purchased the full size bottle and I use the scrub about once a week to help keep my skin in tip top condition, and find that is perfect enough for my skin. =Price= Soap and Glory is sold in Boots, and generally a 200ml bottle is £7, although it is worth keeping an eye out as there are sometimes offers on such as buy 3 for 2, or buy 1 get one half price. =Would I recommend= I would highly recommend this product, as a little does really go a long way.
I first discovered the soap and glory brand when I won a hamper at work. When I opened the hamper there were some soap and glory goodies in there. I had never heard of the products before but soon became addicted to them as they smell so good and also do a great job. This scrub comes in a tube. The tube is a lovely pink color (like all the soap and glory products). The scrub is great for removing dead skin cells and getting rid of rough skin from your elbows and knees. The thing I love best about this scrub is the smell, it really is a fresh and girly smell I have used it loads of times now and find that the smell of this scrub really does stay on your skin for a long time. I use this in the shower its easy to use I just put a little in my hands and then rub my hands all over my body in circular motions. I pay special attention to my knees and elbows as these are really problem areas for me but I use it all over my body so that there are no dead skin cells anywhere. I use it once a week and have found that this seems to keep on top of the problem and keeps my skin looking bright and in great condition. After I had used it a couple of times I could really see a difference, my skin does look much better and somehow brighter. In addition to the way your skin will look after using this I have also found that it feels so soft and smooth its great!! As I mentioned I got this as a gift but have bought a couple of other tubes since and they cost around £6. Look out for offers though because around Christmas time they were on offer as 3 for 2 so I used the excuse to stock up!! I would recommend this product to everyone its really great I couldn't live without it now!
I have recently just started using lot's of Soap and Glory products and I must say I absolutely love them. I was lucky enough to get a massive goody bag of Soap and Glory products for Christmas and one of the items in the bag was The Scrub Of Your Life. This is a body scrub which you can use in the bath/shower to buff your skin. Like all Soap and Glory products it comes in a trade mark baby pink coloured, squeezy, tube. To use the tube you simply flip open the hinge-type lid and squeeze the desire amount of scrub into your hand. The consistency of the scrub is very thick and creamy which lathers up with ease once in contact with the skin. The scrub is clear, with pink little exfoliation beads in it, which are rubbed into the skin to remove impurities and dead skin. The beads are not too rough on my skin and I would say it is more of a light exfoliation, which is all I need. Once I have used this scrub my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth. I have psoriasis and this products does not irritate my skin at all. In fact I wold go as far as to say that it actually helps to remove excess skin. I have found many scrubs where the exfoliation is just not enough to make my skin feel smooth but this one certainly does the job. After I have used this scrub I normally use Sugar Crush Body Butter Cream which is also part of the Soap and Glory range. On the tube it says, ' We'd suggest you to follow all this with a Soap & Glory body moisturizer, but were biased'. I love the little witty quips which are on all Soap and Glory products, it is great reading material in the shower. All of Soap and Glory's products have a lovely sweet, fruity smell and this once is no exception. Even after a couple of hours after use I can still smell the lovely scent of this scrub on my skin. You can purchase this body scrub (200ml) in Boots for £7.00. This is quite expensive for a body scrub, but is well worth it. I have had my body scrub since Christmas, I probably use it three times a week, and it is only just starting to come to the end of its life. I don't tend to use much on my skin as a small dollop of scrub seems to go a long way, as it foams up really well. Soap and Glory put a number of different quotes on there products, which I think are witty and amusing. On this body scrub Soap and Glory states: 'The ultimate super-smoothing body buffer, How you'll know it's 'the one': * once rough elbows go suddenly silky *dry shims become suspiciously shimmery *the bumps are gone from the back of your arms *you start to believe scrub can conquer all' Overall I would definitely recommend this scrub if you want a mild exfoliation, maybe not so much if you are after a more deep exfoliation. The smell is delicious and it leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft. I love all Soap and Glory products and this one it definitely one of my favorites.
I went into Boots soon after Christmas to look over the half price gift sets to see if I could treat myself to any bargains. I used a lot of my advantage points to get a soap and glory gift set that was for sale for £8, reduced from £16. It came with a washbag which was the main attraction for me but there was also a number of beauty products inside, including a 50ml bottle of their 'scrub of your life' body scrub. I'll admit that I've never used this as a whole body scrub, I've only used it on my face. That's because I find that it works brilliantly on my face and as the bottle is only quite small, I think I'd have ran out very quickly using it as a whole body scrub. I've had very positive results although I assume the same positive results would be found using anywhere on the body. The scrub comes in a pink bottle, shaped like a lot of beauty products in that the bottle stands on it's lid. The scrub itself is clear with small pink gritty bits in it, the bits that essentially make the scrub factor. The scrub feels like a gel when I squeeze a 10p sized amount on my hands, but it isn't overly thick and I find that it's consistency makes it fairly easy to rub onto my face. I just lightly rub it over my whole face and then wash it straight off with warm water and pat my face dry with a towel. It is easy to wash off, it doesn't seem to stick to the skin. I also don't find I need very much to cover my whole face, two blobs covers it. I don't find that much of a 'scrub' is needed to get super results. My skin is left very smooth afterwards, I was actually very surprised the first couple of times I used it as to how soft my skin felt to touch. This feeling lasts as well! It's hard to describe but it actually feels like my skin has been allowed to breath, it just feels so clean and fresh after use. I find it helps using it in a morning instead of washing my face as I normally do with soap alone because it seems to smooth out my skin and makes it easier to apply my liquid foundation on top afterwards. The scrub also has a very nice scent that lingers for a good couple of hours after using. I can be getting on with my day and then suddenly have a lovely whiff of this drift past! If you're familiar with the range of soap and glory, I find that it has a similar scent to the majority of their products (apparently they call it the 'original pink' scent). For those that aren't familiar, it is quite a strong scent but that's in a good way - it smells of flowers to me but they describe it as being fruity and citrus scents. The only other thing I should say is that I have sensitive skin and sometimes find beauty products don't agree with me very much - I've had no issues with this though, I've used it regularly with no problems. I would rate the 'scrub of your life' body scrub 4 stars, the only thing letting it down is the price as I think it's a little expensive for what you essentially get - a full size bottle of 200ml in Boots will set you back £7 so I'm not sure when my bottle has run out if I'll continue using it. Thanks for reading :o)
I recently stocked up on a whole load of mini Soap and Glory products for my upcoming holiday and one of the products that I see as a must have when going away somewhere hot and sandy is a body scrub because it really works to take away all your salty skin and suntan lotion after a long hard day relaxing by the pool. I'm so pleased this scrub comes in a small travel sized version as this is one of my favourite scrubs that they do. The scrub is really easy to squeeze out onto your hand and Soap and Glory say the best way to use it is in the shower as it can get nice and wet and smooth on your skin. I actually like to use this as an effective hand scrub as I find it works really well on my dry skin on my hands if I wet my hands first and then use some as an exfoliant. The scrub is not as grainy or as sugary as their sugar scrub but its a nice everyday, clean away your dead skin scrub. Its in a thick lotion but the particles are quite small and more sand like than big chunks of scrub. It is really easy to smooth over your skin though and it makes my skin feel really smooth after use. Soap and Glory ask the question, "How you'll know it's 'the one': - once rough elbows go suddenly silky - dry shins become suspiciously shimmery - the bumps are gone from the backs of your arms - you start to believe that scrub can conquer all" I like the way they have put this because this scrub really does work and you can get nice result by using it. The smell is absolutely amazing and if you love Soap and Glory products as much as I do then you will be very familiar with that fruity, intoxicating, unique fragrance. It is a combination of fresh bergamot and mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, oakmoss, amber, woody notes and warm vanilla. It is lovely and fresh and stays on my skin for quite a while afterwards making me feel really clean and fresh. A 50ml flip cap lid tube costs just £2.50, a bargain in my opinion. It won't last that long but its great for traveling or taking away for the weekend and is definitely a scrub I recommend!
Last Christmas I received several toiletry gift sets, which I was absolutely delighted about. I tend to buy everyday toiletries, so to receive pretty gift sets is always nice. One of these sets was a Soap & Glory one, from Boots, with several travel sized items in it. I've read about Soap & Glory a lot, but it's not a range I had ever tried. It wasn't long before I understood what all the fuss was about. One of the products was a small tube of body scrub, called The Scrub of Your Life. I've since bought a full size tube at £7. The packaging of the scrub, as with the whole range, is predominantly pink and quite fun, with silly little slogans emblazoned on it. Both tubes, travel size and regular, are easy to squeeze and the scrub comes out with little effort. When I got to the end of the travel size tube, I was able to get almost all the scrub out of it. The scrub itself is a pale pink with glittery flecks through, very pretty and enticing. The first time I used it, the first thing which grabbed my attention was the fragrance. I don't even know what the fragrance is, but I love it. It is delicate and probably floral in origin, but strong enough that the whole bathroom smells gorgeous after I've used it. The fragrance was what hooked me as soon as I squeezed some scrub out of the tube that first time, and it's what has kept me hooked since. Sometimes I just open the tube to have a sniff. Enough of what it smells like though, is it a good scrub? Is it the Scrub of Your Life? I've always stood by the Body Shop Cocoa Butter Scrub as being the best scrub out there, both for its scrub action and its fragrance, but the Scrub of Your Life matches it. The fragrance is totally different, but as a scrub it works just as well. It lathers more than the Body Shop one, which is creamier rather than soapy, but ultimately the Scrub of Your Life scrubs off dead skin and leaves my skin nice and smooth, which is what matters. It performs as well as my beloved Body Shop Cocoa Butter Scrub, but because the fragrance is so different, it's an alternative, not a replacement. As you may have guessed, I've fallen slightly in love with Soap & Glory and the Scrub of Your Life - glowing reviews for more of their products to follow. I've already bought myself one tube of the Scrub of Your Life since I finished the small one from my gift set, and I'm sure there will be plenty more to come.
WHAT IS IT? The Scrub Of Your Life is a body buffer from Soap & Glory. THE PACKAGING It comes in a pink tube that I think looks very nice with all of the rest of my Soap & Glory body products because they make a nice display together. The one I am using now is a travel size 50ml tube and the full size is 125ml, I have used the big tube but received this in a gift set from my husband for valentines day. It is easy to squeeze the scrub out even though it is thick. HOW DO YOU USE IT? Wash in the shower and rub the scrub into your body and concentrate on areas that do not feel smooth. It is very easy to rinse off when you stand back under the water. WHAT I THINK I like The Scrub Of Your Life very much and I use it very regular even though I like to use other brands also. It smells clean and very feminine, I like the way the smell lasts on my skin because it is attractive and makes me feel fresh and clean. It has made my skin feel a lot softer and I think it is very moisturising as well as the exfoliating beads being effective. There are not many beads comparing to other body scrubs but they work effectively and slough off dead skin because when I rinse my skin is pink and fresh. I like the way it turns into a cream when i am washing because it feels like a designer body scrub and I think that is what makes my skin feel so soft and moisturised. I do not think it is strong enough for my elbows and I use a special product for those but it is very good all over the rest of my body. ANYTHING ELSE It costs £5 for 125ml but a tube doesn't last for very long because it does not spread very well so I use a lot each time. 5 Dooyoo Stars.
Ever since recieving a minatures box of Soap & Glory products I have been hooked on the moisturisers and scrubs. Soap & Glory is described as a fun, fresh British beauty brand known for bath body and skincare products including the award winning Righteous Butter. This particular product is produced in the famous baby/bubblegum pink 1950's design tube looking good in any ladies bathroom or on any dresser. Being in a tube makes it easier to use than some of the tubs as wet shower hands often make the lids slippy or in the case of tubs too much water gets into the products. I use the scrub with exfoliating gloves so I can use it more effectively than with the scrunchie. This is ideal for use with fake tans or people who exercise regularly to get the skin ultra clean. I wouldn't do it more than once a week though as the skin can get a little raw. This scrub I find ideal for rough skin on the feet in combination with the Righteous butter; I also use this on my face as I have greasy skin with regular breakouts and have found my face in general is drier for a few more hours. This item comes in sets, from Boots at £7 a tube or can be found for £2.50 on Ebay (minus p&p).
I recieved the big Soap and glory box for christmas last year and got this in there alongside some of their other products. It's an exfoliating body scrub that you can use in the shower or bath. The price is £7 for 200ml It comes in a bubble gum pink tube with the usual Soap and Glory, sixties style black and white themed decor on the front. It's similar to a toothpaste tube with a flip lid which is easy to use in the shower when your hands are wet. There's some information and gimmicks on the back of how to use it and a list of the ingredients. The scrub itself is a cream/pale brown colour and you can clearly see the exfoliating 'beads' in it. It's a nice thick consistency which is better for a scrub so you can control and use it with your hands or a scrunchie. It has a really lovely sweet, almost fruity smell to it. I used the scrub in the shower along with a scrunchie. I love a really invigorating body scrub as it makes you feel really clean, so I had a good scrub with this. You can really feel the bits in it rubbing against your skin as it is quite gritty. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who uses fake tan as it would be good for exfoliationg before you use it. My skin had that raw, clean feel to it when I'd finished showering. I'm not sure if you're really meant to, but I also used this on my face. I have combination skin which gets oily on my t-zone but can get dry in other places so I like to use a good exfoliating wash. The facewash that came in the bag was meant to be exfoliating but the beads were a bit too gentle. This scrub was perfect and I was able to scrub my face really well with it. It left my skin feeling so soft and clean. To my suprise, it didn't bring me out in any blemishes either which I thought must mean it's a pretty good quality scrub if you can use it on your face and body without it being too tough for the more sensitive facial skin. I didn't want to waste this scrub as I really liked it, so sometimes when I showered, I'd put a little bit of this and mix it with my normal dove or Imperial leather shower gel which is a lot cheaper. You still get a little exfoliating with the mixed smell of a different shower gel and the sweet one of this which is quite nice. I wouldn't recommend using this scrub in the bath though. I did, and once you've washed it off you've got a beady residue in the bath which I didn't really like and you have to wash it out the bath afterwards too. I think it's better to use in the shower. The scrub is usually available in the big sets they do this time of year but you can also buy it individually too. It's £7.00 for a 200ml tube which seems quite pricey but I have to say it's the best one I have used. I've only seen it for sale in Boots and online like ebay and amazon, I'm not sure if it's an exclusive brand to Boots? They often have a three for two offer on which means you can buy three soap and glory products and the cheapest will be free so look out for that! Overall, this is definitely worth the money. It is my favourite soap and glory product as it's so effective and smells great too. Definitely worth a try if you haven't used it before!
==Overview== Scrub of your Life is a play on words (Love of your Life) from Soap & Glory and is essentially an exfoliator. The official description states that it "has a scent that combines fresh bergamot and mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, oakmoss, amber, woody notes and warm vanilla". The price is £7 for 200ml and you can buy it in Boots the Chemist (and I'm not sure where else? I think it is exclusive to Boots). Scrub of your Life like all Soap and Glory products comes in pink vintage-style packaging so is quite distinctive to the Soap and Glory range. ==The Smell== From the official description of the scrub I can tell why I like the smell so much. I adore peach, strawberry and vanilla, so you can imagine this is a very sweet smelling scrub. The scent lingers on your skin for quite a while after you have got out of the bath or shower which is something I quite like. As with all Soap and Glory products, I'm not seduced by their quirky packaging or funny slogans, I just love the smell of all of their products. They are all very sweet and girly and this is no exception. ==The Scrub== As far as body scrubs go, this is pretty good. It has a good amount of shower gel to scrubbing bead ratio, so you feel as though you have scrubbed your skin quite well. It is gentler than my favourite exfoliator which is St Tropez Body Polish and that really feels like someone is scratching at your skin. This scrub from Soap and Glory is a lot more gentle on the skin but still does quite a good job. The other huge bonus for me is that it doesn't feel oily to touch afterwards like so many scrubs do. I can't bear the feeling of "additional moisturisation" from scrubs, I prefer to get out of the bath with my skin feeling clean and dry not oily so in that respect this scrub is perfect. I don't feel it is strong enough to slough dead skin off my feet, nor does it make my feet feel any softer so something a little more abrasive would be wonderful for that. ==Value for Money== At £7 for 200ml, it may seem quite expensive compared to some of the cheaper scrubs on offer. However, Boots often do 3 for the price of 2 on Soap and Glory, so I can usually pick up 3 for £14, less than £5 each which I think is pretty good value. Using it on average twice per week this scrub lasts me around 10-12 months. I definitely can't complain about getting value for money! ==Overall== This is one of my favourite body scrubs. It definitely scrubs your skin, smells delicious and leaves skin feeling soft but dry (not oily). At less than £5 for 200ml which lasts me the best part of a year, it is excellent value for money and I will buy this again and have bought it before.
A smoothing body buffer.
