Soap & Glory The Scrub of Your Life
Advantages: Sweet Scent, Soft Skin, Nourishment for Dry Skin
Disadvantages: Ever so slightly expensive
Up until recently I was a virgin to using products by Soap and Glory; that was until Christmas when I was given a trio of travel sized items in a neat little gift set. One of these items was the Scrub of Your Life body exfoliator which I found to be a great answer to my dry skin problems.
The Product and Packaging ~
As with all Soap and Glory products, this one is packaged in a neat pink upright tube which is illustrated with 'The Scrub of Your Life' in white text and the Soap and Glory Logo. This packaging is simple yet effective as it stands out from the usual wash products on a shelf whilst looking girly and feminine at the same time. I have a 50ml tube of this product however it also comes in a 200ml bottle.
This tube opens easily by simply clicking back the pink flip top lid at the base of the tube and squeezing the scrub out. This design is particularly handy in my opinion for bath time as it means that the tube can be opened and squeezed easily and does not leave a small amount of product in the base when you inevitably get to the dregs at the end.
Upon squeezing a small amount of product out it is noticeably gel like in consistency with a scattering of bright pink sand like particles. The highlight of this scrub is the smell which is highly floral and vanilla at the same time, a great scent which in my opinion encapsulates the essence of being feminine.
Soap and Glory state that this product contains body butter to smooth and moisturise the skin whilst scrubbing.
Price and Availability ~
I have seen this product mainly whilst out shopping in Boots and here a 50ml tube will set you back £2.35 and a 200ml bottle £6.64. However, it is also possible to purchase this product more economically online from such stores as ASOS and Amazon.
To use simple squeeze a dollop of scrub into a wet palm and rub all over wet skin in a circular motion. Upon contact with water this scrub turns into a thick lather which spreads easily across the skin and means that a little will go a long way. To remove simply rinse with clean water and moisturise the scrubbed areas.
As with all scrub related products, Soap and Glory recommend that this product does not come into contact with abraded or irritated skin.
The Results ~
I must admit to being a fan of body scrubs that can be used all over the body including the face and this one did just that. The scrub easily exfoliated the dry skin around my feet and hands whilst also being gentle enough to use on my face due to the smaller pink particles. The scrub leaves skin feeling highly refreshed but also moisturised without the stripping properties of other exfoliating gels. Additionally this product smelt heavenly with a scent that lasted a good couple of hours after washing.
Although slightly expensive, this body scrub does moisturise as well as buffing and is therefore worth the extra pounds in my opinion. As a result, I would highly recommend this body scrub for all girly girls of any age and would therefore score it five stars out of five.
Thanks for taking the time to read my review.
