Exfoliating is a necessary part of every girl's beauty regime, and there is a multitude of ways to gets that scrubbing done! I have started exfoliating every time I'm in the bath or shower to boost the condition of my skin. This Cranberry Body Polish from The Body Shop was a limited edition item and formed part of the Cranberry range that was available over past Christmas seasons. I managed to get it reduced down to a bargain price of £1.00 for a 75ml bottle.
The Body Shop say: "Sweet, fruit and festive. Gentle exfoliation. Preservative free. Not for facial use."
The product comes in a simple tube that has a bit of a festive touch to its label design. The plastic is clear which allows you to easily see how much you have left. I found it easy to get the body polish out of the tube until I was nearing the end, and then it seemed reluctant to move in spite of lots of shaking and squeezing! This Cranberry Body Polish looks like a thick shower gel and have a quite a heavy consistency. The gel is a nice shade of red which again fits in with the festive and cranberry themes.
I love the tangy fruity smell of cranberries, and this Cranberry Body Polish has a rich fragrance. It is heavily scented and the cranberry smell seems quite sharp although there is a little edge of sweetness to it that balances out and makes for a very pleasant fruity fragrance.
Exfoliating removes dead skin cells leaving your skin refreshed and looking healthy, as well as smoothing the surface and boosting circulation. The great thing about this Body Polish is that it gives a precise abrasive scrub, but does not cause skin to become dry or irritated. I found that the texture of the scrub made it easy to spread over my skin, and the small granules were perfect for giving a good hard rub on the areas that need it the most. The gel-like formula allowed it to foam up into a nice rich lather which felt like it was protecting my skin at the same time, as well as cleansing. It was almost more like an exfoliating shower gel than an ordinary body scrub. There are exfoliating particles of varying sizes spread throughout the gel, and these work together to give your skin a good clean. Unfortunately you then need to give the bath a good clean as well once you've finished, as the bits do tend to get stuck and leave a mess behind afterwards.
This was a good product that I enjoyed using, but sadly it is no longer being made. It didn't last for long as the bottle only contained a small 75ml amount and I would like to get my hands on a similar replacement with a larger amount that would last me for longer. Time for me to check out The Body's Shop's January sale!

The Cranberry Body Polish was launched christmas 2008 as part of the cranberry range, also available is body butter and bubble bath. I first tried this as my partners mum got me it for christmas- first time I haven't been disappointed in presents from boyfriends mums!
The cranberry body polish contains cranberry seeds and crushed walnut shell for exfoliating and gently scrubbing away dead and dull skin cells. I found the seeds and shell were a nicer alternative to the usual gritty exfoliators as they were a lot gentler on the skin allowing this scrub to be part of a daily routine, however if you are wanting a deep scrubbing I would recommend something more gritty. The product itself is a jelly type consistancy which is easy to lather up without it running away before you get chance to rub it in as a lot of exfoliators do. The smell is so nice. Its christmassy and rich but really juicy at the same time plus the smell lasts on your body after you get out of the shower.
Cranberry Body Polish comes in a squeezy upside-down 200ml tube for £8.80.
