      sweet dreams

Sometimes I can really struggle to sleep properly; from initially actually falling asleep, to then staying asleep all night and not tossing and turning and waking up every half hour. I'm a real grouch in the mornings if I've not had enough sleep, and if this has gone on for a few days then I'm an absolute devil to live with, we've even come close to divorce as I'm so bad-tempered with lack of sleep.

I use the Deep Sleep Dreamy Pillow and Body Mist from The Body Shop every night, which really does help an awful lot. The last time I bought a replacement bottle of the pillow mist from The Body Shop I noticed that they also sell a bubble bath in the same range, the Deep Sleep Comforting Milk Bath Float. I do find that having a long soak in the bath can sometimes help me to relax before going to bed, so I decided to give this bubble bath a try as I figured it would be perfect to combine with the pillow mist to ensure that I get a good nights sleep.

The Deep Sleep Comforting Milk Bath Float comes in a 400ml bottle, and it currently costs £14. The bottle is tall and thin, and has a flip top cap. I actually prefer to unscrew the cap completely and just pour the bubble bath out of the bottle rather than squeezing in out of the hole under the flip top, I just find it quicker and easier this way.

I pour this under the warm running water and then just give it a swish and swirl around. It doesn't actually create an awful lot of bubbles, you do get some bubbles but not masses and masses of them. It's more of a 'bath milk' as it's name suggests. It turns the bath water a milky white colour, and it makes the bath water feel silky soft if that makes sense. If you do want more bubbles then you can use more of this to create them, but you'll just race through the bottle in no time then, and it is quite expensive. I just use a small amount of this and I've found this is adequate. I've been using this about twice a week on average, and the bottle has lasted me about 2 months.

This smells really lovely, it doesn't smell like lavender as you would probably expect a sleep aid to. This has quite a sweet scent to it, a sweet orange fragrance I would say, and I can also smell chamomile in this too. It has a really relaxing and soothing fragrance, and it really does help me to relax and to fall asleep. In fact some evenings I can find myself nodding off whilst still actually in the bath.

I find that this bubble bath is the perfect accompaniment to the pillow mist; a bubble bath with this, pjs on, a few spritzes of the pillow mist and I'm normally out like a light. I tend to sleep better and I don't wake so many times in the night either. I'd definitely recommend this bubble bath for anyone that struggles to get to sleep. It is expensive but surely a good nights sleep is worth it, it is for me anyway.
