My absolute favourite perfume at the minute is the body shop Neroli Jasmine perfume but the problem with it is that it doesn't last. Because it is so nice I have bought all the accompanying products to go with it to ry and make myself smell of the Neroli Jasmine scent for the entire day. Obviously the firs product I start with is the shower gel. This costs £6.50 so is quite expensive for a shower gel but you do get a large 200ml bottle of it which when used with a shower puff lasts quite a long time. It comes in a clear plastic bottle and is slightly amber in colour. The makers have designed it really well and have made it extrememly easy to open and close when I'm in the shower and my hands are wet and soapy. I was unsure how good a shower gel would work with helping to layer a scent as I thought it would just wash off but I was susprised to find that the smell does cling to my skin and shockingly it actually lasts longer than the perfume in terms of being able to smell it on me at the end of the day. Obviously the smell is extremely subtle but I am happy that it is so long lasting. As a shower gel it is fantastic. I always think the body shop excell in the area of shower gels and this one is no different. It is soap free and leaves my skin feeling really clean and soft when I have used it. As I said with a shower puff a little goes a long way and just a little amount on a puff gives a great foam which is enough to do my entire body. It leaves me feeling really clean and fresh and I can't fault it as a shower gel. When showering the smell of oranges and Jasmine really fill the bathroom and even when drying off the smell lingers and fills the whole upstairs. When I add the mosiuriser and the body mist I am already smelling dicine and the Eau de toilette on top just adds the finishing touch and I find that doing this allows me to be able to smell of the scent for the entire day. I was a bit hesitant to pay so much for a shower gel but I am glad I did and have even been back and bought some different scented ones because I found this to be so good. It may be more epensive than my usual £1 shower gels but it is in a class of it's own compared to them and I can highly recommended it.
I'm still working my way through my Christmas stash of beauty goodies. I received a little Neroli Jasmine gift set from the Body Shop, and have been using the shower gel over the past few days. As will all Body Shop shower gels, it's packaged in a clear bottle so you can see the contents, with a flip lid. The lids on the bottles are well made and are easy to open and close with wet hands. When I first looked at the shower gel, I thought it looked like a pale peach and it looked very nice. I wasn't sure about the immediate smell I got from the bottle when I took a sniff back at Christmas time. I couldn't place what it smelt of back then, but as I've been using it more frequently, I have been able to train my sense of smell around it to get a better idea. On first sniff a very sweet perfume smell comes across, but other than thinking it smells like a posh overpriced perfume, I couldn't tell you any more than that. As I use it, and the smell lingers on my skin after my shower, I have realised that as you leave the gel the aroma settles against your skin and is a much nicer smell. It is still quite perfumey, but there is a nice sweetness to my skin for hours after I have used it. It's also makes me feel quite fresh which is nice at the end of the day. The website describes Neroli Jasmine as being a blend or orange blossom with oriental and warm jasmine notes. I cannot even get one small hint of orange from the bottle though so it must be a very small amount. The shower gel works best on a shower puff as it's such a thick consistency that when you apply it to your skin with just your hands, the gel kind of glides over your skin rather than lathers up. It needs a lot of encouragement and extra water without a shower puff, but a small amount in a shower puff lathers the gel up a lot and a little bit will go a long way. For some reason whilst I find the shower gel to linger on my body for a long time, I find my hands have a kind of soapy feel to them after I've used this gel, and I can't stand my hands feeling odd in any way. I learnt that I have no option but to use a shower puff when using this gel for this very reason. My skin also doesn't feel any different after using this gel for a period of time. A 200ml bottle of this shower gel will cost you £6.50. This is on the expensive side, but the bottle will last you months as you need such a small amount. This shower gel isn't one I would have chosen for myself and whilst I like the smell after a rocky start, I don't think I will be buying it again given the chance. There are so many other fragrances from the Body Shop that I prefer.
I always love Body Shop products, I tried this product in the shop when it first came out but didn't choose to buy it. I received a small Body Shop Gift Box which was Neroli Jasmin based products. The bottle came in a 60ml size but you can get in a larger size. The product comes in a plain but simple bottle as with all Body Shop products they come in recycled packaging. The bottle is clear as with any Body Shop product they all have the same design and let the products do the talking. My first impression of the product when pouring it out onto my bath lily was the scent was quite strong but also very floral. It has a nice fragrance and the gel itself lasts ages as a little goes a long way. The fragrance contains Jasmin which contains mood enhancers and left me feeling uplifted and in a chirpy mood. Overall I enjoyed using this product and would recommend it to anyone.
I got this gel for my Christmas last year and have just got around to using it just now. You can buy this individually, but I got it as part of a set consisting of Shower Gel, Body Lotion and eau de Toilette. I love the Body Shop products, as although they can seem expensive their products work really well and always have a great scent. My bottle size is 60ml, but the one you can buy individually is 250ml. I think the price is normally £5.50, but near Christmas you can buy these in the packs that I got, which is always a good present as you are getting to try the whole range of the product. The bottle is a standard bottle. It is see through plastic and you can see the light orange gel through the bottle. It has a white plastic flip lid. It has a wrap round sticker on it with all the details of ingrediants and so on on it. Most importantly the smell. It is a gorgeous smell. It smells strong out of the bottle and it does scent your skin well, but not as strong as it first smells out of the bottle. it is a heavy, musky smell. You can definitely smell the Jasmin in it. If you use this in the morning and smell your arm last thing at night you can still smell it lingering. It smells good used on it's own, but using the body lotion then the perfume afterwards really boosts the smell. I would recommend trying this if you like heavier scents, as it is beautiful
