---Why I Tried This---

I love fruit fragrances and am trying all the Body Shop's various fruit shower gels this olive fragrance one also appeared online so I thought I would also give it a try..

---Body Shop Brand---

The Body Shop was founded i the 1970s by Anita Roddick but has now been taken over by L'Oréal.
From their website - 'The Body Shop has always believed passionately that animals should not be used for cosmetic testing. We have never tested our products on animals. Similarly, we insist that all our suppliers have not tested their ingredients on animals for cosmetic purposes.
We're incredibly proud of our dedication to this issue, and our global campaigning against cosmetic animal testing. The EU banned animal testing for finished cosmetic products in 2004, and for ingredients in 2009.'

---The Product---

The gel comes in a clear bottle holding 250 ml.
It has a clear flip top lid and the gel is a gorgeous dark olive green colour.
The gel is quite thick so you do not waste any and only a little is used at a time.
The gel is soap free and 'lightly fragranced' and lathers well.
The front label is transparent to show the liquid inside.
At the bottom of the label is a slim banner of green olive images.
Contains Community Fair Trade olive oil form Southern Italy.
Made in UK and use within twelve months of opening.
If product gets in eyes wash out with clean water.
The top label on the back can then be peeled back to reveal that it contains organic olive oil and that Body Shop is against animal testing.

---Ingredients---

Full list at bottom of review - it contains Fair Trade organic olive oil from Italy.

---Cost---

£4 for 250 ml. But you can often find discounts on the Body Shop website - and I presume in the store as well. I bought this when on discount.

---Availability---

From any Body Shop shop but I purchase from their website. The postage here is £2.99 but the company often has special deals for free postage so by ordering when there is a special offer could mean you have free postage plus also get a % off the total cost of your order as well.

---My Opinion---

I was not sure about this shower gel when it arrived as the aroma from inside the bottle did not seem half as inviting as the fruity ones I had bought so this one was consigned to the back of the drawer for a good few months.
The bottles cost £4 each (but I did usually get mine when there were special offers on the website) but definitely worth it as a little treat for yourself.
Like the other Body Shop bath/shower gels this lathers really well in both the bath or shower, needs very little and has a delicious unusual aroma. I cannot really describe the smell but it is appealing, not overpowering and would suit both men and women - so a great all-rounder. I think probably the smell reminds me of Bamboo perfume and shower gels I used to get from Yve Rocher - a good 'green' fragrance.
In the bath it produced a mass of bubbles which did last quite a while - but not until I had finished the bath - as by then they had all disappeared - though I do tend to soak for half an hour - so I would not complain about that. It also left my skin feeling soft and supple.
The fact that the front label is transparent is slightly wasted as the back label is not so you cannot see right through the bottle to get the full glory of the green colour.

---Would I Recommend?---

Yes definitely - this is a good unisex product - and a little goes a long way so it should last a while.

---Star Rating---

4 stars - good product but a bit expensive for every day use.
