... coconut, as well as a couple of slightly odd ones called chocomania and olive which I decided to steer clear of! I chose the satsuma one which is a nice, bright, clear orange colour, as you would expect. It may sound strange to say but I really like the shape of this soap! It is curved in a way that is nice and comfortable to hold. It is really easy to turn over in your hands and it feels really nice and smooth when doing so (none of this exfoliating nonsense full off seeds and pebbles and goodness knows what els...more

The Body Shop Satsuma Soap: I'm dreaming of a Christmas Fruit. (690 words)

I haven't shopped at the Body Shop since they were bought over by L'Oreal, however, this soap is one of my firm favourites :)! It smells so like a satsuma that you'd be forgiven for biting into it! All of the Body Shop soaps have the almost over powering odour about them but with a sickly sweet edge to counteract the all out over powering smell that can come from the cheaper soaps. At around £2 a bar for this soap it is certainly not on the cheaper side of the soap market. This soap contains 'real satsuma oil' in the soap. A satsuma is a small fruit that is often found in Christmas stockings, placed in there by well meaning parents who want to counteract the ...  Read the complete review

not-quite-Satsuma soap (397 words)

I rarely shop at the body shop myself (apart from for gifts) as I find it generally quite overpriced and prefer to shop at Boots, or sometimes Lush. I also don't often use soap, so I won't be able to compare with many other brands in this review. I tend to use shower gels and liquid soaps, but received this as part of a gift set. Not wanting to waste things, I thought I'd give it a go.... The product commes packages in flimsy slightly harder than clingfilm type wrapping, with a sticker on the front to remind you what it is. The soap itself is a pretty shade of orange. Overall the soap looks decent, and there's not much more to get excited ...  Read the complete review

The Body Shop Satsuma Soap: I'm in a fruity mood talking about this! (468 words)

When it comes to buying soap, well its not something I very often buy unless it's the original Dove Body Bar. I mean I usually buy body washes and shower gels to use in the bath or shower and I hate putting soaps anywhere near my sink etc because of the mess and scum that they create and will opt to buy liquid soap instead. However my flatmate/best mate likes to shop in The Body Shop and its not really a shop I am personally a huge fan off if I'm honest and prefer to spend similar amounts of dosh on the Soap & Glory range or in Lush. However as she usually takes ages to purchase products from there I always end up browsing and noticed this Satsuma bar of ...  Read the complete review

Who had The Body Shop fruit soaps as a kid? (290 words)

I remember when I was younger visiting The Body Shop and finding the whole experience very exciting. I remember having the special fruit soaps as a treat don't know if anyone else had these as a child but they were basically shiny soaps which were in the shape of whatever fruit they smelt like it was all very exciting. Well these soaps to me are the adult version of those soaps I loved as a child. the difference being they are bigger and 'soap' shaped lol but they still smell great which is the main thing. I like the fruit smell of these in this case it smells of satsuma very fruity. The soap is a glycerine soap so it appears to be shiny and is a pretty colour ...  Read the complete review

The Body Shop Satsuma Soap: Get fruity in the bath or shower! (679 words)

I'm a great lover of beautifully fragranced products and a firm favourite of mine is Body Shop Satsuma range where I have previously reviewed a number of the gorgeous toiletries, such as the body polish, shower gel and body butter. Whilst it is very rare that I will use any other bar of soap other than Imperial Leather, I absolutely adore the satsuma soap, which is orange and contained within a 100g oval shaped bar. As my bar is at least one month old it is impossible for me to give you its' original size, but what I favour with this is its' stunning aroma, which mirrors the other products contained within the range. However, I would state that the fragrance ...  Read the complete review
