*The Product*

I purchased the 250ml bottle of The Body Shop Strawberry shower gel online. The product is unlike other supermarket brands as it is actually soap free. It also contains real Strawberry seed oil which that alone contains Vitamin C, antioxidants, phytonutrients and a variety of natural acids that helps the body dispel toxins.
I know a lot of people think The Body Shop's products are overpriced but if you think how much it would cost for the strawberry oil alone you would be talking a hefty price.

*The Packaging*

The shower gel comes in a clear plastic bottle clearly showing the luscious red gel inside. The bottle contains details of ingredients as well as an image of strawberries on the front. The lid is made of plastic and has a pop top so you can pop it up and squeeze the wash out, little hands will find it difficult thankfully to pop up the lid and squeeze out all of the product while making 'medicine' (don't ask)

*Recommended Use *

The product says to lather up in the bath or shower using your hands or a bath lily. Once you're fully washed rinse thoroughly.

*My Opinion*

The Body Shop shower gels and perfumes are iconic in my family. We have always purchased our 'smellies' from this company and I remember when I was young being delighted that Santa had brought me The White Musk perfume. As soon as The Body Shop introduced the strawberry range I was hooked. I love the smell of strawberry product and have found in the past that cheaper brand can smell very fake or cloying in comparison. The fragrance of these products reminds me of a freshly picked strawberry right in the middle of summer with a little sprinkling of sugar on top. The sugar helps balance the tartness of the strawberries

We tend to purchase mainly over the internet on the companies website, at times they have sales and offers on which are really good and allow us to stock up. Delivery is normally a few days but you can pay more to get your products delivered the next day.

I have used the product in a range of ways from natural sponges to fake cheap sponges, face cloths to The Body Shop bath lilies (the little scrumpled bits of netting that look like a fuzzy ball) I have found that the bath lilies and natural sponges give the best lathers.

The product itself you only have to use a tiny amount, I'm guessing around a ten pence piece sized dollop to give a really bubbly lather. The fragrance really hits you as soon as you pop up the lid and it lasts on the body for quite a while as well as leaving your bathroom smelling delicious all night.

Now that we have children we too have an 'iconic' Body Shop product within our family. I'm guessing that our sons will remember this product even when they too are grown up.

I would recommend this product to everyone who loves 'real' strawberry scents, to those with dry skin or children with sensitive skins as well as to those (hubbies included) who like to use one product to give themselves a top to toe wash, hair included.
