      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      a great product just a shame it's being discontinued

      I love Sanctuary stuff but hadn't noticed their Bidadari selection before (I must have been blind!) so, when I went to Boots and noticed this collection I picked up both the soufflé and the body wash. I was attracted to the slight sparkle that it had too. Anything that has glitter or sparkle I will automatically like!

      Packaging
      ~~~~~~~
      This comes in a fairly slim, tall clear plastic bottle through which you can see the product inside. The body wash itself is a very pearlescent gold with a slight shimmer effect to it. The lid is that where you push one side down and the other side flips up, this is covered by a slightly translucent white lid.
      The label on the front has the Sanctuary name and logo. Below this there is a picture of what I assume is supposed to be an Indonesian god. The bottom third of the label tells me that the bottle contains 250ml. Even the label looks very professional and expensive as it is coloured black with gold writing.
      The back of the label tells me that the product is based on an Indonesian cleansing ritual and that it is scented with Jasmine and Ylang Ylang. It is designed to recreate the "golden-skinned effect of Bidadari women". There are also directions and ingredients and a symbol that tells me that the bottle is recyclable.
      The product has a shelf life of 12 months but I think it will last somewhere between 7 and 9 months when used every day.
      My Opinion
      ~~~~~~~~

      As with all Sanctuary products I loved this one. The smell isn't immediately obvious when you flip the lid but hits you as soon as you squeeze some out of the bottle. Squeezing, by the way, is easy and so shouldn't be a problem. The smell of Jasmine is the first scent that hits you with the Ylang Ylang following quickly behind producing a smell that I can only describe as very Oriental.

      One small squeeze will release an amount about the size of a two pence piece. I use this with a wet shower puff and find that that size amount will be enough to do my whole body so one bottle will last a very long time.

      The wash lathers well going from a golden, pearlescent wash to a white lather that feels very creamy and moisturising for my skin. When rubbing this wash onto my skin there are tiny sparkly parts that rub off onto my skin. I was however quite disappointed by the fact that these washed off with the lather but despite this it is nice to have that little bit of extra luxury when bathing. Washing off is easy, the lather runs straight off my skin when it comes in contact with water but leaves my skin feeling smooth.

      After getting out the bath my skin felt soft and moisturised. Although I did still need moisturiser I found that I didn't need as much as I usually do and those parts of my skin that aren't usually dry I was able to skip moisturising completely. I've found with some washes that although my skin feels moisturised initially this quickly wears off and it dries my skin out. This wasn't the case with this; the moisturised feel lasted until the following morning.

      The scent also lingers on my skin and although not too strong is certainly noticeable and wasn't overpowered by my moisturiser, instead the two blended nicely. I have tried his with both the moisturiser from this range and the rose and pistachio. Both went well - although both products are from the Sanctuary they smell completely different and so I can't see the scent clashing with the moisturiser or perfume you currently use.

      Although I disagree with the claim that this will help you achieve the "golden-skinned look of Bidadari spirit women" it certainly didn't do my skin any harm and although the price seems fairly high one bottle does last a very long time and this has to be one of the better washes available and so I would highly recommend it.

      Ingredients
      ~~~~~~~~
      Aqua, Sodium laureth sulfate, Ammonium lauryl sulfate, Propylene glycol, Acrylates copolymer, Parfum, Cocamidopropyl betaine, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium chloride, Sodium hydroxide, Tetrasodium EDTA, Glycol distearate, Glycerin, Laureth-4, Styrene/acrylates copolymer, Butylene glycol, Jasminum officinale flower extract, Sodium benzoate, Morus alba root extract, Magnesium nitrate, Magnesium chloride, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Polysorbate 20, Sorbitol, Methylisothiazolinone, Citric acid, Hydrolyzed pearl, Ethylhexylglycerin, Cananga odorata flower oil, Dehydroacetic acid, Benzoic acid, Mica, Titanium dioxide, Iron oxides.
      As you can see it contains SLS so probably one to avoid if you're sensitive to this.
      Price And Availability
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      Although I bought mine from Boots this doesn't seem to be available there any more but a 250ml bottle can be bought directly from the Sanctuary for £6.63. They currently have a 3 for 2 offer on this product too.

      However on checking The Sanctuary's site it appears that this is one of the ranges that is being discontinued so if you're interested in this product I'd pick it up quickly!
