The Sanctuary Foaming Bath Soak
Advantages: Smells lovely, good amount of bubbles, thick texture
Disadvantages: A little bit expensive for bubble bath
We have had a lot of stress in my house lately as we are currently redecorating the shower room and also out bedroom. Couple that with trying to look after a ten month old baby and you certainly need to take time out to relax!
About The Foaming Bath Soak
This product is meant to: 'relax and indulge your body with Wheat Protein, Aloe Vera and Patchouli Oil to unwind, moisturise and condition your skin'.
This Bath Soak comes in a see through plastic bottle which is useful as you can always see how much you have left. The lid is orange and is a 'push up/push down' style lid meaning that this is a great product to take on holiday as it not likely to leak. This Bath Soak comes in 250ml bottles.
On the front of the bottle is The Sanctuary logo and the product name.
A 250ml bottle will set you back £4.50 which is fairly expensive for effectively a bubble bath but most Sanctuary products are a little expensive. Boots often do special offers on their Sanctuary range so I always stock up when they have them!
You can buy The Sanctuary products either direct from The Sanctuary website or from Boots stores. These are the only two places you can buy Sanctuary products.
Look and Smell
The bubble bath is a pale orange colour and looks quite silky, similar to the texture of conditioner. The liquid is quite thick which I liked because it means that when you go to use the product, it doesn't all come gushing out at once!
All of the Sanctuary products have a very distinctive smell and this is no exception. This product smells quite light and fruity but also has a spicy undertone to it.
Using The Bath Soak
I have found that you don't really need to use that much of the bath soak to get decent results. You only need a small amount of the soak to create lots of bubbles. I was impressed with how little of the product I had to use to get a bath full of bubbles. The bath soak is fairly strong but not unpleasantly so and it makes the whole bathroom smell lovely!
This bath soak is not at all greasy like the Sanctuary Bath Relaxer is.
After using this product, my skin did feel much softer and smoother. I am unable to really tell whether this product relaxed me because I tend to relax 100% when I am in the bath anyway! I was impressed that this product did not leave my skin dry like some soaks do. The smell of the product lingered on my skin for a good few hours after my bath which was nice.
Although this is expensive for a bubble bath, a little goes a long way meaning that the product will last longer. The smell is lovely and just adds to your relaxation experience. I have sensitive skin but had no problems or irritations with this product. I tend to prefer this product over the Bath Relaxer which is also from the Sanctuary range because it is a nice and creamy soak and not at all greasy so cleaning out the bath afterwards is easy.
I would definitely recommend this product to others who like the Sanctuary Range.
