“ Brand: Treacle Moon / Type: Body Scrub / Suitable for: Body / What it does: Exfoliates, „
My sister bought this and having eyed it for several days in the bathroom I decided to give it a go and use it! ~~~PACKAGING~~~ The body scrub is kept in a plastic tube, which is soft and easy to squeeze. It is transparent and you can see the brightly coloured body scrub through it. The text is written on the tube which is in a very zavvy font and contains very flowery language about the scrub, which isn't at all useful! ~~~APPEARANCE, SCENT, TEXTURE~~~ In an opaque lemon yellow paste with micro beads, the body scrub is thick and creamy. There are lots of micro beads in the scrub, but it has little or no scent. There is a vague lemon smell, although it could just be a weird fragrance- I really couldn't tell. Due to the large amount of micro beads, the body scrub is feels rough. ~~~USING THE PRODUCT~~~ I use this product 2-3 times a week and massage into the skin in circular motions. I use about two pea sized blobs each time, and it feels quite rough to the skin like sand paper, but after washing off with water, the skin feels really soft and clean. I have noticed softer skin and it is good at removing dirt and generally giving your body a good abrasive clean. ~~~PRICE~~~ The body scrub can be purchased for around £2 at most supermarkets and pharmacies such as Superdrug and Boots. ~~~OVERALL~~~ I have never used a body scrub before and this is the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed using this product and it gave great results. My skin felt much softer and smoother. I will definitely use it in the future, and would recommend this product to those who already use a body scrub as well as those who don't. For around £2, this is well worth it.
I got this as a treat for myself when I was ordering my Tesco shopping online. The packaging is quite classy and it definitely looks more expensive than it is. You get a big tube of the lemon body scrub and it has a little verse on the front which cheers me up when I read it in the shower. You only need a very small amount of the scrub so the one bottle I bought has lasted me ages. It has a really intense and natural lemony smell and works really well as a scrub, it is not painful but very invigorating and when I use it in the morning it feels like a really good wake up call for my skin. Overall I think it is an excellent product especially considering the price and I think quite a few people will be getting them for Christmas, including myself - I can't wait to try the other 'flavours'.
A couple of weeks ago my boss gave each of us a Treacle Moon shower gel as a little present. My shower gel was 'Those Lemonade Days' by Treacle Moon, something I always wanted to try. I love yellow, limoncello and in general everything with lemon - so there is really no better shower gel for me. I absolutely loved the look and the smell and within days I was back at Tesco's and bought the lemonade hand wash and the body scrub for 2 pound each as they are on offer. The yellow tube looks great on my bathroom shelf and I think that I found my new favourite body care range - let's hope they bring out a body lotion as well. The body scrub comes in a big tube and you can see the lovely yellow colour of the gel but unfortunately it is not as intense as the colour of the shower gel which looks exactly like Italian limoncello - a liquor made from Sicilian lemon; the scrub is more light yellow - which reminds me of lemon curd - with tiny black dots in it. The smell is really the best, a lovely smell of lemon with a light sweetness similar to the smell of a good quality lemon curd. With this look and this smell it's no wonder that the label tells us "Please don't eat this product ... it's for your skin only" You don't need much of the body scrub, a blob the size of a 50p coin should be enough, and rub over your arms, shoulders and chest area. The texture is lovely, very creamy and not too runny. The 'scrubbiness' is perfect, not so hard that it hurts and not barely there that you don't feel it, it's just perfectly in the middle. The gel definitely makes my skin very soft and there was never any burning or rush to feel. I also use it as a face scrub, it's not advertised for that but it's definitely a great peeling for your face. I am absolutely convinced by 'those lemonade days', not only does it make my skin very soft, has a lovely refreshing smell and is not too expensive but it also wasn't tested on animals! Treacle Moon products look just so great on the shelf that every time I'm doing my shopping I'm finding myself in front of it wanting to buy everything - literally everything in every colour and with every fragrance. The body scrub is with 2.99 per 225ml tube the most expensive item they offer in their range but it is well worth the price. If you are quick you can get the Treacle Moon products for 2 Pound at Tesco's at the moment; the offer is valid until the middle of September and covers all TM products. 2 pound for 225ml of body scrub is a great price given that the scrub lasts for ages. It just looks really good in the bathroom and the smell is simply great! Worth the price and absolutely recommendable! For me it's 09 out of 10!
