As a bath foam, I find this Wilko Fruity Berry lasted for ages as only a very small squeeze was required to administer a generous drop of this product in the bath. My boys were particularly impressed by the immediate effect of adding this, as it turned the water a very vivid and dramatic blood red! It really does look like the scene of a murder or a tragic incident once this is added. Needless to say, my macabre children were much amused!
Fortunately this stuff does disperse easily with a gentle swish if the bath water. I was most impressed with just how many bubbles a tiny drop of this stuff created. This clearly does contain a lot of foaming agents as the resulting bubbles are soft, white and fluffy. More importantly, they take ages to disappear so allow for a lengthy relaxing soak in a warm bath - unless one of the kids tries to hijack the moment!
My favourite aspect of this product was the smell which is a really cheery potent fruity fragrance, that filled the whole bathroom and lingered discreetly on my skin after washing. The bottle does claim to include natural fruit extracts, including cranberries and raspberries which might explain why the scent is so vibrant and uplifting.
I do have a tendency towards dry sensitive skin so can be a bit wary about using some of the cheaper brand products in case they cause any skin irritation. Fortunately, I experienced no adverse effects as a consequence of using this product on an occasional basis. Likewise my boys' skin was not irritated at all by this foam bath, despite being more generous with the application than I was.
This stuff does not claim to be anything other than a foam bath and makes no promises about moisturising skin or otherwise. Despite this I did not find my skin to be any dryer than usual, although I would always apply a moisturiser after bathing anyway.
As a Wilkinson branded product this is exclusive to Wilkinson stores. I couldn't find this listed on the Wilko website so availability might be an issue. This only costs £1 for a 500ml bottle but be aware that the bottle design is now different to that shown here.
I am a huge lover of bubble bath. I have a bath once a week, every Saturday and I will not have one unless I have bubble bath. A few months ago I experimented with fruity scented bubble bath and I came across this one from Wilkinson. It was the sweet scent of strawberry's that really lured me into this product. The product comes in a see through bottle so you can see the pink liquid inside and a black flip up lid where you can easily squirt the product out.
When I first used this product I used a little bit and I was instantly hit by the fruity scent of strawberries. It also turned the bath water slightly pink and the bubbles were lovely. There were also a lot of bubbles. I found the product easy to use but the hole in the cap is that small only a find line of the product comes out and it can take a few moments longer than usual if you are usually generous with bubble bath. I really enjoyed sitting in the bath with the smell of this product, but others in the household complained that they did not and that it had stank the whole house out. Afterwards, I put the shower curtains back up and the next morning the bottom of the bath curtain had turned pink from where they had been lying on the inner side of the bath. This is the only downfall for me, but for others the scent might be.
The retail price of this product is £1.00 in Wilkinson and only in Wilkinson as it is of Wilko brand.
I would recommend this product, but mainly to the younger people. It is lovely in a nice warm, not hot, bath. However, make sure you do not leave materials hanging around whilst running the bath.
I do love my fruity bath products. Whenever I go down the bath aisles in shops I can't help but stop and smell the products and I usually end up buying one or two. I bought this one from Wilkinson's a while ago.
It comes in a round, medium height bottle and I think it actually looks quite nice really, it's see-through so you can see the bath foam inside which is a really rich purple colour so looks lovely on display on the bathroom window sill with the light shining through it!
The bath foam smells of berries, it reminds me of a summery day all nice and fruity and natural smelling. Sometimes fruity bath products can seem a little too sweet and false but this one smells natural and it makes my mouth water.
I have found that you have to add quite a bit and give it a good splash around with your hand to make decent bubbles. It does bubble up but it does need this bit of encouragement if you want it to make decent ones but then I guess it is called a foam and not bubble bath.
The bubbles don't last all that long but the water feels nice and soft and i'm sure it's more relaxing. the smell of berries floats into the air too which is nice to bathe with that smell around.
I do like this and will be buying it again.
Since moving into my own home last year I have been a lot more savvy in these last couple of months in looking for great little bargains and I love trying out new products as well as going back to my usual favourites. Last week I happened to pop into Wilkinsons (which is a rare occurance) to pick up some storage boxes for under my bed - whilst in there I happened to notice a few great looking bath and shower products (which I was running low on) for really good low prices. I did a mix and match and picked up two shower products and two bath products. One of the bath products was this Fruit Berry Foam Bath.
So, the bath bottles from Wilkinsons come in one size - 500ml - which is the same amount of product you get from Radox but the shape of the bottle is completely different. Radox bottles are tall and thin - whereas these are a lot shorter and thicker to hold the product. The bottle shape suits me better in honesty as I have issues with Radox bottles falling over and causing a mess when there is little product left - whereas these because of the way they are proportioned sit better. Rather than a screwtop that you see on other bubble baths this has a pop open lid which is black in colour - and when opened shows a small opening to squeeze the product out. The bottle and bottle top are made completely out of plastic - which is great considering you need to squeeze the product out. The bottle is completely transparant and has a pink and red label on the front which gives you the product name and description which is :
"You can lie back in a warm bath, spicy and scented with natural fruit extracts of cranberry, raspberry and strawberry"
There is then an image on the front sticker showing the above fruits to represent the scent which is in this.
Information given on the back label advises you this product acts as a moisturiser and will cleanse your skin. One thing I loved was the use within 24 months image - which is a great thing for a cheap brand like Wilko, and is very handy for those who don't have bubblebaths as often as showers! Further information given includes the usual health warnings, directions for use and ingredients.
Like many other shop brands its nice to know that Wilko's offer a 28 day money back guarentee like Tesco - where if you are not completely satisfied with what you have bought you can bring it back along with the receipt. This gives you added confidence that the product will work in your favour - information on the Wilko Promise is found on the back label.
At first glance the bubblebath mixture inside looks very creamy and a luminous attractive red in colour - which would appeal to kids as well as adults! When pouring it into your bath you notice the liquid is acually much thinner than the likes of Radox which is very thick in texture. However don't let this put you off - you literally don't need a lot per bath and when mixing this into the water with your hand creates hundreds of bubbles! I was very surprised in the volume of bubbles from such a cheap bath product.
At first sniff, it does have a very nice light fruity scent to it which matchs what the product is advertising and for some reason reminds me of sweets! Its a great scent for anyone who loves to use fruity bath products. On pouring this into your bath, it turns the water a slightly off pink colour which fades the longer the bath water is held for. The scent is still dominent but as you can expect does die down when diluated from the original smell from sniffing the bottle originally!
In my opinion it definetely does cleanse and seems to moisturise my skin for a short time after the bath in the sense that my skin does feel softer but I would say this effect maybe lasts only an hour or two (I have a normal skin type). Another great point for me was how I could smell the product on myself for a good few hours after I got out my bath which really pleased me as I have had issues with supermarket branded products in the past which didn't even satisfy me.
Usually I would choose Radox over any other bath product as the brand tends to help me relax a lot more, but with this Wilko's product it does actually relax you, although not on the same level as Radox - and you do find yourself sinking into the bath to enjoy the experiance.
My 6 year old daughter also loves a bubblebath - most nights! - and lately she has been opting to use my Wilko's bubblebath over her usual childrens product. Like myself, her skin smells gorgeous when she comes out and doesn't dry out or cause irritation to her skin which is great... and as a child you can imagine she is over the moon with how many bubbles this can give!
In terms of how much use you get out of a bottle I have had maybe 5 or 6 baths so far and still have over 2 thirds of a bottle left which represents great value for money.
Overall I really recommend these bath products from Wilko's - I really like them and will be buying again in future and looking forward to them possibly bringing out new products in the future!
At present you can mix and match 2 bath or shower products (including shower smoothies and shower creams) for £1.50 - the sizes of the products depend on which products you opt for and you do get more mixture in the bubblebath range.
I often have a browse in my local Wilkinsons store and have noticed that in recent months they have (or have revamped) their own toiletries which is a brightly coloured range of shower gels, shampoos and conditioners and the likes usually on offer at any 2 bottles of something for £1.50. Me thinking it was probably cheap and nasty stuff at that price had avoided it till reading many positive reviews on here about the range and I had ran out of foam bath and decided to take a punt on this.
This comes in a clear and see-through plastic bottle with a black shiny flip top lid to the top of it concealing a small hole and then around the main part of the bottle the label is a lovely rich berry colour and on that there is a picture shown of some red berry fruits and we are told that it is Wilko Fruity Berry Foam Bath and that 'You can lie back in a warm bath, spicy and scented with natural fruit extracts of cranberry, raspberry and strawberry' and then on the back of the label other information listed includes being told a little bit more about the product, how to use it, the ingredients and size is stated (which is 500ml), we are told once opened to use it up within 24 months and contact details for Wilkinsons are given. nice enough packaging this is!
The Bath Foam Itself:
This is a deep red coloured gel with a lovely and natural fruity scent mainly of summery strawberries to it to me with just a hint of other berry fruits, but for me this is simply a strawberry scented product to my nasal passages and rather sweet but I have to admit I really do like this one!
The liquid is a thinish gel and to use it of course you simply need a blob in the bath and then to fill your tub up with water. It releases a lovely scent and gives a nice rich white foam and to sit in this relaxes me and relaxes my senses too.
When I dry myself off my skin is left normal really.....not overly moisturised but certainly not dried out either and I'm left feeling clean (I do wash in the bath as well of course!) and the scent lingers on my skin very gently for a good few hours too.
All In All:
At 75p a bottle (at the moment!) this offers exceptional value for money considering the size of it and how little you need per bath. It contains natural fruit extracts, smells wonderful and if you like your fruity products this is really, really worth a go!
Only available from Wilkinson stores.

After a 12 or 13 hour shift at work, the first thing I want to do when I get home is have a deep, hot bubble bath. On a recent trip to Wilkos, I found their own range of bath and shower products and they were on offer. I know my flatmate uses some of this range herself so I thought I would pick up a couple of different products to see what they were like.
This review is for Wilko Fruity Berry Foam Bath. This bubble bath comes in a clear plastic bottle which has a bright and colourful label on it. The colour inside the bottle is what really made me buy it though as it looked so nice and fruity. The label is a bright pink colour which matches the inside of the bottle. On the label is the product name, the words Fruity in large lettering, a description of what the product does and a picture of the fruits used. While the packaging isn't amazing, it is really nice considering the price and it doesn't look like a super cheap product. The bottle holds 500ml of bubble bath.
Upon opening the screw top lid, the fruity smell hits you immediately. The label on the front says 'lie back in a warm bath, spicy and scented with natural fruit extracts of cranberry, raspberry and strawberry'. From this, you can see exactly which fruits have been used and you can smell them well as you open the bottle. The bubble bath smells sweet and strong and the same time, having a bit of a kick to it as well.
To use, slowly pour the bubble bath under hot running water and watch the bubbles as they form in the water. The bubble bath quickly foams up once it hits the water and I was really pleased with how many bubbles there was. The smell actually changes slightly once you add this to the water. As I have the bathroom door closed, the whole room began to smell very sweet but not sickly. The different fruity smells come out a lot better once the product is in the water. The cranberry is the one that takes a little longer than the others to come through but after letting the product sit in the water for a little while, it definitely does.
I really like this bubble bath as it smells fabulous and the bubbles last until the very end of my bath, even if I am in there for an hour. The price is also great. This is priced at £1 but Wilkos have the whole range on offer for 2 for £1.50 at the minute which is why I bought quite a few different things. I can't wait to try my other products now!
For Christmas I got lots of toiletries, especially bubble baths and bath bombs/bubble bars, and even now it's May I'm still working my way through them all. This Fruity Berry Foam Bath was given to me by my sister and is one of my favourites, which is why I decided to review it.
This bubble bath is made by none other than Wilkinson's stores and is part of a range which also includes shower gels, hand sanitizers and hand washes. As far as I can tell, aside from the Fruity Berry scent, there are also Fruity Citrus and Fruity Blackcurrant scented products available.
The bubble bath comes in chunky 500ml bottle with a black flip top lid. The bottle is clear so you can see how much you have remaining and the label is predominantly reds and pinks with a berry picture on the front. I think the packaging is OK for what it is - fair enough it doesn't look premium, but I don't think there is anything about it which screams budget either.
The scent of the product is delicious and one of the reasons I like this product so much. The description on the bottle is as follows: 'lie back in a warm bath, spicy and scented with natural fruit extracts of cranberry, raspberry and strawberry.' My first thought when I read that was that I'm not sure where the 'spicy' bit came from as I can't detect any spice in it at all! What I get when I smell this is just a lovely juicy berry aroma. I think the raspberry is the most dominant of the berry fragrances, as there is a sharpness to the aroma when you first smell it. The strawberry however gives it a much sweeter edge. I can only actually smell cranberry in this when it's in the water, as it seems to take a little longer to develop and come out. Overall, I think it smells a bit like a mixed fruit drink, but it's very pleasant and summery and a scent I really like using.
To use, you pour under running water as you would with any other product of this sort and I find it is best not to overdo it, as only a relatively small amount is required per use, making this a really economical product. The bubble bath foams up straight away and produces lots of thick, frothy bubbles.
I find that both the scent and the bubbles are long lasting with this product. In fact, in terms of the scent it just goes on and on and I can always smell it for hours after I've had a bath. It seems to travel too, as the whole landing upstairs smells fruity after using this - it's almost like getting a free air freshener! The bubbles always last until the end of my bath, usually even if I have used other soap products, so good all round.
I suppose the one downside is that this product does not have much of a positive impact on my skin, although I'm guessing for the price I would not really expect it to. It isn't drying at all though (which is great as I have dry skin anyway), it doesn't irritate my eczema and it does leave a soft fragrance on my skin for a little while after use.
A 500ml bottle of this product retails at just £1.00 and even better this range is currently on offer at 2 for £1.50. Being Wilkinson's own brand it can only be purchased from their stores or online at www.wilkinsonplus.com
Overall I have been very pleased with this product and it is definitely a product I would use again. It smells lovely and is a bargain price and I will be looking to try some of the other products in this line soon.
