      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Not for me, its far too rich!

I only have a bath in my flat which leaves me either using shower gel/cream in the bath or a bar of soap. I was so happy the other day to see this Yardley 'Bath Bar'in my local Poundland store and after sniffing the soap through the box I invested in this one as I generally, as a rule love this brand.

      The Packaging:

The box this comes in is a cream colour with a picture of oatmeal and almonds on the front of it and we are told that it is 'Naturally Moisturizing Bath Bar, Yardley London 'Est'd 1770' and that it is Oatmeal & Almond 'With natural oatmeal to soothe dry skin' and that it naturally exfoliates and is 120g in size. Other information on the box includes being told a little bit about the product, ingredients are listed, (this is paraben free and sodium sulfate free as well as not being tested on animals by the way) and contact details for Yardley are stated. The soap of this one is a cream colour with Yardley engraved into the top of it. This is nicely and old fashioned packaged and in my mind would make a nice small gift for someone.

      The Soap Itself:

Well it's a creamy colour and a rather large oblong in shape but rounded to the edges. It has a slight curve to the underneath of it for ease of handling and you can see some darker, beigy specs of rough oatmeal poking through.

This lathers on the skin brilliantly, in the most part it is a smooth feeling soap and the oatmeal very gently buffers the skin up but like I say very gently and it really isn't too abrasive at all. The fragrance of this is simply wonderful and rather feminine with a soft sort of sweet but natural undertone to it of vanilla and the almond giving a creamy sort of smell to it. I can shave my bits and pieces with this, it rinses off my skin easily and leaves me with soft, supple and beautifully fragranced skin for a good few hours however.....

After using this I couldn't stop itching! I couldn't work out why though and had to think about all the products I had used that day and nothing had changed till I thought about this. I scratched myself raw till I got back in the bath and had another with my usual Dove soap which cured the problem!

I loved this soap in use and the fragrance was great and my skin so soft and clean and I smelt wonderful but all I can think is that this particular soap was too rich for me sadly and for all I liked about it I had to part with it and fling it in the bin after just one use of it!

      Didn't suit me sadly!

Available widely online if you Google it for about £4.00 a bar or £1.00 in discount stores such as Poundland.
