I bought this for my fiance last year for Christmas, both him and my son have their hair short and although we do have other hair trimmers, we are forever losing the blades. Once we have found the blades we have forgotten to charge the trimmer, so normally there is needless waiting involved along with the odd row over who was the last person to see the blades etc etc.

I saw this and thought the idea of a quick 10 minute rub over the head to keep the hair at the desired length was a great idea and well worth the purchase price! Oh how wrong I was, after expectantly waiting for them to charge, I took it in hand and moved towards the head of my fiance.

I attached the number 4 plastic round guard and turned it on, I started to gently roll it over the hair, only to discover that very little was really happening. It doesnt touch the hair near the ears or edges, so the other trimmer is essential for these areas. However it doesnt really cut the hair either, cutting is definaltly not the right word. After trying for a further 20 mins to get some kind of hair cut we decided that maybe my sons hair would be better as it was shorter. He sat expectantly as I rolled it over his shorter hair, only to greeted with the same lack of haircut.

There was a small amount of little tuffs laying on the hair once you lift it up but nothing like I was expecting. It does pull the hair as well I was delightfully informed, I gave my fiance the trimmer to see if it was my female lack of cutting hair knowledge that was the reason for the bad haircut but he also failed too.

The beard trimmer is excellant and works no problems at all. The style of the hair trimmer is great, it looks the part its just a great shame its performance doesnt live up to the hype.
