      Useful gadget

I have messed about with stubble, beards and goatees, then finally back to stubble again. Unless it is November then I clean shave and begin to grow a Moustache! I have to dress professional for work and although it is acceptable to have stubble, it is supposed to be at least 2 days grown and it has to be neat and tidy.

My mum bought this new beast for my birthday after I moaned about needing something of this description. Luckily, this really fits the bill. I have used it for the past 2 months and it has made life much easier and it ensures that my stubble is always the same length, never too unruly and it also stops me shaving bits too close and ruining the look. You can go from the lowest setting of 0.4 which gives a slight stubble look and then you can also use it on the highest setting which is for fuller beards. The beauty of it, is that there are 24 length settings that all measured in MM so you can decided how long you want it.

This means that once you find the length you like, you can keep it on it and then you can maintain your preferred facial hair style all the time. If you like a shadow, stubble or beard or any 24 sizes in between this thing will sort you right out! To change the length, there is a little dial that gives changes of 0.4mm. The handle is easy to maneuver and there is a floating head that moves with the curves and bumps of your jaw line. This means it is not accurate but it is not likely to cut you. The machine is really easy to use, it feels comfortable to hold and it is quick to use.

This can be recharged or used with the cord but it comes with the razor fitting so it is two prongs and not three. The battery lasts for a long time though so you can charge it at the beginning of the week and it will last you a long time. The machine never seems to falter and the blades are very sharp, this helps make the shave more comfrotable.

      Features:
      * tracks the curves of your face for exceptional accuracy and comfort
      * Dial wheel length control from a 0.4mm shadow with precise adjustments for ultimate accuracy
      * Advanced power performance with long-lasting dual battery system for reliable and fast stubble shaving
      * Advanced blade technology with electro-chemically sharpened blades for extreme sharpness and durability
      * Protective comb guide delivers ultimate length consistency, removable for easy cleaning
      * Shaver-style power lead for convenient rechargeable or corded use in the bathroom
      * Ergonomic design with curved body for easy control and complete comfort in use
      * 3 Year Guarantee

I have not come across anything like this before and since owning it, I have been so impressed with how quick it is and how easy it is. I tend to find my face quite sensitive which is one of the reasons why I like stubble and beards in the first place as it means I can shave less but this really is a breeze and it feels fine. The machine is quick and the finished look is always the same. I am pleased with it and you can go and buy your own for £40 from places like Asda, Sainsbury and Boots.

Babyliss I-Trim Stubble+, perfect for all your stubble needs.

I've never been in to wet shaving as it tends to leave me with an unsightly rash and is generally a bit of a pain. Because of this I have had quite a few electric shavers/trimmers over the years, most of which have been on the cheaper side. When the last one I had broke, as they tend to do, I decided to invest in something more reliable.

I purchased the Babyliss I-Trim Stubble+ from Amazon a few months ago for £31.84. The RRP is around £50.00, so I was pleased with the offer. The trimmer comes with a comb and small bottle of oil to lubricate the blades if need be. There is also a foil shaver attachment for a closer shave. I have used this a couple of times and it does indeed give a very close shave, a little too close for me.

The design of the shaver is pretty cool. It's silver and black and comes with a triangular shaped base in which the main shaver can be placed for charging. There are two buttons on the main body, an on/off switch and a button to adjust the cutting length of the blades. There is also an LCD screen which displays the cutting length in mm and the battery level.

It can be used both cordless and plugged in, the battery life is very good.

In terms of performance the I-trim is great. It is very smooth and doesn't snag. The fact that you can adjust the cutting length means that your stubble can be as long or short as you'd like. There are 30 length settings, ranging from the 0.5 - 15mm. I have found the 0.5mm level to be ideal for me.

I have been very pleased with this trimmer, and would definitely recommend it. It's well worth the price.

Great little trimmer....shame about the battery life

Having borrowed one of these from a friend to try out, I was so impressed that I decided to invest in my own.

Personally, I hate shaving but have to keep clean shaven for my job, and see this as the best alternative with regards to keeping stubble under control.

This machine is very easy to use - there are just the 3 buttons on the unit; 1 for turning it on and off and 1 each for adjusting the head up and down, making it fuss free.

The quality of the actual cut is the best I've experience from any in this price range. I find the cut from the lowest setting with the protecting head on is not short enough, so take it off and the cut is shorter still.

The only thing which disappoints me about this unit is the battery life - I find that a full charge only last maybe 15-20 minutes, which is not what I would expect.

Overall though, this is a good little trimmer which I would happily recommend to anyone.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Quick, easy way to get good looking stubble

The iTrim Stubble+ is the latest electric facial hair trimming system from Babyliss for Men.

        Appearance:
The iTrim Stubble+ looks quite manly, it's in men's colours (i.e. grey and black which is fine for me) and it looks reasonably modern. The trimmer itself is about 12cm long and sits on a triangular base/charging station when not in use. It has a couple of exterior buttons, such as an on-off button and up/down buttons to adjust the length of the cutting blades. There's also a small LCD screen (backlit in blue) which shows the cutting length and the battery status.

        Performance:
I'd been warned against similar stubble trimmers by several people, even the previous Babyliss for Men model, but I read some online reviews and was convinced to give it a try as most people said it was a huge improvement over any they tried before. Even so, before it was delivered, I was starting to think I might have made a mistake.I must admit I'm pretty impressed with it. It's very simple to use and makes short work of my stubble, in all but those awkward parts of the neck that I defy any electric razor to deal with well. The cutting length can be adjusted from 0.5mm to 15mm in 30 increments using the buttons I mentioned above. I've only tried the 0.5mm and 1mm settings but both worked really well, giving a consistent result with no painful snags.

Depending on what I'm starting from, 5-10 minutes is all it takes to get a nice result.

        Power/Battery:
The iTrim Stubble can be used whilst plugged into the mains or off battery power. Babyliss claim a 90 minute charge will provide 30 minutes of cordless use, and a quick 5 minute charge will provide 3 minutes of use (probably enough for a quick tidy). I haven't seen anything to make me doubt those figures.

        Pack:
The pack includes the trimmer itself, the charging station and mains lead, a cleaning brush and a foil adaptor if you want to use it for a normal close have (I haven't tried that so I can't comment).

        Other:
Apparently, it's also safe for grooming unwanted body hair - even around "there" but I haven't tried that either so again, can't comment.

        Price:
I paid £45 from amazon.co.uk for this in October 2009 but it's now only £32.95 from the same shop.

        Overall:
I like this trimmer, it works well for me, no complaints at all so far and for the reduced price I think it's worth the money.
