      Okay but wouldn't purchase myself

A well meaning friend always buys my little girl a small present at Christmas but she doesn't have any children herself so on occasion wouldn't purchase things that I would purchase for her, including this Gruffal Bath Gift Set, which includes two brightly coloured bottles with a picture of the famous Gruffalo frm the Julia Donaldson book that most children have heard or are familiar with. THe first bottle is a 'abth and shower gel' and the second is 'bubble bath'. My daughter has the Gruffalo book, but it wouldn't be her favourite, however when she opened this she was still excited when she saw the Gruffalo, she wasn't as excited when she realised it was for the bath, and lost interest quickly.

I was a bit disappointed when I took the two bottles out. Firstly, I was a little apprehensive about using them as I tend to stick to fragrance free or sensitive products for my daughter, and secondly, I thought the two bottles were a little cheap looking and on the whole a bit 'gimmicky'!

The bubble bath also known as 'poisonous wart bubble bath' to resemble the language from the book, comes in a blue bottle. Despite my initial concerns my mind was eased a little when I found that this bubble bath is meant to be paraben free and have a 'mild sensitiser fragrance' that is designed for all skin types. I decided to put a little in her bath one night and thought the smell was a little on the musky side, more boyish than girlish and not really something that I liked, though my daughter didn't seem to be bothered. It is meant to have a woodland scent and I suppose that is a fair name for it. A little drop created a good amount of bubbles which was what my daughter liked. It didn't seem to have any negative effect on her skin and so my fears have been put to rest.

THe bath and shower gel are known as 'Knobbly Knees bath and shower gel' is very similar to the other bottle, only it can be used in the shower, which my daughter does not have. It acts like the bubble bath and a little of this creates enough bubbles. The fragrance is the same for this product so it isn't my favourite.

As much as this product did not have any effect on my daughters skin, I still think the product is a little gimmicky and I certainly wouldn't have bought this product had it not been given to my daughter. I would much rather put the money into proper bubble bath that moisturises the skin etc but anyhow I use this product every so often just to use it up. My daughter likes it but I still prefer the other products I use.
