I am a big fan of playing with hair, creating different styles etc, and I started on a hair course last year. Due to this course I have a large selection of brushes and combs that I need to use, and I also bought extra ones of these for my own personal use, and not to be used on clients.
I bought a set of 4 brushes, as it worked out much cheaper than buying the 4 brushes seperatly. The brushes are all round brushes, and they heat retaining. They are made by a leading name in the hairdressing world, Head Jog.
The set of the 4 brushes comes in a clear, zip up bag which has a black section just under the zip and has the Head Jog logo printed on it. The brushes themselves are black with a silver section in the middle. This is the general look of Head Jog brushes, but other colours are available if you require them.
As I said before, these 4 brushes are round brushes which are heat retaining, and this makes them perfect for blow drying hair. The largest one of the brushes is the best for a smooth straight style with curved ends and a lot of root volume. The next brush down gives the same effect on shorter or thinner hair, as well as for those with curly hair. The two smaller brushes help to create smooth, tight curls on short to mid length hair, as well as for creating very tight curls and waves in short hair styles. All the brushes can be used to create different styles, curls, waves and volumes in different lengths of hair, and if you have a play around, you can see what nice things you can do with your own ( or someone elses ) hair.
I have found these brushes to be wonderful for making my hair look great. The brushes help to smooth the hair down, and create a shiny, smooth finish that is straight, yet has some movement and life to it. They help me get just the right amount of root volume too, so that my hair is not flat, but not flowing off my head like I stepped back to the sixties!
They retain the heat very well, and this helps the hair to dry quicker, and anything that saves me time when it comes to hair and make up is very welcome! I have never found these to get tangled in my hair, and they glide through quite softly, without tearing or knotting up my hair.
The bag the brushes come in, is the perfect size for storing the brushes, and is real handy for a holiday, you just pop the bag of brushes into your suitcase or bag, and away you go. They are safe and secure, ready to unzip and use whenever you need them. They are light weight brushes, so will not give you arm ache when you use them, well at least they have not given me these problem.
You can buy this 4 brush set in hair and beauty stores like Salon Services (Sallys) or Capital Beauty, and they will usually cost around £12 - £15 in stores, but I got mine on Amazon for just under £9, which is a total bargain as these brushes can cost up to £5 each on their own, depending on size.
If you like to style your hair, or like to style other peoples hair, then these brushes are a must have for you and I recommend them to you fully. 5 out of 5 from me.
