Tweezerman Deluxe Eyelash Curler
by jade1517
I bought these eyelash curlers as they were recommended to me by a friend, and her eyelashes always look immaculate and incredibly defined so i thought where could i go wrong, hopefully mine will look that good, and they did. I am very impressed with these curlers they are great value for money.
The come in a plastic boxes and ... come with three replacement rubber pads, for when they begin to wear down. The curlers themselves are a silver coloured metal with a white coloured rubber section to cushion your eyelashes on when using them. On the back of the box they do have recommendations of how long to hold them in place for and the best way to get the best out of your eyelashes.
I have tried both using them without mascara and using them with mascara before hand and i definitely recommend using them before you apply mascara otherwise you end pulling out quite a few eyelashes; not only is it painful but it is also not a very good look.
I took the curlers out of their box brought them up close to my eyelid, i put the lashes on the white rubber and gently squeezed the handle, closing the curler. Be very careful not to get too close to your eyelid as you can get it caught in the curlers and it is very painful, so make sure there is gap in between the curlers themselves and the eyelid. Once i had closed the curlers i left them for about 10 seconds and gently pulsed them on the way up after. They are brilliant they create a very natural looking curl which lasts once you apply a coat of mascara. I would recommend apply mascara afterwards otherwise the lashes will slowly begin to drop again.
Overall i would definitely recommend these eyelash curlers as the create big lashes and are very cost effective; the only thing which will need replacing is the white rubber, but they take a while to wear down and it is fitted with one already and comes with 3 spears, much cheaper than buying lots of mascaras. Although you will need some mascara to keep them in place. I love them and cannot get enough of them. Read the complete review |

Tweezerman Stainless Steel Slant Tweezers
by alfiepeaches
I wrote a review a few months back for Boots own slanted tweezers and went off on how tweezers are all the same and not to bother with tweezerman tweezers as they were ridiculously priced when Boots own did what you wanted them to. However I recently caved and bought a pair as my Boots ones were not as sharp as they once were and weren't ... picking up all the tiny hairs I wanted them to and I can easily take back everything I said in that Boots own tweezers review.
I am obsessed with keeping my eyebrows nice and shaped and I get a lot of compliments on how good they look. Eyebrows can change the entire shape of your face so I think it's important to look after them and keep them looking neat, even if you get them done professionally and only remove the odd stray one yourself.
The pair of Tweezermans I bought were a mini pink slanted pair from boots for £12.50, the full size were £19.50 and the only reason I went for the smaller pair were because they were cheaper. The only colour options on offer were pink and purple as it was a small Boots I was in at the time but I know you can get a wide variety of patterns and colours on their website or places like ASOS.
The packaging of the tweezers is simple, a plastic mould around the tweezers attached to cardboard with the details on. The tweezers inside are kept in a small plastic tube with a soft plastic removable top. I tend to keep my tweezers with the pointed ends upright so the soft plastic of the lid cushions them a little bit. The actual tweezers are a little under 3 inches long and coats in a pink plastic that although isn't rubbery or lined is very easy to grip and do not slide whilst holding them. Tweezerman is written along the side in a black font and the ends are made of metal and slanted at a good angle to hold against your eyebrows.
You can feel with your fingers that the ends are very sharp but do not cut you. When using them to pluck my eyebrows I catch all the hairs first time and the slanted edge of the tweezers make it extremely easy to pull out even the shortest of hairs and even dig out ones that are just coming through, although sometimes this can be a bad idea as they will leave a small dot of blood from scratching the skin a bit.
I really would recommend these tweezers even if you do not really pluck your eyebrows as they could be helpful for many things such as tiny arts and crafts or I imagine they would be amazing for digging out painful splinters as they are so sharp and precise. Tweezerman say on their packaging they guarantee the tweezers stay sharp for life and if not you can send them in to be sharpened free of charge which I think is a great idea. Although they do cost a lot just for a pair of tweezers they do last a very long time as they stay so sharp and with other tweezers you often end up replacing them for £2-£3 each new pair so you will be saving money in the long run. Tweezerman Stainless Steel Slant Tweezers
by rhizzle
I own two pairs of these tweezers. One standard sized pink pair, and one mini dragonfly print pair. I ummed and ahhed for ages about getting them. I have naturally big eyebrows which need daily grooming and I was finding that the cheap tweezers I was previously using just weren't cutting it anymore. I was wasting loads of money buying ... pair after pair of cheap tweezers and never being happy with them, but could just never justify spending so much on Tweezerman despite all the good things I had heard about their tweezers. Eventually I decided to just take the plunge.
And I'm so glad that I did. That was 5 years ago now and I've never looked back. I didn't realise just how AWFUL all other tweezers were until I started to use these. They manage to pick up even the tiniest of fine hairs, and even super short hairs that have only just started poking through. They are incredible.
I know that Tweezerman have a policy where you can send them your tweezers to have them sharpened if they start to lose their precision, but in the 5 years I have had mine I've never needed to do that. They work just as good now as they did then. The only criticism I have is that the Tweezerman logo has worn off, but I'm not really too bothered by that, and the pink is still nice and vibrant so they still look good.
I recently purchased a mini set for use when travelling, and these are just as amazing as my standard sized pair. I got the dragonfly print which is just the cutest thing in the world.
Yes these tweezers are pricey, but you definitley get what you pay for in my opinion. They are amazing! Read the complete review |
