I have many obsessions in life and one of those is nail polish, I have every colour in the world including a few colours I made myself and for this reason I have tried many different brands of remover.

The reason I purchased this brand was due to running out and popped to my corner store hoping to grab a bottle and I came home with Ambray.


===== The Product =====

Ambray nail polish remover comes in a misted plastic bottle ( mine is slightly different from the picture above )
The bottle states that the remover has added conditioner and also oddly states that it has been specially formulated to remove nail polish! phew just as well I wasn't feeling thirsty.

====== How To Use =====

Like most removers the bottle has a screw top lid which is very secure and is easy to unscrew and screw back tightly, I have added this as in the past I have had ones that do not screw back securely and it's a bit of a disaster not to mention fire risk if it spills.

The remover has the strong smell that is associated with removers and this one I found particularly strong but I held my nose and perservered.

I covered the top with a cotton wool ball and tipped the bottle up to coat the ball. When I apply remover I always leave the ball on my nail for thirty seconds to allow the remover to soak the polish as this makes it easy to remove and then using gentle sweeping motions pull the ball away from the cuticle to the end of the nail.

I found that I only needed to do this once or twice and the polish came off, I was impressed with this as I always wear a base coat, 2 coats of polish and a topcoat.

After removing all polish I found that while my nails didn't feel dried out as they can with other removers they were not really conditioned, This did not concern me too much as I always rub warm olive oil on my nails after removing as this acts as a great conditioner, strengthener and is also great if your nails are prone to splitting or breaking.


====== Conclusion ======

For the price I think that this is a great polish remover and while it may not condition your nails it will not dry them out either and it will remove all traces of polish.
It is also worth noting that this remover is not suitable for acrylic nails and you must buy a remover specially made for acrylic nails as using the wrong one will weaken and spoil your acrylics.

All for the bargain price of £0.79p! I bought mine in cost cutters but it also available in other places such as chemists, supermarkets and corner stores!
