History Of The Aqua Detox Treatment
The Aqua Detox treatment dates back to the 1930s, when Royal Raymond Rife developed an "ionic foot bath," but it has more recently been technologically improved through the efforts of homeopath Mary Staggs. The theory behind the Aqua Detox treatment is that the poisons which accumulate in the body cause the cellular electrolytes to become unbalanced, so that the cells can neither neither receive nutrients nor eliminate waste products.
Combine this theory with the fact that very few people drink enough water each day to remain properly hydrated, and it's understandable why toxins can be held responsible for may of the degenerative diseases which affect millions of us today.
What To Expect
Undergoing the Aqua Detox program, according to a large number of those who have done it for themselves, is a highly pleasurable experience. You will begin your Aqua Detox treatment by having your feet soaked in lukewarm water for half and hour, after which an electricity conducting metal "array" will be used to create a bio-energetic field in the water to stimulate the release of toxins through the feet's thousands of pores.
Both children and adults can undergo the Aqua Detox treatment, which has been proven completely safe. The process simply allows both negative and positive ions (electrically charged particles) to enter the body through the feet where they create a series of vibrations, which stimulate the body's elimination system to release accumulated toxins.
Having an Aqua detox treatment may provide you with improved metabolic and cardiovascular function, while reducing your occurrences of inflammation, skin disorders, headaches, or menstrual cramping.
Safety Of The Aqua Detox treatment
While alternative medicine certainly generates its share of skeptics, it is nonetheless safe and inexpensive. Anyone desiring an Aqua Detox treatment can continue to undergo traditional medical treatments or take their prescription drugs, using Aqua Detox as a complementary health procedure. The only people for whom Aqua Detox is contraindicated are those with pacemakers, pregnant women, and epileptics.
If you like what you've read so far about aqua detox treatment, and want to investigate having one for yourself, you can feel reassured that it will not interfere with the effects of your existing medications, because your body recognizes beneficial substances and will not flush them out as toxins. Your Aqua Detox foot-spa treatment may also include Gas Discharge Visualization photography which will let you compare before-and-after images of your body's energy field. (Posted by me at other site too)
I was extremely skeptical about this process!
A dear friend of mine told me about the foot spa and without giving it a second thought I said 'no way'...a few weeks later she contacted a gentleman that lives in Apopka, Florida. He provides this service for a very reasonable rate - he also makes house calls. He was extremely knowledgeable about the product and never tried to push this on me (which I respected a great deal). Last sunday, we (my friend and I) decide to try this foot spa (just for fun)...The gentleman came (on time) with all his products and relaxing music (his service was exceptional!) .
He explained the process before we started, told me what to expect, also gave me brochures to read before he started. He was very professional (I highly recommend him!!). Well, moving into the next day - after only being able to get 6 hours of sleep Sunday night after the treatment I woke up refreshed and energized...I feel great! It's been 10 full days now and I feel great! I honestly, can say I have more energy...I have been headache free - For the past 10 days I have become a morning person - which is not like me at all... I feel great and I do believe that it is a result of the foot spa treatment that I last Sunday. My sleeping is better, it really does work! Regardless of the negative reviews...I say try it for yourself before you judge it. It can't hurt only help...I would highly recommend it. All the best!
I would just like to point out that the only 'toxins' likely to pass out of your body through your feet are Urea and Creatinine, neither of which you will find in your water at the end of a session. Two fence nails in salt water with an electrical current passing through them will produce the same brown slimy water as does the footspa. If you run it on it's own without placing your feet in it you get the same results. Can anyone prove for sure that this really works? If so with some scientific evidence to back it up I will happily purchase one.
How come it still change to brown even without putting your feet in it ?!
I had the o2 detox spar bought for me as a gift and it is truly wonderful. It is very easy to use, although the preparation is a bit lengthy (filling up the foot basin with water and finding a comfy spot to sit for half an hour).
I soak my feet in the water for 30 mins and the machine re-energizes my body to help it get rid of excess toxins. I always have a good sleep after the session and I feel very energized. I have the sessions every 3 days and this seems to be ideal for me.
I like this machine becos it has lots of safety features that the other machines haven't got and it was a good price and the extras are also a good price.
I recommend the o2 detox spar
I tried the aqua detox, the bio detox, seen the platinum detox and bought the body detox.
I've used a few of these machines and ended up settling on the body detox foot spa.
After researching the machines I settled on <a href="http://www.thedetoxteam.co.uk">the body detox foot spa</a> they where very helpful, able to provide financing and the real treat is the arrays last longer with this machine.
With the other 3 I've used I would get between 18-20 uses, with the body detox foot spa arrays I get 30+ uses before I have to replace the array and they cost the same so in the long run I opted for this one and am very happy with the results
My family bought an Aqua Detox Foot Spa from a Northwest company here in the UK called Detox International we found them on the internet at http://www.detoxinternational.net. All the family have used the aqua foot spa and it feels great. This amazing new treatment involves placing the feet in a "foot spa" of warm water, which holds the Detox unit. A highly sophisticated "array" causes ionisation of the water and can help re-balance electro-magnetic forces in the body. The unit causes electric dialysis by producing electromagnetic oscillations in the water. The colour and consistency of the water may change due to the release of unwanted toxins through the 2000 pores on the soles of each foot. Part of the colour change is also due to the corrosion of the array during the treatment.
I hope it helps you!
I have an O2 Detox Home Use Foot Spa. I have used the Aqua Detox and Bio Detox machine and I have found the O2 Detox to be far superior.
The machine works by placing your feet into a bowl of warm water with a little bit of salt, you then place a device called an 'array' into the centre of the footbowl and plug this into the main console. I then switch the machine on and usually watch TV or read a magazine for half an hour.
It is a very relaxing experience and you don't really feel anything, apart from a slight tingling sensation every now and then in my legs and feet.
After half an hour has elapsed, the machine beeps to tell me it has finished and I switch it off. I then give my feet a good clean, as the sludge that is produced during the treatment is all around my ankles!
I was visiting a salon in my home town that had an Aqua Detox and a Bio Detox machine, but I found I was paying a fortune for treatments, so I thought I'd buy one to use at home. I found that the machines were over £1000! Also the 'arrays' that needed to be replaced every 20 uses were more than £50 to buy. I found a company called O2 Detox on the internet who sell machines for home use. My machine cost £485 and the arrays are £38 and last 40 uses. I thought the O2 Detox machine looked much nicer than the other machines too, instead of just looking like a foot spa with a load of buttons on the top!
I have noticed that my energy levels are much better and I sleep really well at night, instead of waking up many times.
More information regarding Aqua Detox which was in the Mirror on 7th April 2005, the reason why I wouldn't buy from Robert Neil Bevan of Aqua Detox International
Aqua Detox International of Surbiton, Surrey, couldn't prove any of its claims when challenged by the Advertising Standards Authority.
This outfit is run by Robert Bevan, 63, a man who could do with a miracle cure for his business record.
He was on the board of Aqua Detox Ltd, currently in administration with debts of £813,000.
Rejuva Slim (Oxshott) Ltd was liquidated owing £112,000, and AATC International went under owing £87,000.
Bevan International was £310,000 in the red when it was liquidated, and Campay owed £11,000.
Dodgy company or what????
I have recently purchased an O2 Detox Foot Spa. I am very impressed with it. I have been suffering with terrible psoriasis since my teens and have found that after the 3 sessions I have had the improvement is significant. I have also noticed that the symptoms that I had suffered with from Irritible Bowel Syndrome have disappeared. I am now encouraging my friends and family to have treatments as I know it has helped so many people with many different symptoms.
SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
The O2 Detox literature states:
"The O2 Detox treatment is a very simple and effortless way to detox your body. It simply involves immersing your feet into a foot bowl filled with water. The O2 Detox machine looks like a foot spa. It contains a double element that reacts with water and salt to ionise the water within the foot spa. When the machine is activated it generates a magnetic bio-field similar to that of a living being. When we come into contact with this via our hands or feet the magnetic field within the foot spa interacts with our own magnetic field to rebalance and re-energise our system.
One 30 minute treatment will be enough to impart a sense of relaxation and well-being and your body will, if properly hydrated, begin to detox. A course of treatments will be necessary in most cases if you want you body to re-balance itself to the best health it can achieve.
This type of machine is described as a detox machine because the response of a rebalanced body is to excrete any excess toxins via the kidneys, liver, bowels and skin AFTER treatment. Therefore the client will experience the beneficial effects of a detox experience.
Whilst immersing your feet in the water a gentle Bio-Energetic Resonance travels through the body rebalancing it and providing a catalyst for self-detoxification. The body now starts to release the toxins through the pores in the feet.
The O2 Detox System is completely safe to use. It is however, not recommended for pregnant ladies, anyone with a pacemaker or an organ transplant."
HOW TO USE:
It is a very simple process, I just fill my footbowl with warm water and make up a saline solution with a tiny amount of table salt and warm water.
I then, plug the energiser (this is the metal coil that does all the work) into the control unit and immerse the other end into the water. I then put my feet into the water and switch the machine on. The machine gives a reading of around 0.5 amps. At this stage I feel a slight tingling sensation in my feet, which is not unpleasant, I also notice a yellowy/browny colour immerging from my feet. I then slowly add the saline solution to the water, the reading on the control panel now increases, and I keep adding the saline solution until the level reaches between 1.70 and 2.00 amps. The control panel has a timer on it that counts down from 30 minutes so I know how much time I have left until the end of the treatment. There is no pain or discomfort involved whatsoever.
At the end of the 30 minutes the machine beeps. The water by now is disgusting and I usually cannot see my feet at all! The colour varies with whoever has the treatment. My water is usually dark green and brown, and other people I know who have used my machine have had red, orange, yellow, brown and even black results.
I remove my feet from the water at the end of the treatment and clean them in a footspa filled with clean water and dry them off with a towel. My feet always feel really soft after the treatment and somehow I just feel 'cleaner' in general.
The results so far have been amazing, I had tried so many lotions and potions to get rid of my psoriasis which have not worked, but since I've been using the O2 detox loads of patches I had on my knees and back have gone! I have also suffered quite badly with IBS over the past couple of years and this now appears to have cleared up completely, with no other changes to my lifestyle other than using my O2 detox foot spa twice a week.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
When I first heard of Detox Foot Spas I shopped around, most of the machines are at least £1200, which is just too expensive and the arrays are between £60-£150 and need replacing every 20 uses. I finally came across O2 Detox at a trade fair at ExCel and had a demonstration of the treatment on their stand. I was astonished to find that their arrays last between 40-100 uses depending on if you are in a hard or soft water area and the machine itself was just £599! (which included 2 arrays) The arrays are also fairly cheap at £38, but I still have many more uses out of the 2 I had with the machine until I need to replace them. My colleague has an Aqua Detox machine which cost her £1300 and we have used both of the machines and they do exactly the same job, the other thing I didn't like about that machine is the fact that the digital display is part of the footbowl and one of her clients had splashed water onto it and the display did not work correctly so you couldn't read the timer or the amp readout. The O2 Detox has the footbowl completely separate to the control unit, so there is no chance of water getting splashed on it.
I purchased my machine at the show at ExCel so I took it away with me. O2 Detox do have a website where you can order from them and they send your machine to you via a courier service. The website is http://www.O2detox.com.
Brilliant! I never knew detoxing could be so easy, just sitting and relaxing with my feet in a bowl of warm water! I am even contemplating starting a mobile detox service, I understand salons charge between £25-£40 for a treatment, so I can make the money back that I spent on the machine if I treat just 20 clients and the rest will be profit!
Unfortunatly this dosnt help you at all. What it does is rust the electrode, causing the water to turn that orange colour. It will also turn the water into sodium hydroxide due to the salt in the water. Getting sodium hydroxide on your skin is actually a industrial accident, because it is such a powerful degreaser, and overuse would cause dry and cracked skin. Fortunatly the water dilutes the sodium hydroxide so the effects aren't so apparent. The sodium hydroxide reacting with your skin's natural grease will produce a kind of soapy gunge. http://www.newscientist.com/opinion/opletters.jsp?id=ns24559
I recently bought a Platinum Detox Foot Spa from The Bio-Energy Clinic (www.bioclinic.co.uk). What is it? A detox foot spa looks not unlike a normal foot spa that you can purchase from the likes of Boots or Argos. However this is where the similarities end. You immerse your feet in the warm water inside the foot spa, sit back and relax, and watch the toxins come out through the 2000 pores in the soles of your feet. The results can be amazing. Often there will be lymphatic fat and mucus floating on the water. The water can turn brown, orange or black. The treatment lasts 30 minutes and is suitable for most people. There is no pain or exercise involved. A client would typically book in for a course of 5 to 7 treatments. So how does it work? We all naturally detox through our sweat glands. This system uses that principle. The foot spa is has a coil in the middle called an ?array?. This coil helps energise the water to attract positive and negative ions from both the body and the water. This helps stimulate the body to remove toxins. What does it treat? It doesn?t treat anything, but by helping you detox it can be beneficial for the likes of: l Lactic Acid Reduction l Menstrual Pain l Kidney & Liver Function l Weight Loss l Skin Problems l Circulation l Arthritis l Stress Relief l Heavy Metal Intoxication l Candida l Insomnia The manufacturer provides some excellent information such as medical reports from research carried out, customer testimonials and facts about toxins within our body. How much does it cost? It cost me £799 plus postage (£25 in my case). Delivery was less than a week. Any on-going costs? The array costs £120 plus delivery and lasts 20 treatments. Why I chose the Platinum Detox as opposed to the others I was very impressed with the medical research carried out by the manufacturers. I felt that they weren?t just in it
for the money. The machine also looked the easiest to operate. The Bio-Energy Clinic were also very helpful and knowledgeable. Summary This is one of the most amazingly visual therapies I have ever seen. I bought it as a piece of equipment for my complementary health clinic. Its early days yet, but my clients have all given positive feedback and most seem to have had some real and tangible results. I am looking to purchase another one in the near future.
I had my first Aqua Detox last summer and became very interested in this new product. After a course of 5 treatments my period pains that had affected me all of my life had all but gone. I decided that I wanted a unit for home use, but at £1000+ it was beyond my budget. I searched the web for a better deal. Thats when the whole thing became very confusing! I eventually found a site called www.detoxuk.co.uk. They had researched other manufactuers such as The Detox Box, Bio-Detox and Platinum Detox. I'm currently looking at the various options with a view to buying one and starting my own business. They had much cheaper options available and were very helpful. I will report back on the system I eventually decide to buy. I still have the treatments on a regular basis and must say my general health seems a lot better.
I just bought one of these Fott Spa Detox Systems from www.detoxsystems.com and it is absolutely brilliant. I am a therapist based in Surrey and offer treatments for detoxing across the area. This machine is well-built, reliable and works very effectively. My clients are delighted with the treatment results. The machine cost me less than £800 and I currently charge £30 per treatment. I have seen a number of other machines on the market but for my professional services, the Detox Systems machine is an ideal appliance with excellent support from the manufacturer
Both Bio Detox and Aqua Detox originate from the same company. The Bio Detox machine uses less electricity and uses a more subtle approach to releasing toxins. I found the Bio Detox performs far better than the Aqua Detox machine, but apparently this varies from person to person. Overall, of people that have either seen or used both, most seem to percevie the Bio Detox as far outperforming the Aqua Detox. I would definitely recommend this form of alternative health therapy. Treatments cost between £25 and £45 a session, with discounts sometimes given with a prepaid course of five or more sessions. The machines can also be purchased, but are not cheap, at about £1, 250 each ( more information is available at www.ultradetox.info , www.sbbm.co.uk and www.aquadetoxuk.com ) I have CFS and IBS and I felt 30% better after just three treatments!
