Advantages: Works well

Disadvantages: The smell

I am not one for using nail polish at all. I have two kids and have always got me hands in bleach and washing up liquid so theres just no point however I do like to use the clear stuff every now and again. I normally have a spray tan once a month and find that if I don't coat my nails with something then the tan stains them. Once I've had my tan the nail polish comes off until the next month so I need something that works well but is very cheap.

The remover costs 69p for a 250ml bottle and it contains added conditioner to help strengthen the nails.

The directions recommend that you pop a bit on a cotton wool ball and then place over the nail for a few seconds before wiping gently. I usually pop the bit of cotton wool over the top of the bottle, turn the bottle up side down for a few seconds and then apply to my nail.

The liquid is very watery and it smell rather pungent although not any different to any other remover. It reminds me of white spirit and makes me cough when the lid is taken off. My hubby also complains about the smell of the room when I've used it so I don't tend to use it when the boys are around. I'm afraid they might end up falling over tables!

As far as it doing the job goes, it does work very well. When I've removed the cotton wool the shine of the nail varnish has gone and I am left with bare nails again. I don't understand why anyone would go for a more expensive remover unless it's less effective on brighter colours.

I haven't noticed whether the conditioner is making my nails any stronger as they were fairly resilient before so I can't really comment on that.

I would definitely recommend that you pick up a bottle of this is you are looking for a cheap but good quality remover. It does the job and isn't costly.

Summary: A great cheap product
