      Advantages

      Disadvantages

The best comb I have ever owned.

This is one of those items I never would have thought of if not for dooyoo. I do have long hair and being fine, it tangles easily. I also find untangling hair very painful - not for my scalp - but my hands. I know this aspect won't matter to most people, but if you do have any problems with joint pain in your hands, as I do, or worse broken bits - which I have done as well, brushing your hair can become a real challenge. This comb is honestly the most comfortable comb I have used, with a perfectly shaped handle and wide teeth that easily comb through wet or tangled hair. I am not saying this will not pull at all - if your hair - or child's hair is tangled enough it will pull, but this does make the pulling less - and therefore less stress on my poor hands. It also helps me get finished quicker, which is another benefit, with sore hands, but I expect would be an even more welcome benefit with an uncomfortable child wanting to have untangling their hair over with as quickly as possible.

The comb is a nice shade of red, but I really wouldn't care if it were the colour of a baby's nappy. I bought this for function, not appearance, but it does look nice enough. It is made of plastic, but as silly as this may sound it seems to be a softer plastic than most. As mentioned, the handle is very comfortable to hold, but the teeth have some flexibility. They are also very smooth and rounded at the ends and this is quite comfortable on your scalp, even if it is sore. I have had some problems with my scalp, whether due to autoimmune issues, sunlight ( I have skin reactions to too much sun), medications, or just having trouble rinsing at times I don't know, but last summer I had several bleeding sores on my scalp. This comb was quite nice then as it did not irritate them further, so I would highly recommend this for a sensitive scalp.

Now quite frankly, I would think a comb is a comb - why buy a brand name one? But this did get high reviews here, and I had just broken yet another cheaper comb, so I had a look on ebay, found this at under £3 and bought it ( there are still some at £2.85 including postage, however Avon does not appear to be stocking this item anymore). Considering I was paying £1.50 for combs from the chemist that broke when I pulled to hard or dropped them, this seemed fair enough. I believe I bought this last August when there were a number of reviews for this product and it has lasted perfectly. It looks exactly as it did when I bought it, so it has worked out as value for money. I hope I will have this for years to come.

I am really glad I bought this for one more reason though, and I feel this one will be the most important to average readers. Because this detangles hair easily with less pulling - there has been less breakage as well, and I do feel this has improved the overall health of my hair. If this were to break or be lost - I would certainly go out of my way to look for another. I strongly suspect Avon quite selling this just because I like it so much!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Definitely would buy this again.

        ==Overview==

I have owned the red detangling comb from Avon for a number of years, prior to that I had the grey detangling comb (which I actually preferred but never mind!). The comb is about 25cm in height and is fairly lightweight for a comb but not flimsy like some combs. The comb cost me around £2 from the Avon brochure. I think the latest iteration is a pink comb but this review is for the red one.

        ==My Opinion==

I'm not so keen on flimsy combs with narrow teeth along them, nor do I like a comb without handle. I know it is terrible to brush your hair when it is wet so I always use the detangling comb to be a bit kinder to my hair than just brushing it when wet. The comb is quite wide and chunky teeth which are good for gently getting knots out of my hair. I find that my hair is even easier to detangle when using Avon Dry End Serum (see a much earlier review of that on my profile) but the comb does pretty well on it's own. It is better than the fine-toothed comb as it doesn't seem to tangle knots up more but actually helps to get them out. I like that it feels like a brush in my hand and isn't really flimsy. Although I said it was quite lightweight, it is lightweight compared to a brush but quite heavy for a comb. It is also quite bulky to take out with you for a quick comb of the hair so I tend not to take this one out with me on a night out. It can do a pretty good job at a "quick comb through" and almost looks as good as if my hair had been brushed. It certainly does a better job than the flimsy comb I do take out with me which gets stuck in my hair because it is so fine. However, we have to sacrifice performance for size in some cases and when it comes to handbag space, this comb is never going to win!

        ==Overall==

I think the comb is good value and well made. As with all Avon brushes, they have lasted me years and only see a bit of wear and tear on the handle. I use this several times per week and the teeth are still perfect. The handle feeling like a brush is a bonus for detangling hair but too bulky for a small handbag. Overall 4 stars from me.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Fab comb

I have had a number of these combs over the years. I think my first one was about twelve years ago when my hair really began to get out of control! My eldest sister and I unfortunately inherited our hair from our Dads whilst our other sister was lucky enough to get mums hair! Us 3 all have very thick hair which can also be very frizzy. It has curls but up until the last couple of years my hair was a nightmare and needed straightening daily to look even half presentable. It's not quite so bad these days but I still need to be cautious to look after it or it can end up very split, frizzy and flyaway in no time.

I first bought one of these combs because my hair was proving very difficult to comb after washing. This worked a treat and made the task of combing through my wet hair a million times easier. Since then, my mum has often put one in my Christmas stocking for me!

My comb is red in colour. It's not a bright red, instead its a deep metallic red which I think looks nice and I have no qualms leaving this on my bedroom side. The combination is quite long, probably around nine inches or so in length. The teeth of the comb are along about half of this size and these are quite thick and have about half a cm gap between each. The handle is cylindrical which fits in my palm perfectly and I also find this a great place to store my hair elastics as they are forever going walkies!

The comb is a detangling comb and I have been trying to use this much more over the past few month using this instead of my regular brush where I can. My hair is quite brittle and where I am impatient I often drag the comb through it leaving it in not so fantastic condition! Therefore I've been using this comb more to try and be a bit kinder to my hair.

I use this on both wet and dry hair. I find it works best on wet hair for me. It glides through their easily, getting rid of any small tangles along the way. My hair is about four inches past my shoulder and after having a bath I can always get my hair tangle free within a minute or so when using this comb.

I find it nowhere near as good on dry hair. However, I think I these are predominantly recommended for wet hair so that's probably why. Also, my hair is unbelievably thick and tangles easily. When using it on dry hair I find that it is much more difficult to get through my hair and it does tug quite a bit, however I do find that the knots do come out more easily than they would she. Using the a standard hairbrush.

Since using this comb as much as I can instead of my brush I've noticed a considerable difference in my hair. It is not half as frizzy and the curls are more subtle waves now. I am happy enough to leave my hair down when it has dried naturally.

The price of this comb really does vary but you can expect to pay somewhere between two and four pounds which I believe is very reasonable.

I like this comb. It's kind to my hair and gets rid of knots easily, recommended.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

A basic comb which isnt much use for detanging as advertised

My daughter has quite long hair now that is prone to quite a few tats and knots. Due to her scalp being quite sensitive it is hard finding products with added conditioners that won't agitate her and make her itch resulting in a flaky scalp. I have the same problem with usual conditioners too and even after using a sensitive shampoo and conditioner I am still faced with tats. We tend to have shouts when it comes to brushing the hair through afterwards and although it's easier for me to use a brush it tends to pull the hair when it gets tangled.

My cousin is an Avon representative so I always get the latest book and I noticed they had a detangling comb advertised for about £2.00 which I think is about half price. I decided I would give this a try as anything which would make combing easier was worth a try.

The comb is a nice red in colour, kind of deep and not at all tacky. It is quite long and has teeth which are a bit bigger than some of the other combs I have seen available in the shops, the teeth are also spread a good fair distance apart. The comb is plastic and very strong indeed, there is no way you can bend this and it is been dropped a million times yet it is still going strong.

This comb is no good at all for my daughters hair as due to the width of the teeth it doesn't detangle it at all in fact it tends to keep getting stuck in the knots and It is really uncomfortable for her. For long hair that is prone to tats I would definitely not recommend. I do however use it for my hair when I have applied a deep treatment I can use this to comb it through ensuring all the ends are coated. When it comes to combing after washing I can't use it either as there are still a few tats remaining.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Nice comb

I have no idea why, but for as long as I can remember, after washing my hair and using a hair brush to tame the wild mess, my hair tends to fall out. This is highly annoying as it leaves my hair brush full of hairs, that's why I went on the hunt for a nice comb.

I always get the Avon catalogue through my door but never end up buying anything, when I seen this Advance Techniques detangling comb I thought I'd do my Avon lady a favour and purchase it. I can't remember how much I paid as I purchased it ages ago but I remember it was on some kind of special offer, may have been half price, but the full RRP is around £4.

The comb is nothing special to look at. It is a deep red colour just like the rest of the Advance Techniques hair brushes that Avon sell. The colour is nice, it's not an in your face red and it's only used for combing hair so it doesn't have to have an amazing design! It is made from a tough plastic and I can try and bend it all I like without it even showing signs of weakness. The comb is quite long at approximately 20cm long but the tough plastic material means that as it is long it doesn't compromise the strength of it.

One thing I did notice about the comb when I first got it was the big gaps between each tooth. As this is meant to be a detangling comb, I'm not really sure how well it will handle small knots with the big gaps, my hair doesn't knot so it isn't a problem for me, I've found that it handles relatively tangle free areas easily.

When I use the comb I don't find any discomfort or scratching on my scalp as the ends of the combs teeth are slightly rounded so they don't irritate my scalp. I can brush through my wet falling out hair without it getting stuck around the individual teeth so it does a better job than my normal cushion paddle hair brush. I've had this comb for over a year now and all of the teeth all still there and intact without any snapping and the comb is still in a fantastic condition.

I'd definitely recommend this comb if you need one that will deal with slightly tangled hair, I'm not sure how well it will cope with small knots as the gaps between the teeth are quite large. I love mine!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          A great comb

My hair is really wavy when wet and although I have fine hair there is lots of it which means it is really hard to try and tame and so when Avon had their hairbrushes on offer I decided to purchase this detangling comb to see if it would help. This comb retails for around £4 but as always with Avon they have sales every campaign on different products so I would wait until it is on sale as I picked mine up for around £2 which is reasonable for a comb.

The comb itself is very well made and sturdy it has a large handle so you can easily grip the comb while it runs through your hair and what makes it different to different combs is the space between the prongs. There is a large space between them meaning it runs through your hair a lot easier without needing to pull so much. I have rather long hair which means it tangles very easily and I find if I run this comb through my hair it is softer on my head without it pulling as much as usual combs or my brush and when it comes to straighten my hair with my paddle brush all the knots are removed and it makes it a much easier job.

I find if I comb my hair before I get in the shower it makes it a lot easier when it comes to my hair once I have washed and conditioned my hair and for that reason I always comb my hair before and straight after I get out of the shower and it makes my hair more tameable. The comb is really sturdy and well made so there is no chance of it breaking and I find as the prongs of the comb do not move at all it means it works the knots out of my hair far easier as once it comes to a not is runs it way through it rather than being pushed away.

My eldest daughter has short hair but unfortunately she has my hair so it is wild and out of control. As this comb has a large head and covers a large area of hair at a time it allows me to comb her hair in half the time removing the knots gently and brings her hair under control a lot quicker than a brush and for this reason she loves it too.

My only downside is that the colouring tends to come off the comb really easily and I have found this to be the case with the entire Avon brush range the red comes away leaving the black underneath which can look really messy and as if the product is years old rather than months. This is not too bad as I only tend to use this comb in the house but it is a little annoying.

The comb is a little large to fit in my hand bag but I only carry a little bag if you have a larger shoulder bag it would fit in without any problems and be good for on the go although I prefer to take my pop up brush as it has a mirror on it.

We have had this comb for over a year now and it receives daily use from both me and my daughter it has lasted very well although some of the colouring has come away from it that does not stop it from working. I would recommend this comb to anyone with hair that knots easily it really does help remove them with very little fuss at all and both my daughter and I love it.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Large inexpensive Avon comb - longlasting

          ---Why I Bought It---

I often get the AVON catalogue and bought some of these combs when on offer for 99p.
I tend to do a lot of catalogue and online shopping and after buying my first one years ago bought a few more for around the house.

          ---Ther Product--

Avon Advance Technigues is a range of hair products including shampoos, conditioners and brushes/combs.
This large dark red comb comes sealed in a plastic bag.
It is made of strong plastic.
          Easy to clean.
          Large teeth - non-sharp.
          Hole for hanging.

          ---Cost---

I think about £2.50 full price but often on offer for 99p.
There are also various styles of brushes in the same colour.
Not currently in the Avon catalogue.

          ---My Opinion---

I bought one a few years ago when they were black, These would always disappear into my son's bedroom so I ended up buying about half a dozen to keep in my bedroom, the bathroom, by my pc and in my handbag.
The plastic is a strong bendable sort and not the brittle plastic that you get with cheap combs that have sharp pointy teeth.
I find these combs very reasonable when purchased for 99p.
I always bought a few extra so one could always be found if needed. Then at least I can drag one throguh my hair in the morning when I get up!
It feels nice on your scalp and does not hurt at all when in use.
In fact these are the only combs we have in the house at present.
Personally I do not bother with brushes, but I have short straight hair so it might be different for others.
They do not seem to be in the current Avon catalgue so I am not sure if they are being phased out or not - but these detangle combs have been going for many years now.
It isn't too feminine so can be used by men as well.

          ---Star Rating---

          5 stars.

          ---Would I Recommend?---

Yes definitely - great to pull through your hair quickly and the large teeth do not catch or drag the hair.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          recommended :)

This comb cost me just £1.50, as it was on offer at the time I ordered it. Normal price would be £3. I think this is a very reasonable price to pay. Compared to how much some of the hair combs cost say, for example, in Boots, this one is really cheap. It works just as well in my opinion. It has definitely been good value for money. It is only available in red, which for me is the only disadvantage, and even this is being really picky. The design is OK, the plastic this is made from is quite shimmery so it doesn't look too shabby or cheap or anything, but I would have prefered it in black, purple or maybe pink. I just think Avon should have given us customers a choice on this matter. The rest of the design isn't that bad though. The comb's teeth are quite widely spaced and so if you have any small knots in your hair, they will possibly miss it out and brush around it. But it means that if you want your hair curly or wavy, and you brush it with this comb when its wet, then it still can be. If you used a brush it would probably pull the curls apart but if you go slowly with this one, as well as it feeling like a nice gently massage on the head, this will also leave your curls/ waves intact, unless you have really tight curls when it is probably best not to brush or comb your hair at all. The comb gets rid of most tangles although like I say it sometimes does miss small knots. It is really gentle and feels like good quality. It seems to be made well, strong and durable. I have had mine nearly a year and have used it many, many times, and all of the teeth are still there. Normally teeth fall of my combs but this hasn't happened with this comb, which is great. Overall I would definitely recommend this comb. I really like it. It can be ordered from your representative or online. Thanks for reading :)

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            -

My friend has recently become an Avon representative so I have been buying and trying lots of products (mainly ones that are on offer).

I have long (past shoulder length hair) and was looking for a detangling comb to comb through my conditioner whilst in the shower. I saw this one in the Avon catalogue and it was reduced from £3.65 (rrp) to £1.85 so I thought that was a bargain and I ordered one.

When it arrived I was impressed by the design of the comb the shape and the handle was easy to hold with some grips which would no doubt help when I was in the shower and my hands were wet. The one thing I did notice about the comb was that it was incredibly light weight.

So, on first use I hop in the shower apply my conditioner and slowly and gently pull the brush through my hair where I came across a few tangles.... to hear..... SNAP! The comb completely and utterly snapped in two at the top part of the handle.

I stared in horror! No wonder this brush was so light weight. On closer inspection the actual plastic which made up the comb is incredibly thin. Although the design is appealing to the eye, it clearly hasnt got any strength at all in it.

So, off it went into the bin.

MY ADVICE - IF YOU HAVE LONG HAIR - GIVE THIS ONE A MISS! EVEN AT HALF PRICE THIS WAS A WASTE OF MONEY!

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Brilliant product, long lasting and indispensible

I have been the proud owner of an Avon De Tangling comb (as pictured) for several years now- this is not a new product and is one they feature in every Avon brochure I have seen including the recent Avon brochures that have started to appear at work.

Although Avon prices can vary from campaign to campaign, I bought mine for £1.99 and I saw them recently still on sale for the same price. For this you get one sturdy plastic comb with wide bristles. It is different to a normal comb as the bristles/ comb prongs are thicker than a normal day to day comb and are spaced further apart.

You are supposed to use this when you have just washed your hair- I normally lightly towel dry my hair then use this comb to brush my hair and restore my centre parting that has become all messed up from my hair being washed. I have had no problems with this comb- it is basically brilliant as the bristles are just the right space apart so they do comb through your hair and you can create partings in your hair with this when it is wet. If the bristles were too wide (as I found with a very cheap hair care set I once bought, this would not do much as you would still have tangles when you used a normal comb or brush on your hair after de-tangling it). So full marks for the Avon de-tangling comb.

I have jaw length hair which means tehcnically there is less hair length to get tangled- wrong- when I have gone on holiday and not taken this comb, and just taken a normal comb or brush to save on packing, I have had all sorts of tagled hair issues and lost small balls of hair by being impatient with knots!. Also, I used to have very long hair and find these combs are indispensible. They stop you tearing balls of your hair out when you have washed your hair as they basically stop the knots being created in your hair from over eager combing with too small of a comb when your hair is at its most fragile (when it is wet).

I find if you comb your hair BEFORE going into the shower then shampoo and condition as normal then the comb goes through your hair like a hot knife through butter when you come out. I would recommend this comb to anyone. It is so cheap and it is sturdy enough to last the distance as I have had numerous normal brushes or combs that after about six months the bristles start to snap off- this this comb mine still has all its bristles after a great deal of use.

The only thing I find with this is if you forget to clean it after use or quite regularly, you will end up with flakes in your hair- so you need to remember to wash your combs as otherwise if you have not quite rinsed all your conditioner out and then use this comb the comb will collect the residue and it will dry and then go back into your hair (just not a good look).

Overall, for £1.99 this is a sturdy comb that you should use BEFORE you try to brish or style your hair after you have washed it. You will still need to use your normal brush afterwards but this comb gets rid of the knots and tangles and will save you a lot of hair and ouches in the long term.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A great addition to your hair care accessories!

Any regular readers of my reviews will be aware by now that I work part time as an Avon representative, when my poor health allows. This means that I have great access to any new products and ranges that are available from Avon, as well as having access to many of the brilliant offers that are regularly provided by Avon.

One of the ranges available from Avon nowadays is the 'Advance Techniques' range - which is aimed at hair care and hair products and includes everything from conditioners and shampoos to styling products - is one of the Avon ranges that seem to have an offer on most often. Quite often I find that the products are half price, which is a really good bargain.

One such recent offer was an 'any three products for £5' kind of deal within the range which I thought offered fantastic value, especially when you consider that some of the products within this range cost around the £4 -£5 mark alone.

Deciding to take advantage of this offer, I scanned the pages and made my selection. One of the items I decided to order was the Advance Techniques 'Detangling Comb'. Noting that the usual price for this product was £3.25, I was happy with the saving I was making on this occasion.

I will point out for the purpose of this review that the comb shown in the picture at the top of the Dooyoo page is slightly different to the one that I received in my recent order. This is because the Advance Techniques range has been given a bit of a face-lift recently, and all of the hair brushes and combs within the range are no longer black in colour, but are red.

So, when my (red) comb arrived from Avon, I was keen to give it a trial. I will point out that I have quite long hair - it is beyond shoulder length at the moment - and because of this I like to make sure it is well conditioned. I will always apply a conditioner after shampooing my hair and at least once a week I like to use a more 'deep conditioning' treatment. This is where my comb comes in!

I do find that by combing the conditioning treatment through my hair rather than slapping it on all over by hand really makes quite a difference to the end result. I have MUCH fewer tangles when my hair is dried and I do find that it looks sleeker in general.

Keen to try out my new comb shortly after its arrival from Avon, I decided to use my deep-conditioning treatment after shampooing my hair. I found that the comb allowed the conditioner to be smoothed easily through the length of my hair (which is quite thick) and it easily removed the tangles in my hair whilst I was doing so.

I used to use my old plastic comb for this purpose but I did find that the Avon comb gave a much better result - probably due to the fact that the bristles are quite thick, and widely spaced apart... A very good and clever design!

I do find that my long hair has problems with attracting static at times, and this is improved when I comb my hair rather than brush it. I have found that using this comb helps this problem more than if I were to use a brush. I now use my Avon comb every morning rather than my old brush and I do find that the static in my hair has been improved slightly by doing so.

I regularly have my hair in plaits, and have found in the past that when I loosen the plaits out of my hair, it can be very tangled and there are usually one or two knots in there too. My Avon comb removes these tangles and knots MUCH easier than my hair brush, and with much less pain involved!

Overall, for the reasons I have given above, I have come to the conclusion that this little comb makes life easier for me. I can only award it top marks and would recommend it for little girls with long hair too - believe me when I say that tangled hair is very painful when brushed!!!!

I plan to take the comb away on holiday with me later in the month as I believe it will prove to be a handy addition to my beach bag, and will allow me -after being in the swimming pool or sea - to comb my wet hair easily and more efficiently that with my old style comb or hair brush.

The Advance Techniques detangling comb can be ordered in the usual way from your Avon representative, where the normal price is £3.25. Alternatively, you can order the item online from www.avonshop.co.uk.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

a great comb for long hair or thick hair

Having very long hair has always meant a daily battle with lugs, this isnt too bad when my hair is dry the brush goes through it quite easily with not too much visible damage but when my hair is wet and extra luggy after just being washed you can actually hear it snapping as the brush has to be forced through my hair.

I spotted this comb in the avon book a few years ago and thought i would give it a try, it is around 8 inches long and has plastic teeth but they are not like the teeth on any other comb i have tyred, there are two rows of teeth both in a slight curve starting off far apart and getting closer together. I have found that this comb goes through my hair a lot easier when wet than any other comb or brush i have ever tryed, it seems to tease the lugs down to the end of your hair rather than pull at them which reduced the breakage on my hair leaving it looking a lot healthier.

The handle on the comb is nice too as it is a rubbery type material which makes it comfortable to hold and doesnt allow it to slip out of your hands when using it on wet hair or with a leave in conditioner.

The comb is great for when i have my hair permed aswell for when i have washed it as it gets all of the lugs and tangles out without any pulling of the hair but doesnt flattern the curls too much that they cant easily be scrunched back in after combing.

As i said before my comb is a few years old now but still in perfect condition and the teeth are all intact.

This comb is selling for £3.25 in the newest avon book and is worth every penny although i am disapointed to see it no longer has the rubber grip on the handle.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

A great detangling comb, at a more reasonable price than salon alternatives.

I have recently started going to an Aquarobics class once a week, my health makes exercise difficult but I have found this weight supporting water aerobics is kind to my joints and doesn't cause me to get out of puff and risk an asthma attack! One thing though, I hate swimming pool showers. However nice they try to make them, public swimming baths showers are usually horrible open, sometimes filthy, places and I just won't use them. If it means smelling of chlorine for the 10 minute drive home then so be it and then I'll step into my own beautiful shower stall and cleanse myself properly!

The problem with not showering after Aquarobics is that my hair is a nightmare when wet, frizzing up and generally misbehaving as soon as one spot of water lands on it. This is where my Avon Detangling Comb comes in handy, the widely spaced thick teeth make light work of getting rid of the knots in my wet hair even when it's sticky with chlorine.

I find there is much less hair breakage when using this comb when compared with my usual cushion brush or even other cheaper detangling combs. After combing the tangles from my hair I find there are very few hairs entangled into the comb itself which proves to me that it's a much more gentle on my hair than dragging a bristly brush through it.

It's effective too, I find it easy to tease out even the most stubborn tangles using this comb and it leaves my hair looking nice and tidy until I can get home to wash the swimming pool water out of it.

The comb is comfortable to hold in either hand, the design has changed somewhat since Dooyoo added the picture above. It's now a shiny red colour and the handle is thicker which allows it to fit your hand better, despite the shine on the comb it doesn't slip and slide around even when my hands and hair are wet. It appears to be very well made, of one solid piece so there is very little to go wrong with the comb and I anticipate keeping mine for a long time. Obviously if you have very thick or curly hair then you'll need something a little more specialised and a problem I could foresee for you is that the teeth may snap off as although they're thick I doubt they'd cope with too much abuse.

The comb suits my shorter than shoulder length, vaguely wavy hair perfectly. It doesn't snag or drag my hair at all, I have also used the comb on my granddaughters' fine waist length hair (which as of yesterday is a bob, much to my horror!) and again the comb was kind on her hair and easily sorted out the tangles after she'd washed and conditioned it.

You buy this comb from the Avon book or online at www.avonshop.co.uk It costs £3.25 which is a very good price for such an excellent comb, I have bought less effective ones for more money at the hairdressers before so I'm really glad I happened upon this while browsing the Avon brochure.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

                .

This comb has been out for years and it has recently had a revamp. Although the colour of the comb should not matter, the old style was dark grey and lighter grey. In the new book it is a deep red, which is slightly metallic colouring. I think it is quite a bright colour, but not all that bad. This comb normally costs £3.25, but it is on offer just now for £2.

There isn't much packaging with this. It is just in a clear see through plastic bag and it has some printing on the bag.

The teeth of the comb are quite sturdy and i've not had any break on me and I use this comb often. The teeth are quite thick as well and they are close enough together to comb through well, but far enough apart to be able to clean this alright.

You may think this is pricey for a comb, but it is not the normal thin comb that you loose the teeth on, so it is kind of an investment

I would advise to buy this, especially when it's on offer, as it is a good product that does what it's meant to do

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

                  I recommend this detangling comb.

The Avon Advance Techniques Detangling Comb is one that I use everytime I wash my hair. A detangling comb is extremely important to use on wet hair as it will do considerably less damage to the vulnerable hair strands than a brush will do under wet circumstances.

This comb has nice solid, sturdy teeth that have no flexibility to them. Mine has not broken or chipped in all the time I have used it and the handle is nice and smooth too. There is an obvious difference between using this comb and using one from the pound shop because of the quality to the handle and teeth.

This comb costs £3.75 from Avon which I think is a good price for something that will do your hair some good and last a long time too. It is frequently on offer and is being released in a new red version in January for half the usual price so that is a good time to buy one.
