I bought this paddle brush after seeing it on offer for £3.75.
The brush itself is a gorgeous red colour and the shape of the brush is sleek and elegant. It looks more expensive than it is. The brush is shaped a little like a paddle, hence the name, and it's said to suit longer hair types. You can also use the brush with straightening appliances to help straighten your hair better.
I find the brush comfortable to hold and it doesn't slip from my fingers during use. I find that I can grasp it easily. The bristles are lovely and soft and they're flexible too. The brush detangles knotty hair without damaging it and it helps to create sleek styles whether your hair is naturally straight or not. The brush feels lovely when brushed against the scalp and I manage to end up with long lasting results after using the brush.
The brush is strong and sturdy and it's made well. It's an excellent quality brush and the bristles don't fall out or droop to the side. I do find that a little hair can build up in the brush but the dead hair is easy to remove. Plus you can wash the brush in warm soapy water if you need to.
A great quality brush for straighter hair.
Having grown out my hair from a short shoulder length style to a longer length that reaches half way down my upper arm, I decided that I needed new brushes more suitable to this new length.
A paddle brush seemed like a suitable optional as I know these types of brushes are designed for medium to long hair types. Not really wanting to spend a lot on one, I was excited to see that the Advanced Techniques Paddle Brush from Avon was on offer from £7.50 to a bargain £3.00! I ordered the brush straight away, not wanting to miss out on the offer.
When the brush arrived I was surprised at how big it was, but very pleased with the size - it was a lot wider than I expected. The colour of the brush is a dark red with a black cushion.
The results this brush gives your hair is amazing. I have medium length hair which is neither thick nor thin. I only required about 5 strokes of this brush through my hair for it to be completely untangled and smooth. Unlike with other brushes I have previously tried, this did not leave my hair static and the bristles are not too harsh on the scalp which, which is a big bonus, especially for thoses with sensitive scalps.
This brush is ideal for using when drying wet hair to get a smooth and straight finish. It's also great on dry hair for a quick brush through and detangle. I noticed that this didn't pull as much hair out when I brushed either.
I would definitely recommend the Avon Advance Techniques Paddle Brush for anyone with medium to long hair of any thickness. It's especially great for those after a smooth sleek style. I am now considering buying other hair brushes from this range.
