Pleasant and relaxing, but not a real spa at home. (Babyliss Shiatsu Bath Spa)

Advantages: Relaxing foot massage and fun swirling bathwater.

Disadvantages: Quite noisey, and back massage not powerful enough.

The Babyliss Shiatsu Bath Spa is very easy to fix to the side of the bath with the strong suction pads, and the first bit of electric cable that comes out of the unit is covered in a plastic surround that lets you mould it to a shape thats keeps it out of the way.

Once the bath is full, up to the "minimum" line on the spa unit, switch it on using the dial that lets you choose any combination of jet and vibrating massage.

The jet is quite powerful, given the size of the unit, but if you are used visiting spas you may still be disappointed. I found it more effective when I used it on my feet than on my back. Simply swirling water around the bath with the jet is quite fun, and shows the power of the pump.

The vibrating massage pads are quite noisey, to the extent that the noise reduced the relaxing effect when I used it on my back and neck. But the back massage effect was still pleasant, particularly when used along with the jet.

If found the vibrating foot massage far more effective, and quieter simply thanks to the increased distance between my ears and the source of the noise! Along with the jet I happily while away a good ten minutes in the bath, and feel quite relaxed afterwards.

I enjoyed the second use far more than the first, simply because the first time I was comparing the Babyliss Bath Spa with a "real" spa experience with very powerful jets and and human masseuse. The second time I used it I was a lot more realistic, and really quite enjoyed it!

Summary: A pleasant and relaxing bathtime experience, but not extraordinary.
