As essential part of your make up kit. Have you tried Bare Minerals yet? The best way to apply is with this shapely, all face coverage brush!
The brush itself:
Tends to be between £25 and £30 depending of whether you get it online or in-store. I paid £27.99 for mine in Debenhams a year or so ago. Once i discovered Bare Minerals i thought i may as well go the whole hog and get the best results. I had previously had a rather cheap make-up brush and the bristles fell out all over my face giving one the impression of rather dazed porcupine! tee hee. The brush is very soft so glides over the whole face and over your eye lids without anything digging in or feeling too course. Plus the brush is so soft that it will not remove your prima which you may have already applied to your skin.
To load the brush you put some powder in the lid of your Bare Minerals pot and swirls, tap, swirl tap. This Loads the brush with the correct amount of powder, if there is still powder left in the life then you have tapped out too much, the brush loads itself with just what is needed - clever little thing that it is! Then simply glide across skin in gentle circular movements, i start over the left eye, swirls down over the left cheek and chine, re-load the brush and repeat process for the right hand side of your face. This means that you get a full coverage with 2 tiny amounts of powder.
This brush sort of has the same effect as the diffuser on a spray paint can in that the coverage is even and wont be heavier in some areas over others. if you skin is clear then this is all you need to do, you would have successfully covered any slight discoloration of the skin or dark circles under your eyes, if however you need to add more covered to something then you need to use a concealer brush, no swirling this time, just a tap tap tap motion and again you really don't need much.
I have had my brish for over a year now and it has only juuust started to leave little brushes on my face, though this does tend to be if am am hot or have not let my moisturizer sink in properly. I certainly do not need to replace it yet.
The upkeep of the brush:
Every few weeks you need to clean your brush, you will find you have to do this more often if you over-charge the brush with powder. Fill the sink up with warm water and shampoo your brush, just your regular shampoo ios fine. once you have rinsed it thoroughly you need to use conditioner, just treat it like your hair. Let the brush dry naturally on a towel or tissue paper in the sun and then you are good to go. You will find that this pro-longs the life of your brush meaning that it has been £30 very well spent!
I would strongly recommend buying this brush to use Bare Minerals to its full effect.
