“ Brand: Bodycare / Type: Moist Tissues / Dosage Form: Tissues / Subcategory: Tissues & Wipes „
I always like to use moist wipes and have a pack in the bathroom all the time. I often pop into Bodycare in central Durham, whenever I am in the area as there is a great shop there which sells lots of its own brand toiletries and their moist scented wipes are brilliant value for money and great quality. Sometimes, I've been lucky enough to get these reduced but even at full price they are only £1 for a pack of 42 wipes.
I am sure that when I first stared to use these wipes that the fragrance wasn't quite so strong as it is mow. Lately, the last few times I have bought these particular wipes, I have noticed that the fragrance does seem to be particularly strong. The smell isn't unpleasant, in fact it's a sweet, fresh and feminine smell, which is really rather nice, however, it does seem that Bodycare have slightly overdone the fragrance the last few times I have bought these wipes. Not only is the fragrance very strong, but italso seems to linger for ages afterwards.
The wipes themselves, as I say, are only £1 for a fairly large pack of 42 wipes There is a sticky transparent seal which is easily pulled back I order to remove as many wipes as I need or want to use, I tend to use only one at a time and they do come out individually, and not all stuck together in one large clump.
The wipes are whet in colour and sort of a long shaped square in shape, which I suppose means they are slightly triangular. What I really like about these wipes (apart from the fact that they help to keep me clean and fresh) is that they are really thick and moist but not so moist that I ever feel wet or uncomfortable after having used them.
My husband also uses these wipes though he has commented that he's not so keen on the fragrance. My daughter has also used them and even though she has very sensitive skin, they have never aggravated her or caused any unwanted reaction. A pack lasts about a week in our house and so that works out good value for money in my opinion.
They are most certainly a brand that I'd recommend though I don't think many people will have tried them as I'm not sure how many branches of Bodycare there are. Great quality product and an essential item for any bathroom.
Not very often do I browse in Bodycare but the other day I was in town with my mother when there was a couple of things she knew she wanted in there and so I found myself mooching about whilst waiting for her. I stumbled across a pack of these moist toilet tissues, on offer for just 66p a pack and so decided to get them to try out. I do like a quick freshen up with a product such as this and like them to be in my bathroom for my guests to use should they want to and so I thought this was a brilliant little find!
These toilet wipes comes in a really nice and rather plain plastic squarish shaped pack and on the front of it in grey writing we are clearly told that they are Bodycare Toilette 'Flushable moist toilet tissue' and that there are 42 wipes within the pack (this is the only size I saw these available to purchase in by the way) and we are also told that they break down when flushed, are dermatologically tested and contain Vitamin E and then there is a light blue and white swirl shown then on the back of the pack other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use them, cautions and ingredients are listed and contact details for the manufacturer are stated. Like I say this is nice enough packaging, informative enough and to pull a wipe out the top of the pack is easy and it has a see-through sticky section that is resealable and stays sticky too and with these as well it is easy to pull one wipe out at a time which I appreciate!
These wipes are quite simply excellent! Oblong in shape they and brilliant white in colour these are made of like a cotton, thickish material that really doesn't break apart or molt bits off it or anything adverse like that at all. They are not huge wipes by any means but they are thick and strong and they are really moist without being wet or drippy.
The scent on these is very strong indeed. Its a scent to me that is quite coccunty and sweet and although not entirely a natural fragrance it is strong and very pleasant, if somewhat feminine.
I find these wipes just superb. Soft and strong, leave a nice refreshing scent where I have wiped, these leave me fresh 'down there' and not wet so I can wipe, flush one or two at a time (with no issues at all!) and then pull me pants up and off I go....no drying time is needed and I am left feeling more confident particularly around that dreaded time of the month time!
These do not agitate my more sensitive regions and they really do leave me feel feeling clean....refreshed even and the scent lingers on me for ages afterwards once I have used one of these....and one is all I ever really need per use for a freshen up and go!
A great buy, these really are and for about £1.00 a time in Bodycare you get 42 wipes which cannot be moaned about so yup even if I don't see these on offer again I will happily pay the retail price with no quibbles and now I have a reason to regularly visit Bodycare!
I have tried out lots of different brands of moist toilet paper or tissues in the past, and have found most of them to be quite good, and very convenient to use. It was whilst I was shopping in a local branch of Bodycare recently that I noticed their own-branded "Toilettes" which are described on the packaging as being "Flushable moist toilet tissues". I decided to give the product a try out, with this review outlining my experiences.
The moist tissues are only available in branches of Bodycare, of course, as they are an own-branded item. The package contains 42 individual wipes, and I believe this cost me in the region of 90 pence or so, which I thought represented reasonable value for money. The cost is on a par with most other moist tissue products that I purchase on a regular basis.
The packaging is fairly basic it has to be said, comprising of a plastic pack that is slightly square-ish in shape and white in colour. I have found the pack, although simplistic in its design, is more than suitable for its intended purpose.
The pack's closure comprises of a sort of plain, oblong-shaped sticker, which acts as a sort of seal on the pack. This can simply be peeled back to reveal the pack's opening, and resealed again once I am finished with the moist tissues. I have found that in this instance, the 'label closure' design is actually rather sturdy, and I have found that the label has not lost any of its adhesive which would render it rather useless and would no doubt see the moist tissues contained in the pack lose some or all of their moisture. This is actually quite a common fault with many products that have this packaging design, so I was pleased when the Bodycare tissues didn't fall foul of this annoyance, with its plain packaging being of a better quality than some of the other, similar products that I have bought before instead.
The packaging makes several little claims/statements on the front:
* Breaks up when flushed
* Dermatologically tested
* With Vitamin E
I found said statements offered something of a reassurance, particularly the last two, as I suffer with very sensitive skin, and I am therefore always wary of trying out new products, in case they should be too harsh or cause an unwelcome reaction. As I had never tried out the Bodycare Moist Tissues before, I felt somewhat reassured by the statements given on the pack, prior to my purchase.
The moist tissues, or 'Toilettes' to give them their 'proper' name, are white in colour and are an oblong shape. They measure 18 x 12 cm (approx) which I feel is on a par with most other similar products that I purchase regularly. Certainly, I have not noticed that the Bodycare Toilettes are considerably smaller or neater than their rivals from other brands, and they appear to be of an 'average' size and shape.
Their material, on the other hand, is quite different from many other brands, as it consists of a thicker 'towel' rather than what I would describe as being moist paper. Perhaps this is where the 'Toilettes' name comes from, as these particular offerings are considerably thicker than other, similar products that I regularly purchase. With a sort of light 'woven' feel to their texture, the Bodycare Toilettes feel more like a sort of 'baby wipe' than other, rival products. These points are mere observations on my part, and there is nothing about the appearance or 'feel' of the Bodycare tissues that gives me cause for complaint; if anything, they feel softer and slightly more luxurious than some of the other moist toilet paper products that I buy regularly.
Other plus points and positives are noticeable too; I like how the Bodycare moist tissues don't feel overly 'wet' when using them against my skin, nor do they feel 'sloppy' or at all harsh. There was nothing uncomfortable about using the Toilettes at all, and I felt they left me feeling fresh and clean without any unpleasant side-effects. I have noticed too, that some moist wipes or tissues feel extremely cold during use, which I feel is down to them being too wet; the Bodycare tissues don't fall into this category, and there is nothing that feels uncomfortable during their use.
The only real negative I have noticed is concerning the tissues' smell; I find their scent to be rather off-putting, and I can't say it is a particularly redeeming feature of the product, nor do I even find the tissues' aroma to be particularly pleasant; it is far too sweet, which makes it feel sickly, and I find too that the scent is quite strong, so I can't fail to miss it as I remove one of the wipes from the pack. On the plus side, I don't notice the scent lingering or hanging around, and it disappears almost as soon as I have finished using the tissues... thank goodness! For the sickly, 'saccharine' type of aroma that is off-putting to me, I am deducting one star from the Dooyoo product rating score.
In terms of the Bodycare tissues quality, however, I have no complaints as they feel very soft and gentle on the skin, with nothing harsh being present, and no unpleasant 'scratchy' feeling being present either. This is good news, as some cheap or 'budget' branded tissues have felt rather inferior in this regard, with them feeling a bit harsh on my sensitive skin. The Bodycare product, in comparison, feels only refreshing and cleansing during use, with them feeling rather more luxurious than many other brands I have tried out before.
Taking everything into account, I do feel the Bodycare Flushable Moist Toilet Tissues are an extremely worthwhile purchase, with them performing very well for their intended use. In addition, I find they are perfectly suited to my hyper-sensitive skin, being hygienic and refreshing without causing any irritation or side-effects. It is true that I find their strong scent to be off putting, but when considering the product's performance, and their good quality, economical price and convenient packaging, this annoyance seems like something I can live with, and I do feel that I would purchase the product again in the future.
