Advantages: Works very effectively and doesn't dry out nails.
Disadvantages: You can easily spill it
*Introduction*
My preference when it comes to removing nail polish is to use those fantastic little pads that you can buy in little pots that are already soaked in nail polish remover liquid. Unfortunately, these are a little on the expensive side which is why I bought Boots Expert Clean Off Nail Polish Remover. I had used Boots Expert Conditioning Nail Polish Remover after I had false acrylic nails and wanted to build up their strength again but this was out of stock so I decided to give this bottle a chance.
*The Claim*
You can change your nail colour as easily as you change your mind with Boots Expert Clean Off Nail Polish Remover.
*About the Product*
This nail polish remover is enriched with oil so unlike other removers that can dry out nails, this gets the job done in a jiffy and helps keep nude nails looking and feeling great.
*Application*
To use this nail polish remover, you'll require a piece of cotton wool or a cotton pad. Then, moisten whatever it is that you have selected with a generous amount of the product. After you have done this, softly wipe your nail from the cuticle to the tip to remove all signs of the nail polish swiftly and successfully. My advice is to use one cotton pad per hand but if you only have one piece of cotton wool, you could probably get away with using just the one.
*Price and Availability*
You can buy Boots Expert Clean Off Nail Polish Remover exclusively from Boots stores. If you don't have access to one or prefer to buy online, you can also buy it online from www.boots.com.
This nail polish remover can be purchased for the extremely low price of £1.25. This is very cheap when you consider how good it is at removing the nail polish. It is certainly better than some of the more expensive brands.
*My Opinion*
The packaging: Boots Expert Clean Off Nail Polish Remover is packaged in a clear bottle with a screw on lid, although it looks pink due to the products colour. The design of this bottle is basic, dull and clinical in appearance. Like the conditioning version of this product, it looks like an item that should be in a work cleaning cupboard or in a hospital. Boots do not get a thumbs up from me on the packaging although to be honest, it is what is inside that counts when it comes to nail polish remover.
Colour, texture and smell: The colour of this nail polish remove is pink/purple but don't worry, this will not be transferred onto your nails. Like most nail polish removers, this product is water like in texture. It makes its ease of use very simple. What I also liked about the texture is that it didn't dry your nails out, yet it was also not greasy. I hate greasy nail polish removers so I was thrilled with this one. You didn't even need to wash your hands after use if you didn't want to.
As for the smell, it is awful. Unlike the conditioning version which was relatively mild compared to most nail polish removers this was not. It is possibly one of the strongest smells of acetone that I have ever had the dissatisfaction of smelling. The only good thing about it is that the nail polish is so good and quick to use that you don't have to put up with the unbearable scent for as long.
Longevity of the product: This product should last you quite a long time. If used regularly, this should last you about 6 -7 months which is pretty good. Be careful not to spill the bottle whilst the lid is off as this will waste the product and leave whatever you spill it on smelling pretty bad. Not good.
Does it get the job done in a jiffy? Yes it does! The quality of this nail polish remover means that the speed at which the nail polish is transferred from your fingers to the cotton pad is quick. This also means that you don't have to smell the foul acetone for long!
Does it help to keep nude nails looking and feeling great? Again, another resounding yes. Unlike a few nail polish remover that completely dry out my nails, this doesn't. It makes my nails feeling great after use and the look super too as any trace of nail polish is removed. That is all I ask for from a nail polish remover and this succeeds in doing that.
*Would I Recommend This Product?*
I would definitely recommend Boots Expert Clean Off Nail Polish Remover as a product that you should consider when buying a nail polish remover. It works quickly and effectively and although it smells rather nasty, it is no different to that of others. If what you are searching for is cheap yet outstanding nail polish remover stop the search as you have found it!
If you are looking for one that doesn't smell strongly of acetone, look elsewhere as you won't get this quality with this nail polish but there aren't many like that around.
*Overall*
Boots Expert Clean Off Nail Polish Remover is one of the best. It is inexpensive yet effective and I would say excellent value for money. I will definitely be buying this again. It allows me to try out a number of different nail polishes without having to worry that I won't be able to remove the colour afterwards.
Summary: A super nail polish remover
