... a small clear bottle with a water like liquid inside (oh god, don't drink it). Just opening it you can smell how strong it is and imagine the taste. To apply, there is a normal brush reminiscent of nail varnish. It dries very quickly and you cannot tell there is anything on your nails, it dries completely clear and gloss free, which is good because it is very runny and therefore hard to get only on the nail. The taste is... well... as promised really. It is disgusting. It really does make you think twice abo...more

Boots Expert Nail Biting Solution: A double-edged solution. (472 words)

Biting one's nails is a horrible, horrible habit- and one I don't have any chance of curbing unless I muster up a huge amount of willpower soon. There have been periods in my life where I have managed to grow my nails to decent lengths (e.g. at the start of university and when I had braces), but then bitten them down again during times of anxiety or boredom. Sometime last year I resolved to beat the habit once and for all so I looked for a product to help me on the Boots website and came across their 'Expert Nail Biting Solution', which I then bought in-store. The solution is in a small 10ml bottle with a varnish brush and lid. Overall it costs £4.10, which I ...  Read the complete review

Desperate to stop biting your nails? (410 words)

I've been trying to stop biting my nails for as long as I can remember, and I regularly use nail biting solutions to try and stop myself. I decided to try this solution after I'd been biting my nails severely one week. The nail biting solution: The solution itself goes on nicely and is invisible, so it doesn't look like you have anything on your nails, unlike some other solutions which look like you're wearing shiny nail polish. Importantly it has a very strong unpleasant flavour which really deters you when you're tempted to bite and can even make you feel slightly sick if you persist in biting them. However, there is a major downside to this as ...  Read the complete review

Boots Expert Nail Biting Solution: A solution to nail biting? (671 words)

I have been a nail biter for as long as I can remember. A male teacher at primary school once offered me £10 if I could grow my nails. Now I'm sure that would be frowned upon today or even classed as grooming, but it didn't work and 15 years later my nails are worse than ever. I have used various techniques to stop biting: tried doing other things with my hands, chewed chewing gum, worn gloves and tried just about every product designed to stop nail biting. I have used various nail biting solutions over the years but after using them over and over I become accustomed to the taste and it stops working! Boots Expert Nail Biting Solution has now been on my ...  Read the complete review

Quick Fix To Stop Nail Biting (503 words)

So I have that horrible, horrible habit of biting my nails, mine are some of the worst you could possibly see, right down so that they sometimes bleed and are often very painful. I'm really self conscious of it and had to stop my neighbours offered me use of her expensive 'nibble no more' which was a very expensive but very useful nail biting solution that stopped me! ( I have also reviewed this if you are interested!) However I couldn't keep using my neighbours as it was very expensive so I went looking in Boots and found this which I paid for with some advantage points as I had no money and desperately needed some nails! The bottle cost about £4.50. The ...  Read the complete review

Boots Expert Nail Biting Solution: I don't think I'll ever taste anything else again... (435 words)

I have been a nail biter since I can remember. It's never really bothered me to be honest, but recently I have been to get an internship and therefore going to quite important interviews. I then started to get paranoia that I'd look scruffy and dirty with my manky nails. So I decided to try and do something about it.. This product costs about £4 and is slightly cheaper than branded nail biting solution (though admittedly not by much, I have never used others though so cannot compare effectiveness...). It comes in a small box with all the relevant ingredients on it and the boots logo and product description. Inside the box is a small clear bottle with a water ...  Read the complete review
