~ The Eyelash Curler ~
The eyelash curler is boots own brand so is only available to buy in their stores or online. The eyelash curler defines and lifts lashes helping to make your eyes look wider and more beautiful. The eyelash curler is black in colour and comes with an extra rubber pad for when it needs replacing. The packaging of the product is very simple and it comes in a plastic bag which hangs on a hook. You can see the eyelash curler through the bag. On the back of the bag are instructions on how to use the product to achieve best results. The eyelash curler was £4.50 which I thought was a reasonable price and it was also the cheapest eyelash curler in boots. I wanted a good eyelash curler; how-ever I didn't want to spend lots of money on one which is why I went for this one in the end.

~ Using the product ~
The eyelash curlers work best on clean eyelashes, so ensure they are free from any mascara or other make-up. You can use ye make-up remover to remove any traces of mascara. Simply open the curler and clamp the lashes near the roots, hold for approximately 10-30 seconds and then repeat on the other eye. Never curl your lashes after applying mascara. I used the product according to the instructions on the back of the packaging. I did remove the extra rubber pad which was attached to one of the handles by a piece of metal before using the product. I slipped my finger and thumb into the holes and held the eyelash curlers up to my lashes and as close to the eyelid as possible. I then squeezed the eyelash curlers gently but firmly for about 15-20 seconds before releasing them. The eyelash curlers were a little thinner than what I was used to using as my last eyelash curlers had slightly thicker metal. I used the eyelash curlers on the 2nd eye before popping them back into my makeup bag. The eyelash curlers were easy to use, although they were thinner than what I was used to using. The product really did help to curl my eyelashes and this was a great help when applying mascara as the mascara helped to curl the lashes a little too.

~ Overall Opinion ~
I did expect the eyelash curler to be made of slightly stronger metal as they were £4.50 so I did expect slightly better quality than much cheaper brands. The eyelash curlers are really easy to use and give a nice curl to my eyelashes which looks natural and not over the top. It's great that they provide a spare rubber pad for when the one in the curlers starts to go slightly hard. To help my lashes curl a little more I do blast them with a little heat from the hair-dryer which helps to make your lashes curl a little more, how-ever you do need to be very careful if you do this and ensure that the eyelash curlers don't get too hot. I do give my eyelash curlers a wipe every now and again using a facial wipe to ensure they stay clean and to get rid of any dirt or bacteria that could easily get into my eye. The rubber pads are really easy to change and they pull out from the curler easily and then the new pad can simply be pushed into place. They are great eyelash curlers and aren't too bad for the price, how-ever due to the thin metal used for them I think they could probably be dropped in price a little. I give this product 4 out of 5 stars. I would probably spend a little bit more money on another brand to ensure I got stronger eyelash curlers next time.
