      affordable

I love this little make-up mirror I came across at Boots, as it's so handy to have with you in your make-up bag, not only is is handy to have a mirror to apply make-up or touch up your lipstick while your out, but this has two mirrors and one of them magnifies 2x which is great for me as I were glasses.

It's sometimes a little hard to put make-up on , especially eye liner without your glasses on.
With the magnifying mirror you can see better to apply your make-up.

You get the mirrors in a little plactic bag and the case of the compact is black, it opens outwards and the mirrors are at each side of the compact, one ordinary mirror and the other the magnifying mirror, it costs £5 which is not too much to pay for a little compact mirror case.

It's thin and sleek and fits nicely into my make-up bag for carrying around in my handbag and is handy for just whipping out and touching up your lipstick or eyeshadow if your out for the day.

I think this is a bargain and have used it often and will keep it in my make-up bag, you can buy them online from Boots.com or in the store and as it's in a compact which clicks shut tightly so it's something that's safe from damage as the mirrors are attached quite securely inside.

If you drop the compact they won't smash and as you only open the compact up to use the mirrors it's not something that is going to get scratched and knocked about, so for £5 I think this is a great idea and a durable product that I can recommend.

      Perfect handbag mirror

Going out without a mirror in my bag is like going out without any shoes on. It is essential for me as I hate the feeling of not being able to check whether my hair has run amuck or make up smudged. The mirror I currently have is this Boots magnifying compact mirror.

Generally, the mirror costs £5 from Boots. I purchased mine in my local store but it is also available to buy online. It comes packaged in a transparent plastic bag so you can see exactly what you are getting inside.

Given that it is a compact mirror, it's not very big. I would say it is roughly 5cm x 5cm and a cm thick. The mirror is very easy to open despite being quite small, I have chunky fingers and don't come across any problems when opening. The outside of the mirror is black in colour, it doesn't look like anything special.

Gleaming brightly as soon as it is opened are two different mirrors. Although they look exactly the same after a quick glimpse they are actually different. One is a standard mirror, where you see exactly what is looking into the mirror, the other one is a 2x magnifying mirror. This one is particularly handy since the mirrors are quite small, it makes checking makeup and reapplying, if necessary, a doddle. The magnification is at the perfect level, it doesn't magnify things too much so that it is hard to see what is going on, it magnifies just right! The standard mirror is a nice inclusion as it makes checking your hair do as a whole easier than when using the magnified side.

Glancing into my hand bag, it's hard to spot the compact mirror, this is because my handbag is usually full of junk. However, I think this is a good thing as it shows that the mirror doesn't take up too much of the precious room in a handbag. It is easy to come across after a quick rummage around as not many things feel square and plastic in a handbag!

Gladly recommend by me, this compact mirror from Boots is a fantastic addition to anybody's handbag. At £5 it is a little expensive, but it is definitely worth it as it is long lasting and provides a reflection whenever you may need one.
