      Good nails!

Since I can remember I have bitten my nails and on numerous occasions I have tried to grow them only to be unsuccessful. Eventually I decided to give up and since then when ever a special occasion comes round I rely on false nails. After trying many brands I found they always fell off or just looked false!

Finally I found Broadway nails. I bought mine from boots they range from between £8-£10 which I know may seem expensive but thats alot cheaper then getting them done at a nail salon andthey last just as long!

They come in a light blue box and at the bottom it shows you the simple step by step instructions. Theres a window in the box which allows you to see what you are getting which I think is a good idea as most boxes just show you the nails so you dont know whether you get extra things like files etc. There is also a picture of a hand which is wearing these nails and from this picture you can see how good the nails look.

Inside the box you get all the false nails and they are differnt sizes to allow them to fit your nail you also get enough that should some fall off you have extras there to stick them back on.

The glue is also good as its a brush on one reather then squeezing it out the tube this makes it simple to apply onto the nail and stick to your nail as you dont end up putting to much on there.

The nails stick down well and you get no air bubbles appear like how other false nails have which I have used. Once there all stuck on you get a good file to shape then and file them down to a length you want. Then simply brush over the glue over the entire nail as if your applying nail varnish and you then hvae another pot which is activator brush this over the nail and the nail sets and becomes nice and hard. This is what keeps the nails on for so long.

Once finished you can leave them how they are, as they look like natural nails or apply nail varnish on.

I was really impressed with these nails and people couldnt even tell that they were fake which was brilliant. I find that the nails last from between 2-3 weeks but can last a little bit longer as you have the extra nails to stick on if they fall off.

These are false nails I would definatley recommend!

      worth trying

I brought this kit for Boots for £12, it says there is enough for 2 applications so I thought this was quite good value as before I have paid about £10 for just one application.

In the kit is a nail stick, a nail file,, nail gel, nail gel activator, brush cleaner and 48 nail tips with tabs on the top and the all important instruction booklet.

They are quite easy to apply but you do need to take your time with them. Firstly you choose which nails fit yours there are about 10 different sizes across quite a wide range. If they aren't a perfect fit you can file them down this is easy to do and using the file provided it gives a smooth finish.

Next you use the gel to paint the back of the nail and then you stick it to your nail, the nails have a ridge going along the back so this acts well as a guide to how far up your nail it should be. Some of the nails came off so I used nail glue instead of the gel to stick them back on and this has lasted a lot better.

You then file it so it is smooth with your nail, they do this quite well and there is a smooth finish on my nails. Then you set up the bottles in order of gel, activator, then brush cleaner. This does help to make application easier.

Firstly you apply the gel, then the gel activator, you do this using the brush from the brush cleaner, then after each nail you return it to the brush cleaner this prevents the activator setting on the brush and making it gloopy. This is then repeated and left to dry. The nails have a very smooth finish and feel comfortable on.

You can then paint the nails, this is easy and is just like painting your natural nails, the polish goes on smoothly. Sometimes when I have painted other false nails if has given sort of a cracked result but this didn't happen with these ones. You can take the nail polish off with nail polish remover but brush over lightly don't let it soak the nail as this sorts dissolving the gel.

I would recommend doing this where there is lots of air, I had the door closed and got a bit of a headache from them as they have a really strong chemical smell.

I am very impressed with these nails and would recommend trying them, I did mine a couple days ago and they still look good. I don't know how long they will last for but I will update this when I do.

      An update:
I have had these nails on for less than a week and they are starting to fall off already so they don't really last very long. They are also easy to knock off if you catch your hand on something. They haven't done any damage to my natural nails and they are still in good condition so they are gentle on your nails as the box says.
So I would say these are good if you want them for a special occasion but not really if you want them to last for a while.
