WHAT IS IT?
This is a mirror for your handbag. Mine was gifted to me with another novelty mirror last Christmas and I have used it alot since then.
This is an open mirror that does not close or have a lid, it does not come in a protecting pouch so you have to be very careful that you do not scratch it or break it when it is in your bag. The mirror is round and covers one side and the other side has got a picture of a Cherry Bakewell cake on it, my friend bought it for me because I had never tasted a Cherry Bakewell until recent and when I had one I loved it and ate them all the time.
WHAT I THINK
I like this mirror very much because it is fun and the mirror works as good as any other one that I have got. It is not a magnified mirror but I do not care about that because I use it only for checking my make up when I am out so I do not need for my face to be magnified.
I think the mirror is good quality and I am happy about that because novelty items do not usually last for very long.
I am afraid I am going to scratch the mirror so I use a small velvet bag to keep it in but I would like for it to be sold with one of its own because the risk of damage is very high when glass is left uncovered like that.
This mirror costs about £3.99 and I think that is value for a gift but I would not pay that for the mirror for use by myself. I am very happy with it and have used it alot because I think it is nice to have something that is bright and fun in my handbag and other people have said they like it also when they have seen me using it outside of the home.

===Other Bakewell Tart Items===
The image seems very popular at present as you can also buy tins, badges, air fresheners, coasters, necklaces, trays, key rings, bicycle bells, aprons and cufflinks with this or a similar image.
I just love fake food items and this image looks good enough to eat!
This is a button mirror which has the image on the reverse and the mirror on the front.
The image is so lifelike, from the crisp serrated edge of golden pastry to the glossy white icing and the succulent, translucent and shiny cherry in the middle - I just love it!
Apart from being so pretty and cute the mirror is lightweight and convenient to have in your bag or pocket - and so attractive when you have to pull it out to use - much better than any plain old mirror.
As well as a cute inexpensive gift for yourself this is a great item to give as part of Birthday gifts and I got another one to give to son's girlfriend who loves cakes with cherries on.
The image is well done and sort of glossy and shiny, which adds to the effect.
The image, being from Robert Opie is a lovely one, as Robert Opie has made a lifetime's work of collecting old images and food packaging and now you can buy authentic items such as jigsaws, bags and much else besides.
A great little novelty item for just over £2.50 that I am sure many people would love - and its less fattening than the real thing.
