I got my Clinique Blush Brush in a gift I got from Clinique when I boughtt 2 or more products. Clinique will often do these gifts so I tend to wait until they are doing this offer somewhere, whether it be Debenhams or Boots, until I stock up so I can get some nice free things to try out!
This brush is designed for the application of blusher on your cheeks and cheekbones. It is tapered slightly to make it more softer and easier to apply your blusher. The brush feels nice and soft and the handle feels sturdy and of good quality. The handle has a transparent plastic with silver Clinique lettering near the bottom of the brush.
The brush as a whole is just under 6 inches long and not overally bulky or hard to grip in your hands. The brush part itself is 3cm long and approx 2.5cm wide, this makes it perfect for people with smaller faces and cheeks. If have a more large face I would probably use a bigger brush for a more even application.
In my experience this brush has been great when it comes to applying my blusher. I always apply my blusher last after I've finished the rest of my make up.
Whatever brand of blusher you are using, just place one side and tip of the blusher brush onto your powder and smooth it on as you would if you were applying it, then lightly tap it to remove any excess.
The shape of this brush is great as it's very easy to just glide across my cheek bones, the tapered edges help it blend in nicely as it goes along so avoids making your blusher look patchy or streaky when it's applied, which low quality brushes can do. I've used various different types of blusher with this brush and they've all worked perfectly.
Sometimes I need to 'soften' the blusher as it may be too bright. In these cases I use to brush to gently apply some foundation powder and blend it in with the blusher on my face. It's great at blending the two together and as it's small you can be sure not to just wipe the blusher straight off.
I always wash my brush using warm soapy water. After time the brush does become more fluffier compared to the slim like appearance it starts off as, but it's still very effective when applying any make-up.
It is rather expensive at £14.68 but it is a very good quality brush, brushes from the likes of MAC can be around £20. That being said I did get mine 'free' so I don't think I would have bought it otherwise, but it does the job perfectly and it's one for the make-up bag if you're looking to invest in a decent blusher brush!
