Although I do wear face powder and/or bronzer on a daily basis I hardly EVER apply it with any kind of brush. As I often use pressed powders I find it much easier to apply them with a flat sponge as that seems to work best for me and make sure not too much goes on my face - or down my clothes. But when I found this 'Coastal Scents Pink Kabuki Brush' a few weeks ago when I was clearing out my bathroom shelf I decided to give it a go as to be honest I had never heard of the brand before and to be even more honest I have no idea how this ended up in my house!! Ive been using this on and off ever since so I thought it might be time to write about it now I can tell you a little bit more about the product.
Price: $4.99 (Im not 100% sure if this brush is available for english stores and therefore for englush pounds)
Other Info: The brush is made for a goat and sable hair blend ensuring it is soft on your skin and gives perfect application every time - the handle is pink metallic.
This brush in reality looks exactly like it does in the image - very pink and very girly. The handle is made of metal and is bright pink (and if Im totally honest SLIGHTLY too small for me) and the brush itself is made from lighter pink hairs. The brush appears very soft and I like that it is slightly fanned out - small kabuki brushes do my head in as I seem to spend ages trying to get an even application with them so I do like the fact that this one is slightly bigger. This is a very cute brush and based on style alone I would recommend it as every woman is a girly girl at heart aren't they?
Now onto using it. This brush can be used to apply face powder, bronzer of blusher and Ive just read that some people apply their foundation with this but I think that would be very difficult - for me anyway! The brush seems to work very well on pressed powder as it picks up enough on the brush to apply staight to your face without having to blow any off and seems to go on and stick on pretty well. The brush fibres are very soft and not harsh on your skin in the slightest. Ive never had a problem with my powder falling all over my clothes with this one so once the powder is on the brush you dont need to worry.
The brush handle for me is slightly too small. I find it easier to use a brush with a chunkier handle as I can get a better grip so for me that is a big issue but for others it might be just fine. This does ensure I have a full, even coverage from my powder and I reckon its probably quicker than using a make-up sponge. However Im a bit stuck in my ways make-up wise and I think Ill always end up going back to the sponge over this because overall it is much easier to use. Ill continue using this to apply my bronzer for as long as it lasts though and if you can get hold of this brush I do recommend it.
It might be a bit style of substance but when something is that pretty who really cares? :)
Thanks For Reading.

Now this is the cutest kabuki brush I've ever seen! It's got a metallic pink handle and pink synthetic hairs and is ever so soft! You can buy this brush for only 4.99 USD from Coastal Scents and their online shop.
Kabuki brushes are used to apply mineral make up and it's important to have a soft brush, especially for those with sensitive skin. I've tried a few other kabuki brushes but haven't found many good ones; the L'Oreal one is way too hard and not good quality at all and even the Prestige one is pretty bad... but this baby is awesome!
What makes this kabuki brush so great in my opinion, is it's soft, dense fibres, it's adorable colour, the fact that it's very affordable and it distributes the mineral make up effortlessly and gives great results.
I would definitely recommend this brush for anyone who likes to apply mineral make up or even other powder make up as this is so soft and lovely on the skin, for this price, you won't be disappointed.
