I'd had the same pair of tweezers for a while, and they'd started to become slightly blunt and not as accurate in plucking a single hair, so i decided to treat myself to a new pair, and came across these while browsing Amazon. A good pair of tweezers is considerably important to me as i like to neaten my eyebrows up after waxing and it's important that if there is one stray hair, that it can be plucked out neatly and quickly.
I have never heard of 'Danielle Tweezers', but they sounded really interesting, and the product description stated that the Tweezers had slanted tips and grip pads for easy and comfortable use. Before buying the tweezers i read a few reviews on the amazon site from people who had already purchased the tweezers and they were all positive so i ordered one.
These tweezers are £2.99 each with free delivery and the grip pads on the tweezers are available in a range of colours: pink, red, aqua blue, a darker blue and black, but unfortunetly there was no option for me to select my preferred choice of colour (which would of been pink), and i recieved an aqua blue one. This wasn't a big problem for me and although it's not my favourite colour it definetly doesn't effect my overall view of the product. If you would like to choose your own colour then you could perhaps email the amazon seller or buy one elsewhere - perhaps eBay.
The tweezers are silver in colour and are likely made out of a lightweight metal such as alluminum. The design is quite chunky due to the grip pads which bulk them out a bit. The tip of the tweezers is indeed slanted, so is obviously quite sharp so comes with a little transparent plastic part on the tip to ensure you don't scratch yourself when opening the package. I've thrown the plastic bit away as i personally don't like fiddling about with my tweezers; i use them and put them straight away. Although they are chunky, they are brilliantly easy to get a grip of (the grip pads really do help in my opinion and they prevent temporary indentments on the finger), and the slanted tip keeps to its promise of removing hair in just 1 pull.
These are great for the price. They do feel slightly flimsy/cheap and tacky but they do the job well. They're ideal for plucking eyebrows because of the extremely accurate slanted tip which removes single hairs with no problem, and they are comfy to hold, i know personally that if i use tweezers for around 15-20mins to do my eyebrows so it is quite important to have the grip pads as normal tweezers usually start digging into my fingers after a while, these don't and the grip pad is the best feature.
Overall reccomended. £2.99 seems a very reasonable price to me and the tweezers are very handy.
I recently went for my make up trial for my wedding in a few weeks times and whilst there she suggested having my eye brows shaped with a sugar solution, now I by no means have large bushy eyebrows at all they are naturally quite neat and I have never plucked them, but there were one or 2 stray hairs that she suggested removing to, as she put it, lift my eye area so I decided to give it a go. I was pleased with the result and decided to buy myself some tweezers to help keep them in shape. I do have a really old pair which are now a bit bent out of shape so a nice new pair was certainly needed. I had a quick look online one day as I wanted something a bit different to the plain metal ones sold in the shop and I came across the Danielle Tweezers on Amazon, reasonably cheap and ideal for what I needed.
The Danielle Tweezers are slightly larger than other tweezers I have brought from the shops in the past, the bottom part of the tweezers are made up of what looks like 2 prongs which join together at the bottom, these go straight up parallel to each other and join up in the middle of the tweezers to form an oval shape which has an easy grip pad attached either side. The easy grip pads are made from a rubber type material, the shape and size of these pads are just right to fit your fingers onto, the rubber material means that your fingers do not slip off the tweezers whilst using them, this is very useful if you are using them in the bathroom. The easy grip pads come in 6 different colours, these include blue, turquoise, black, red, lilac and pale pink meaning there is a pair of tweezers to suit everyone.
The Danielle tweezers have slanted and aligned tips, they look almost like small blades on the end of them, however they are not sharp at all, the angle of the tips allows you to grab even tiny hairs and easily remove them. I have purchased tweezers in the past that when you squeeze them together to pick up a hair they do not actually meet up properly meaning you are unable to grab the hair, there is none of this with the Danielle tweezers, the tips join together perfectly so no hair is missed. The tips on the Danielle Tweezers are quite thin, again I feel that this helps to remove unwanted hairs more easily, I have tried tweezers with thicker tips before but gave up with them as I found it too time consuming attempting to get hold of the hair, this is probably why I have never really bothered with shaping my eye brows before. However the thin tips of these tweezers makes removing the hairs very quick, one side of the thin blade shaped tip slides under the hair and the tip which is perfectly aligned with the first allows you to grab the hair and swiftly and almost painlessly remove it.
The only thing I would say about my Danielle Tweezers is that they did not come in a case of any sort just the packaging that they were posted in, this may have been useful especially when keeping them in the bathroom to prevent them getting wet and rusty. However despite the lack of case they did come with a small protective cap to put over the tips of the tweezers, this is just made from a clear plastic and helps to keep the tips together when not in use and protects them from becoming bent, the cap stops them from moving around meaning that they do not get bent out of shape.
I purchased my Danielle Tweezers online from Amazon and they cost me £2.99 for one pair, personally I think this is a pretty good price and standard for this type of product. I could have brought plain metal tweezers from any local chemist or supermarket but was attracted to these as they are a little bit different with their coloured grip pad, I have to admit I was drawn to the pink pair I had to have them, they look so much nicer than plain metal ones. I wondered whether they would be of a very good quality especially as I could not have a look at them before I purchased them, however they have proved to be of an excellent quality. They were definitely worth the money and were made to a high quality standard.
I would definitely recommend the Danielle Tweezers since having mine they have helped me to keep my eyebrows in shape, they are so easy to use and there is no fiddling around trying to grab the hair before pulling it out, the thin angled tips makes the job quick and easy. The grip pad is an added bonus as it means I can use the tweezers to do my eye brows when in the bath, the rubber pad means I can still grip the tweezers with wet hands without them slipping probably resulting me stabbing myself with them. The Danielle Tweezers are also sold at an excellent price especially considering they are of such a good quality. I would definitely urge people to give these a go before buying the regular plain metal tweezers they really are worth it.
A good pair of tweezers for me is very important. Ive tried waxing, gone through the pure agony of threading and a million other eyebrow hair removal options but I l always come back to plucking. I can do that at home and Ive been doing it for so long now that it takes about 5 minutes and doesnt hurt so for that reason I need a decent pair of tweezers. I had a Hugo Boss pair for quite a while that were amazing but a few weeks ago they had become so blunt that they simply didnt work as well as they used to so I had to search for another pair that were hopefully just as good. After a quick search on amazon I found these 'Danielle Tweezers' which seemed to have some really positive reviews so I thought Id try them out for myself. I can safely say these have been a brilliant new pair of pluckers so far!!
Price: I paid £2.99
Stockists: I can only find these on amazon at the moment - but I assume they must be available in some high street stores.
Other Info: These tweezers have slanted tips which is said to make grabbing the hairs easier and promises to remove the hair with just one pull EVERY time. These also have some grip pads to make holding and using them much easier - and they wont give you that horrible grove on your hand if you are plucking for a long time.
*As you can see from the image with this review the grip pads on these tweezers come in a variety of colours - sadly on amazon you dont get to chose the colour, you get what your given. Thats not a problem for me but some people might like to have a colour option. The tweezers I own have the sea green coloured grips - whereas I probably would have preffered pink but thats not a huge problem!*
The overall look of these tweezers is pretty ordinary in my opinion - apart from the added grips as I dont think many tweezers have that added feature. They are actually quite a bit thicker than others Ive used - I used to using very slim ones - they are silver in colour and randomly have a hole in either side just below the grips - I dont think those holes serve any purpose but I guess it makes them a little more lightweight and maybe easier to hold. Just above the holes are the cushioned grips which are placed just where your fingers would be when you are plucking - I love the fact these have those grips because they certainly make them easier to hold for long periods of time and you dont get that grove on your finger when you have been holding them for a long time - the grips are definitely one of the main reasons I bought these and one of the main reasons I would recommend them to others. They really are a great added feature.
The top of these tweezers are very angled and slightly rounded - which again isnt something Im used to as tweezers Ive used in the past have been very square and not angled at the top and before I used these I never though having the tops angled would help at all. But Ive been proven wrong since Ive started using these. The angled edges make grabbing single hairs SO much easier and you do grab and remove the hair every single time with these. Im always nicking my skin when Im plucking my eyebrows but since Ive started using this I havent had that problem at all - the angled tops really do make all the difference as they are just so precise and it really does like up to the 'grabbing the hair everytime' claim. I assumed that because these were quite cheap they would either - look cheap or not work as well as the company claims. However I dont think these look cheap at all and they work better than some of the more expensive tweezers Ive tried over the years - in fact I think these might be the most effective and probably best looking tweezers Ive ever owned.
I think these tweezers are amazing and my eyebrows have never looked so good - there isnt a stray hair in sight so my brows look shaped and the hairs even seem to take longer to grow back - maybe these help to take the roots out as well!! These are quite possibly the best tweezers Ive ever used - they are simple, the grips make sure plucking is comfy on your fingers, I havent nicked my skin since Ive started using them and they are cheap yet amazing quality. If your looking for a new way to remove those pesky stray hairs then this could be the answer - Ill never be going back to another brand!!
