E.L.F Total Face Brush
Disadvantages: Not a 'total' face brush as its called
Just recently I have stocked up on alot of new Elf products. I often browse this online cosmetic shop and actually do own many of their products but up until recently I didn't own any of their make up brushes.
I already own two great collections of brushes so didn't see the point in buying more really. That was until though I received an email from Elf giving me not only 50% off anything from the website but also free postage and packaging (which incidentally is only £3.50 no matter the amount of items you order!) so as I already own a large quantity of make-up already I thought I may as well get some new brushes and I'd get round to using them eventually!
Now this face brush from Elf is on sale at £1.50, though like I have said I had a half price deal at the time so this only cost me 75p! It is meant to be used on all of the face. Being called 'Total' you assume its for applying anything on the face of course but it doesn't quite mean that....read review if interested as to why!
The Brush Itself:
The brush comes in a long transparent plastic case which is great to store it in of course . The brush is quite long, about 8 inches by my estimate, reasonably thick and white in colour with elf Total face Brush written down one side of it. The brush/bristles are a dark rich brown colour and smooth and very well attached to the handle via a bright and shiny silver section so the whole thing looks really tidy and nice!
The brush head is quite large and as I have previously mentioned rather thick. Its very soft and I haven't found this brush to malt or do anything adverse at all. I use mine to apply powders such as foundation, loose/pressed powder, bronzer and blushers and its great at picking up powder until I choose to apply it to my face without letting it fly everywhere. It kind of grips hold of the powder till your ready to apply it and because the middle section of the brush is slightly tapered and sheared in appearance its a great tool for blending with and giving a flawless and natural finish. I actually like using this brush as its so easy, it fits in my hand perfectly without my hand slipping and sliding everywhere and feels nice on my skin.
To keep this tool clean is simple. I wash mine out with a mild shampoo once a week and let it dry naturally and its kept its natural colour (the brush head) and kept in great condition too. This though is no good for using to apply eyeshadow with, not that I was expecting it to be as the brush head is so large so this really is for larger areas of skin you want to apply make up to!
This is a brilliant buy for £1.50, full of good quality looks great and is simple to use.
Only available from elf.com
Summary: A great tool I use all the time now when applying my make up!
