Advantages: It works very well and is very secure

Disadvantages: Red marks on my skin

I have read many articles about celebrities who have / do use body tape (or 'tit tape', to use the slightly more vulgar term) but I never thought I would personally have the need to use the stuff myself. That is until I was invited to a friend's 40th birthday bash recently and although I had eventually found the perfect dress, I just couldn't find a bra I was happy with.

The dress was a strapless affair, low cut, and the front part is shaped rather unusually so that any and every bra I tried on just looked 'wrong' somehow. Either the bra was showing too much or if it wasn't showing under the dress, then it just wasn't perking my boobies up sufficiently. This went on for some weeks until eventually I was starting to panic thinking I'd have to either look for a different dress, go braless or just show off my underwear on the night!

I was moaning to a friend about my predicament when she suggested Eyelure Body Tape. At first I admit I wasn't to keen on the idea - I don't even like to use plasters for goodness sake, I hate the feel of them on my body, especially when it comes to removing them afterwards - yuk! I just hate the way they make my skin feel as I peel them off - it send shivers down my spine.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I went to Boots and bought myself a box of Eyelure Body Tape for £4.75. The box contained 27 pre-cut strips, some of which were curved and some were rectangular. I liked the fact that they were already pre cut as it meant I didn't have to mess about with scissors.

I followed the instructions to the letter, ensuring my body was oil free and completely dry - no talc or perfume either, ladies, or the stick just won't stick properly and you'll embarrass yourself if your dress falls down mid-dance.

The strips are double sided and are very very strong - I was very impressed at how sticky they actually were. It took a bit of practice before the big night, and I spent a long time beforehand sticking the bits to my boobies and the other side to my dress, ensuring I got the look 'just right' so that I wouldn't need to spend too long on the actual night of the birthday party.

As I say, it took a few trial goes but eventually I got it right and on the night I was very impressed that I was able to go bra-less but my boobies were perfectly pert and the dress moulded around them great without a sign of a bra peeking out!

I received many compliments that night and I was very pleased and happy with the overall look. The tape was fairly comfortable throughout the whole of the evening and once I had had a couple of glasses of wine I was even able to forget I was wearing it and was able to relax.

When I got home that evening I still found it a bit uncomfortable having to remove the tape - not because it was painful, but just because I have a bit of a 'thing' about sticky stuff on my skin. The tape left a few red marks where it had stuck to my skin but it wasn't sore and didn't irritate me at all.

I can really recommend Eyelure Body Tape. I have even used it since to keep my hold up stockings in place. The elastic was starting to go at the top of a pair I had and I had no clean tights for work. I simply affixed a few strips to the front and the back of the tops of both stockings and they stayed up all day - no bother at all.

I really do recommend this product. It does what it says on the box. It strong, and reliable and very discreet but I still refuse to call it 'tit tape', as it just sounds wrong, and anyway, it's not just for boobies!

Summary: Overall a wonderfully useful product
