Advantages: fab glue
Disadvantages: shape and size
I spotted these eyelashes when I was shopping for a new mascara in Superdrug, they were right by the till and a pure impulse buy. The only things I needed to know was that they were endorsed by Cheryl Cole who has a fab beauty regime (even though she has a makeup artist, cheat! Haha) and that they were made by Eylure.
In the past when I have bought false eyelashes I have always bought a tube of Eylure glue as I have found that this is the only glue that actually works effectively and doesn't turn up at the corners like other glues seem to do.
The look of the eyelashes are very deep black which really makes them stand out against your real eyelashes, the fake eyelash hairs are very close together making them appear thick, they are also curly which really opens up the eye and makes them look like they've been curled with an eyelash curler. Cheryl Cole claims that she loves the 'glossy' look that these eyelashes possess but I disagree, I think the gloss makes them look fake and I tend to prefer more natural looking eyelashes.
The shape of the eyelashes are very unoriginal, unlike others in the Girls Aloud collection, as they are the same size all the way around, I don't like this look as they look spider-like and are hardly to apply! I prefer eyelashes which are longer at the outer edge of the eye as these look more real, although these ones do have extra length at the end you cannot see the effect of this once you have secured them into place.
You can add mascara and curl these eyelashes but if you do you probably won't be able to reuse them as the mascara dries and turns clumpy and hard, so id advice against applying mascara.
When I was applying these lashes it was quite easy as the glue is strong however, given the shape of these lashes, bending them around the root of the eyelashes was a bit of a struggle. But as previously stated I have nothing but praise for the Eylure glue which comes with the eyelashes. What I found particularly surprising is removing these eyelashes is relatively pain free which is always a plus.
The price I paid was £5.00 and I have used these eyelashes twice which is very reasonable as they do tend to last and not peel off on nights out which is rare for false eyelashes.
I wouldn't really recommend these eyelashes I'd opt for Eylure's naturalites or individual lashes for the more 'real'look.
