As I am a fond car boot buyer, I saw this make-up brush in a car boot sale and it had hardly had been used and it was only 50p! As I tend to use my fingers while blending in foundation, I was thinking if buying a foundation brush does a better job than blending make-up in with fingers.
I like the texture of the brush, the brush was very soft so it gave a nice feeling while applying the foundation, there was no roughness, and also the grip of the brush is very good so there's no loose grip while applying foundation - nice job!
A good thing about this brush is that you don't have to use much make-up to blend in the foundation, but it does leave lines from the brush if you don't apply carefully, but you may need to use your hands/fingers to blend the remaining foundation and hide the lines!
It does look plain, boring but the style of brush doesn't matter it how well it does the job!
However the foundation will dry on the end of the brush and if you are using a different color foundation to your normal one, make sure you wash the brush otherwise it can leave a dirty looking mark - not attractive. But even after washing the brush the end still stays soft and smooth.
This brush is only sold in superdrug stores in the Gosh range and it is sold approx five pounds - it's actually a good buy if you read the comments!
Sadly, i have lost this brush somewhere and I will buy this brush again, but I don't think I will find as cheap as in a car boot, but I do intend to buy this at full price as the brush is nice and does a really good job!
I applyed my foundation with this brush while wet because i always feel it gives a more natural look.it makes foundation go on more evenly than if i did it with my hand. the brush makes it simpler to layer your foundation without it appearing caked on .
more about the product.
this brush is quite thick so its much easier to apply foundation compared with other foundation brushes .the handle isnt bulky either so its good to handle. quite stiff so that it gives a more polished appearance to skin.
the handle is long with gosh professional art on the side. brush head is neat and has a lot of bristles in it.
makes foundation easier to apply
doesnt use a lot of foundation
pretty and looks expensive
easy to wash
worth the money
i have noticed that while using it it doesnt go round the eyes very well but all i do is rub in foundation near my eyes with my fingers .
where to buy
****Gosh Foundation Brush****
**About the brand**
Gosh is a brand that is exclusive to Superdrug in the UK or if you live pretty much anywhere else it can be bought on-line at gosh.com. Gosh is made by the same company that makes mac that in turn also makes Estee Lauder.
**Design and use**
One thing i like about this range is that the packaging is very minimal. All the brushes in this range seem to match up with a mac brush. This brush looks quite smart and is a black colour. This looks exactly like my mac 188 brush but a little bigger. I have found that this works well with both liquid and powder foundation.
One bad thing about this brush is that it does shed a little bit when you wash it. It may look like the mac brush but i do not think that it is quite as soft.It has a flat top to it.
This brush is very versatile and works with liquid and powder foundation. It can also be used to apply blusher and works almost as well as a kabuki for this.
**Price and where to get**
I picked this up when Superdrug had a 3 for 2 offer on. It was about £9 which i think is a great price considering that the quality of the brush is really good.
I would recommend this as a cheaper alternative to mac. This is currently priced at £9.99 - not a bad price increase over 5 years.
