I am an eyebrow fanatic. I love big, bold brows. I think that a good brow can really shape a face and so looking after mine is very important to me, and there is only one pair of tweezers that I trust with my bows- the HD Brows Precision Tweezers. I received mine in a Glossybox and gawked at the RRP on the card that came with them. £19.96 seemed a little (a lot) steep for a pair of tweezers but after trying them and using them for way over a year now, I completely take that back. They are worth every single penny. The sleek matte black design with white writing and silver tips looks super luxurious. The grabby bit of the Tweezers are squared off making it really easy to grip hairs and pull them out. I find with some pointy tweezers, this can be quite tricky, but these are great for that. They pull hairs out, even the deep seated ones and are pretty painless in doing so. They feel comfortable to hold and don't move around in your hands. They are really quick to use and very precise allowing you to shape your brows exactly how you want them. I would never be without these tweezers, pricey or not.
I received these HD Brows tweezers in a recent beauty box and prior to that, I'd only ever used tweezers that came as part of a manicure set. When I received these tweezers, I looked at the price and was astounded - £20 for a set of tweezers? There's no way I would pay that much! However, after trying these out just once, I was blown away. I know - how can someone be blown away by tweezers? Well, these grip like a child to a lollypop. They grab the tiniest little hairs and just yank them straight out. They have pointed precision tips which meet perfectly, allowing you to catch each hair individually rather than whole clumps and they're a nice matt black colour. After years of using tweezers that have tips that don't meet perfectly, I am hooked and wouldn't hesitate on buying these again were I to lose them. Whilst I admit that nothing makes plucking eyebrows pleasurable, these HD Brows tweezers certainly make it a lot faster and less painful (probably due to the lack of clump-grabbing!). Girls - if you don't have these already, go out and buy them! As I mentioned, I got mine in a subscriber beauty box but looking at the internet, these are sold mainly to professionals but can be found for around the £20 mark from various auction sites.
I received a pair of these tweezers a couple of months ago in a beauty box I subscribe to. I am a regular tweezer user, I'm lucky that my eyebrows have a good natural shape and usually just need tidying up, but it still seems like I have to remove quite a few hairs when doing the painfull job! I have bought quite a few pairs of tweezers in my time, I've lost them, damaged a pair in my travel bag and just bought useless ones which made the task even more fiddly and painful. Needless to say, they were all cheap tweezers, I don't think I've ever spent more than about £5. As I said, these were actually included in my monthly Glossybox. I pay £12.95 for the box which usually contains five products (mostly sample or mini sized). These tweezers have a rrp of £19.95 so to me they were quite a bargain. They came in a smart black box with 'HD precision' written on the front and a summary of the product and directions for use on the back. The tweezers themselves look great in matt black, the very tips are silver, the coating ends to ensure the tip is as thin as possible and the 'HD Brows' branding is in white near the flatter end where the two sides of the tweezer join. They look very sleek, well finished and expensive. Obviously these are used in exactly the same way as any other tweezer, but they do need a lot less pressure than on my cheap tweezers and the matt coating means they don't get slippy, I usually run them under a hot water tap as I'm tweezing to wash any removed hairs away. The tip of the HD is almost razor sharp and quite thin, about 2mm wide so you can easily see around it to the area you are working on. Just be careful around short hairs as although they grab them easily, if you do catch your skin the tweezers will remove that too! They easily remove the hair first time making the whole process much less painful and leaving my eyes much less red and puffy! I would definitely recommend these tweezers even at their rrp, they are easy to use, save time and pain, well worth the money!
This is a review of HD Brows Precision Tweezers that I was lucky to receive in a beauty box recently. Packaging The tweezers are packaged in a cardboard box and inside they are black with the HD Brows logo on the side. The claim The box says: refine your brows with these high precision tweezers. A specially designed slanted tip and fine point are perfect for gripping even the shortest of hairs. With its sleek, slim line black finish, HD brows precision tweezers are a must for any brow perfectionist. In use These tweezers work well in use with a good light and mirror. They are thinner at the tip than other tweezers I have used so they do let you get right in there and are more exacting where you aim them. I like to just do a bit at a time though to ensure I don't get carried away when tweezing. As I have been having my brows threaded for a couple of years it tends to be just tidying up in between that I use tweezers for. My thoughts I have used tweezerman tweezers in the past to good effect and also had a pair with a light built in that I still use and like. These HD brows are without doubt the best tweezers I have ever used and the name HD Brows is very popular and known for their expertise in the brow department. Price paid I got these in a subscription box so they worked out a fraction of the price but to buy new they are £19.96 which is quite expensive but these are brilliant tweezers! Final word These are great tweezers but they do come at quite a price. I was thrilled to receive these in my beauty box and can really recommend them as the best performing tweezers I have ever used. I keep mine in the bedside drawer as I am afraid they may get lost if I put them in my handbag. That and get used as a multi tool for fixing broken printers and pulling out jammed items! I think HD Brows really do live up to their reputation of making high quality products and if you think you can buy one pair that will last for the rest of your life then go for it!
