“ Brand: HoMedics / Suitable for: Foot / What it does: Rejuvenates / Type: Foot Spa „
Whilst I was doing my christmas shopping recently on Amazon, I came across the Homedics Champneys CHBB-3-3GB Foot Spa. I thought I would buy it for myself as I had wanted a foot spa for sometime, and at just £29.99, it was quite a bargain.
The foot spa unit itself is a gray and white one, with a clip on cover at the top to prevent spills and this part also has the infrared massage section on it. Inside the foot part of the spa unit, there is 4 "rollers" which are called the moving pedicure system. There is a large button near the back of the unit which you use to turn on the unit, and also change the setting on it.
Upon opening the box, I was surprised that unit is actually a lot lighter than I thought it was going to be. It is about the same size as most foot spas I have seen. I think it is quite a stylish style of a foot spa, and it goes quite well with the decor in my house lol!
There is a fill level inside the foot section of the unit, so that you know exactly how much water to put into the unit. I fill up to the line with slightly hot water, as the heat setting on the unit will keep the water at quite a good temperature. The unit turns on instantly when you press the button, and it is so sensitive, you can turn it on with just a gentle touch of your toe.
There is two settings on the unit - heat and massage and heat, massage and bubbles. I prefer to use the bubbles setting as this to me is even more relaxing than just the heat and massage. To use the "moving pedicure" system, you just have to roll your feet back and forth over the rollers, and this adds an extra massage to your feet. This does feel nice, but can be too much effort when you just want to relax and let the foot spa do it's work.
The infrared massage unit on the top of the foot spa turns on with a strong push of your foot, and it does provide a nice massage for your feet, but you can only place one foot on top of it at a time, as it is just big enough for one foot. The bubbles and massage of the foot spa are brilliant, and my feet always feel great and relaxed when I use this. It is brilliant to use after a long day at work, or a big shopping trip.
The power cord on the unit is a good length, so you do not need to worry about getting water near a power source. The cord also has an attached clip so you can tidy the cord away when the foot spa is not being used. This also saves the cord from getting damaged at any point.
There is a pouring spout on the front of the foot spa, so you can easily empty out the water when you are done with it. I regualrly pop a small drop of essential oils into the water to make my feet smell great and help to add to the whole relaxtion.
The only problem I do have with this foot spa is the fact it is in no way "super quiet" even though this is stated on the box and on the website I bought it from. It isn't majorly loud, but it is very noticeable that it is on, and you will have to turn up the TV if you are watching it whilst you have your feet in the spa. For this reason I have given the foot spa a 4 out of 5 stars.
All in all, this foot spa is wonderful and I am very happy I bought it. I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you have a job which demands you to be on your feet all day. If you do not have a foot spa system, I recommend that you get this Homedics Champneys one, it does a wonderful job at relaxing you and your feet.
I bought mine from Amazon.co.uk for £29.99 and after some research this is the best price I have seen for this foot spa. In relation to many other foot spas, this is a very good price and as it comes with a 2 year guarentee, you have nothing to worry about. Get yourself one of these now, and prepare for a wonderful amount of relaxtion.
