      Ideal for powder foundations, but as a liquid girl myself, this is limiting.

      This Jemma Kidd flat top foundation brush was new to me - I had seen no similar brush on the market. It looks quite odd itself, but works extremely well particularly with loose powder /mineral foundations - perfect for buffing on to the skin.

      If you have read any of my other Jemma Kidd make up brush reviews, you'll have noted I don't particularly like the casing of this range. The hot pink and black, to me, looks very teen - focused. It holds well though, with a muted, grippable handle. I'd prefer a sleeker looking product though I'm sure most girls will love the colour combination.

      The brush head itself is quite stout and very angular. It has a perfectly flat top to allow for precise application of powder.

      The bristles are very soft and gentle on the skin, despite being strong and durable. I had no problem with any bristles coming lose and / or falling out, highlighting the quality of the brush.

      The angular brush has a level top which allows you to get into the corners and angles of the face with a firm pressure. On areas such as around the nose and eye socket, the square brush really has an effect. In comparison with a rounder brush, the square shape creates a consistently firmer pressure on the skin.

      The brush is definitely for powder products only. Liquid foundation would sink into the roos of the bristles and clump them together. The brush lifts a nice amount - not too much, not too little - and easily drops excess powder with a slight nudge. It blends easily and feels soft but firm upon the skin.

      * Ideal for powder foundations and setting powder application
      * Looks quite young - perfect for teens
      * Fairly expensive
