Advantages: Works well, soft and mositurising, smells great, effective

Disadvantages: None that I have found

If you read my review yesterday you will have read that I have become a fan of the Jessica Nail care product range. I have been taking better care of my nails for a while now and when I was talking to a friend she said that a Nail Technician had said you have to start looking after the nail itself before painting over it and whilst I dismissed the comment at first, it did actually ring true as I have brought cuticle care products in the past and been all enthusiastic but then after a week or so I have not bothered to keep it up but having fallen for the Jessica polishes I looked to see what they offered in the shape of nail care and purchased the Jessica Phenomen Oil.

The Phenomen oil is a product of the Jessica range and whilst it can be found in most beauty salons it is also readily available on line. You can get it from the Jessica website which is www.jessicabeauty.com or you can buy it from places like EBay or Amazon. The bottle that I have is the smaller 7.4ml and this will cost you around the £6.00 to £6.50 mark but there is also a larger 14.8 ml bottle and this will cost you about £10.50 to £11.00.

The oil comes packaged in a lovely looking elegant box, similar in design to the Quick Dry oil that I reviewed yesterday. There is the Jessica logo on the front as well as the name of the product and the words Intensive Moisturiser. The colours are all creams and blacks. On the reverse of the box is a breakdown of the ingredients that have been used in the product, these include almond oil, joba oil and seed oil. There is also a description of the product, this being that it can 'rehydrate the skin around nails, even knees and elbows, wherever dryness demands refreshing' A phenomenal treat for nails! Hence the name!

The bottle itself is a cloudy glass one and you can see the yellow looking oil through it. To get the oil out there is a pipette style dispenser, you squeeze it to draw the oil out and then drip the oil onto the area. You really do need the smallest amount and it will just rub in really well. It is instantly moisturising and the results are fantastic!

The oil works by sinking into skin, I used it on my cuticles and then on the dry parts of my elbows and the results was noticeable in a week! A little will treat a large area and once used on my cuticles I will rub it into the rest of my hands to let it absorb that way. The smell is just like a sweet shop! The almond oil is the scent I think as the fragrance is really sweet but it goes almost as soon as it is rubbed into any area. What I liked was that this product really does work, you find that you are not just applying it for the sake of applying it but that you know that it has some excellent results.

In summary, I have every reason to recommend this. It is a great purchase and works so well.

5 out of 5 from me
