I have just discovered an amazing beauty product that I can now no longer live without.

If, like me, you suffer from rough bits of skin on your feet then the Ped Egg is definitely for you. I have used regular foot files before but nothing really seems to get rid of the skin forever but this product is different. The Ped Egg is manufactured by JML and can also been found for sale on the television like all of the JML product ranges.

The Ped Egg is described by the manufacturer as "a revolutionary foot file that is precision engineered with over 135 stainless steel micro fibres. It gently removes calluses and dead skin to give your feet the incredible baby soft look and feel everybody loves." The stainless steel micro fibres to me basically look like a cheese grater. When you rub the file over your feet it does not hurt though or is not rough on your skin. If anything, it tickles just a little bit but it does take away the skin without any pain.

The file itself is housed in an egg shape plastic shell. The file fits in one side which you can then place in your hand to help you to move the file over your feet. It is shaped like an egg because apparently it is ergonomically designed to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand for easy and convenient use. What's great is that the side it fits into then catches all the dead skin, unlike most foot files where it just goes onto the floor, and then once you have collected it up after using it you can just throw the shavings into the bin, no mess, it's great. The other side of the Ped Egg has a lid so you can cover up the file when not in use so you do not risk catching it when it is stored away.

The Ped Egg also comes with two Emery boards which stick to the outside of the egg to allow you to rub them over your feet and finish off the look after you have used the egg. I think it just gives a nice smooth finish to your feet.

I bought my Ped Egg from Boots and it cost £9.99 which I think is quite a bargain because I think this product will last forever due to the fact that the file is made out of stainless steel. The one I bought was pink which I think is quite cute looking but you can get white ones too if you are a man or just don't like the colour pink! They do have a version with a handle on the end which costs £14.99 but I think this product is so easy to hold that you don't need a handle.

I was quite amazed at how well this product works. It really gets off all the hard skin without hurting and it stays away too. Generally I have found in the past then when I have used files the hard skin comes back the next day but after a few days use my feet are still lovely and smooth and I only need to touch up now and again. A great product and one I definitely recommend.
