Advantages: Works well

Disadvantages: Mesy to use and skin always gets trapped in the main compartment which flies out when you reopen it

Have you heard the hype of the Ped Egg? Retailing at about £10.00 per 'Egg' not only did I keep seeing them round and about, usually on offer for a couple of quid to my surprise my Mother (who is well tight lol) treated herself to one and my best mate actually used up a text telling me she'd bought one and it was amazing. I did toy with the idea of using my Mums but after seeing her empty her egg full of brown coloured dust off her feet one night I quickly decided not to bother and to dip into my purse. I purchased mine on a market for a quid and it seemed like a bargain!

The Packaging:

Well basically there is a cardboard backing in a see through plastic cover it and the egg of course is inside. Basically I'm told what it is and I'm told how amazing it should be and how to use it and contact details for JML are given.

About The Ped Egg:

Well in a nutshell I'm told this is ergonomically designed to fit perfectly into the palm of my hand for easy and convenient use. Ped Egg is meant to collect all the skin shavings in a convenient storage compartment, allowing me to use it anywhere with no mess and that emery pads are also included to buff my way to a baby-soft finish and that it is precision engineered with 135 stainless steel micro files to gently remove calluses and dead skin and basically it's great on dry, cracked skin (which is why I bought it..cos I have that and it's not pretty).

The Ped Egg:

Well I was disappointed when I got it out of the pack. I mean I'd read how nicely it was designed but basically it's a bit of cheap feeling plastic and not what I expected at all. So in appearance yes it's a good handy size and shape. It's white (plastic as I have said) and oval in shape and palm size. as promised On the top of it in sky blue writing I'm told it is Ped Egg Professional and there's a little foot picture on there. Now the top pulls off and that is the bit you use as it looks like a stainless steel cheese grater with decent sized rough holes. This part fits very well into the hand indeed. The base part is just a protection for the grater and fits very well.

Does it work? Well yes it does. It doesn't hurt to use it and just gently use it as a cheese grater on hard skin! it's a breeze to use and I find I can rub quite hard and yep I can't moan as it works for me. However cleaning it out is slightly annoying. After each use I do empty mine (skin is stored behind the grater plate in a compartment) by shaking it into the dustbin and I'm always really shocked at how much skin dust in removed! However every time I pick it up to reuse it skin is always left in the base and flies everywhere so it doesn't feel particularly clean and even when using it little bits of powdered skin do come out no matter how careful I am with it.

Verdict:

Yes I'm pleased that it works but I have tried better products than this in the past that have a more quality feel to them to be honest. Yes my feet are left smooth and it does remove skin and if you see it cheap I advise you to give it a go and make your own mind up about it but not at the full retail price!

Summary: I wouldn't touch this cheap feeling product for £10.00
