Advantages: Removes dead Skin, Ergonomically Designed

Disadvantages: Retail Price, Slightly plasticy

The Ped Egg aka The Cheese Grater for your feet, I kept seeing them around in Boots and the adverts on tv, I finally decided to take a chance on one, off a stall outside my local Boots for £3. They retail in Boots for £9.99 but obviously you can get them cheaper off markets etc, for as little as a £1. My only worry was my feet were going to turn out a mess but to be honest they couldn't get any worse.

***The Packaging***
There is a see through plastic pack with a peice of cardboard on the back, which explains what it is, what it does and has the contact details for JML, the makers. In front of the cardboard is the egg. You used to only be able to get them in white but I have heard that they are now in pink as well.

***What is it?***
The Ped Egg is basically a cheese grater for your feet, my boyfriend thought it was for the cheese. It is ergonomically designed on the top to fit perfectly into the palm of your hand to make it easy and comfortable to use. There is a special compartment which collects all the skin shavings off your feet (not a nice thought but better than going everywhere!), which then can be conveniently emptied into the bin creating no mess. There are 135 stainless steel mico files which remove calluses and gently get rid of dead dry skin. Also, there is an inbuilt emery board which buffs away at your feet to give a smooth soft finish.

***My Experience***
Well I wouldn't have wanted to pay £10 for it. When I got it out, it just looked slightly cheap, but it does fit nicely in your palm - no complaints there then. There is a top bit that covers the files to protect you I suppose but apparently it is so soft it wouldn't burst a balloon, I'll let you try that one!
It all fits together quite well and the files have quite big holes to catch the shavings.
I have to say it really doesn't hurt at all, how ever hard I press or rub, it removes the majority of my rough dry skin on my feet and they are left soft.
My only whine is cleaning it out, although it is easy to empty, I always find litle bits of skin left in it (nice, I know), even after shaking it out over the bin. When I use it next, I find little bits of powdered skin escapes, which is slightly annoying.

Overall, I am happy with it, it does leave my feet soft, I have tried other products before that have done the same effect thoughbut are better quality. I wouldn't pay full retail price for it, as I just think you can buy better stuff for a tenner, I suppose if you spot it going cheap, I would say have a go, you haven't got much to loose apart from your skin.

Summary: Nothing to loose but your skin.
