Advantages: Makes feet very slightly smooth
Disadvantages: Takes a lot of effort, gave me a really sore hand, gave poor results
I have always had really dry rough skin on my feet and ive found that foot creams havent been really effective for me in general.
In saying that now, i havent tried all the foot creams in the world so some of them might work better than others.
I have seen the JML Ped Egg advertised for months and was sucked in to the advertising of it and decided if i could get one cheap enough then i would buy one.
They retail at around £10 from most good chemists but you can imagine my glee when i saw them being sold in my local market for just £3 each! I thought that was a total bargain and couldnt wait to try it out.
When i got home i took it out of the packet (with great difficulty as the plastic of the packet was moulded together so i had to end up hacking it open with a knife!)
JML promise that the Ped Egg will give professional looking pedicure results. When i started using it, i actually thought the blade was completely blunt.
It didnt seem sharp at all and when i rubbed it on the soles of my feet, i had to rub really hard for about twenty minutes to make any difference at all!
My feet felt very slightly smooth afterwards but there was no drastic improvement. I have been using this for a few weeks now and i have to say that i am a bit disappointed with it.
I was expecting big things from it and dramatic results but i dont think it has lived up to its claims and is nowhere near a "professional pedicure".
The shape of the Ped Egg was very good as it fitted really well in my hand when i was using it but i suppose that isnt very important when i still felt quite hard skin on my feet after using it and had a really sore hand into the bargain.
I hope that if i use this for a few months that it will show better results but from what i have seen so far, i think this product is a bit of a gimmicky con. I might end up throwing it in the bin!
Summary: Fit for the bin

- 01/11/09 This works very well for me. Try using it after a bath or shower when your feet are still soft - this gets loads more skin off and doesn't fall into a powder like it does when your feet are dry. |

- 01/11/09 I was wondering whether to get this for someone for Christmas as he's always complaining about dry skin on his feet. Now you have saved me £10. Cheers! |
