We've all recently suffered from colds in this house. We normally just make do with using toilet paper to wipe our noses with but after a particularly bad spell of colds i decided to push the boat out and treat us to some tissues!
i chose these ones because they said they were ultra soft and because I was feeling sorry for myself I wanted nothing more than something comforting on my sore nose!
These come in a rectangular box with a floral pattern on. You open up the box using an opening at the top and the tissues dispense one at a time. They are white and they feel so soft to touch you just know right away that they are going to be very comforting!
When using these I notice their softness against my skin and the best thing about them is that they may well be soft but they are also very strong too. Yes they will rip if you pull them, but they're not likely to rip if you catch your nail on them. They are absorbent too- many a spillage from the children's juice cups have been mopped up with these too!
They are really lovely tissues to have which is what you want when you have a cold! I now keep a box of these in teh cupboard for next time the runny noses start as they are much kinder than using toilet roll.
I highly recommend these as do my nose! Five out of five!
~ Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues ~
I seem to suffer from a runny nose all year around, whether it be due to hayfever, colds or anything else so I tend to go through lots of tissues. I usually buy what ever is on offer at the time but sometimes when my nose is really sore, usually more so in the winter months, I will opt to buy these ultra soft tissues as I think they are a lot more gentle than regular tissues. They stop my nose from getting so red and sore which is a great thing.
These come in a nice large box with a little pop out oval in the top for the easy removal of each tissue.
Each tissue is a decent size and doesn't break apart at first use either.
The nice box design means that they don't have to be hidden away either and can just be popped on the side ready for use. Another thing I like about these is that they don't all clump together and one tissue can be removed at a time. They are also good for the kids too as they are nice and soft.
I usually pick these up in the supermarket and they cost around £2 a box which I think is a good price for around 80 tissues, and they are great quality and a good size.
They are also handy for wiping off make up too, just used a little bit of make up remover on the tissue and wipe it over the face, they are nice and absorbent so will remove the make up.
I would recommend these.

Like clockwork, I come down with a cold at the start of every university term; I guess it's the shift to living with a large group of people that tests my immune system! I therefore rely on a steady supply of tissues. I don't tend to buy a particular brand, but whatever is available at the time, and as these were on offer in Sainsbury's, I thought I'd try them. I think they ordinarily retail for about £1.99, but I got them for half price.
The packaging promises ultra-soft, and this is indeed what I get. This is perfect, as I find when I have a really bad cold, my nose can get quite sore from blowing it so often, but this has not been an issue with these tissues, they are very gentle on the skin. This softness doesn't mean they are weak, however; quite the opposite, as I've never had one disintegrating on me. The pack contains around 80 tissues, so should definitely last a while, though it depends of course on how bad your cold is. The tissues are a decent size, around 21cm squared. They are also very absorbent; great not only for a cold, but for mopping up a spill of water when there weren't any kitchen towels to hand.
The box is quite slim in design, (the packaging informs me that this is a recent change) with a sophisticated brown and beige ripple effect on the outside. Because the box is quite attractive, I don't mind having it on display in my living room, and given that it is fairly shallow, it doesn't look intrusive at all. Like most tissue boxes, the tissues are dispensed through a slot in a plastic window at the top. Unlike most tissue boxes, I've never had an issue with tissues getting stuck, and having to dig them out by hand. Instead, it always dispenses tissues easily, without any getting caught.
Overall, I would definitely recommend these tissues. My only issue with them is the price, as I feel you can get tissues much cheaper that do almost the same job.
Having been ill recently, I was in a local shop and thought I would treat myself to a few simple luxuries that I would not normally buy. Kleenex tissues being one of them. I normally buy a supermarket's own value brand box of tissues, but seeing as there is always kitchen roll in the house (for the hamster's bedding purposes), I tend to think of tissues as unnecessary (or something I can not buy to save some money). However, having a bit of a residual cold left, I felt like buying a 'nice' box of tissues.
I managed to get a pack that was on offer for £1.19 but normally Kleenex tissues, especially the Balsam or Extra Soft varieties sell for up to £3 a box (ie Sainsburies express stores).
The box I bought was a standard sized box containing 70 3-ply tissues. The cardboard box is easy to open and there is a flexible plastic insert in the box- i'm not sure why this is there- it is between the tissues and the cardboard. You have to poke your hand through it to get to the first tissue - then all the others will come out in sequence once you start using the tissues.
The tissues do not have any particular smell. Each tissue is square and the average size you would expect from a normal tissue (ie not 'mansize'). They really are very very soft- I have no idea how they make them feel so soft. Must be a Kleenex secret.
*Worth the Price?*
Considering I got these for what I consider to be a good price for Kleenex, yes. I don't think I would part with £2 or £3 for a box, but as a 'treat'- yes. The tissues being 3-ply are really really soft and it really does make a difference on what may be a sore nose- so I would consider buying these if I had a particularly bad head cold where I was blowing my nose all the time and my nose was feeling a bit sore.
In my opinion, for general everyday use these tissues feel too 'good' to waste on just having a tissue in your pocket that invariably ends up in the washing machine and all over your jumpers... for general, 'everyday' use, I think the cheaper brands are fine- but for the occasions where you really need a soft tissue, then yes. these do their job.
I would have quite bad allergies and hay fever around spring/summer time, and in winter there is always someone in our house who has the cold or a runny nose, so we seem to have a packet of Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues in the house.
Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues come in quite a large box of 80, the box is quite simple looking and blends in well in the bathroom where I usually keep them. These tissues are quite large in size, they also are quite a good thickness and it is really easy to blow your nose into them as they are such good quality.
The best thing about these tissues is that they are super soft, this makes it much easier to wipe my nose clean with as they feel lovely against my skin and they don't scratch my nose like some other cheaper brands of tissue papers.
One little drawback of these tissues is that they can sometimes be a bit fluffy, and the fluff from them can get stuck on your nose or your clothes and be really annoying to get off, though I think that this can happen with any tissue paper.
I buy my Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues in ASDA for around £2 for 80 tissues, which is completely worth it for me as this tissue paper is lovely and soft and better quality than most of the other tissue papers on the market.
Overall I think that these tissues are a great buy, they are lovely and soft and priced reasonably. I would definitely recommend these tissues. Overall I would give this tissue paper 4 out of 5 stars.

I bought these tissues from Tesco when my hayfever started.
The tissues are a standard shape and size, although I think they are a little larger than the Balsam ones. The tissues are white in colour and they're incredibly soft. They really are the softest tissues that I have ever used. It's almost like you're not using tissues when you use these. They're so mild and gentle on the nose and they don't irritate the nose in any way.
The tissues last for a few uses before they need to be thrown away. The tissues are soft yet strong. They are quite durable and they can be used for cosmetic use too, as well as general nasal use. The tissues aren't too bad in terms of value as you get a decent number of tissues in the pack.
I don't end up with a red nose after using these tissues and the tissues don't make me sneeze, unlike the cheaper ones that DO make me sneeze.
I have also used these tissues to remove make-up. They feel lovely and soft against the skin and they remove make-up well.
I would recommend these tissues. They're excellent quality. The pack can be recycled after use too.
I'm not normally someone who buys special facial tissue. If I have a cold, I'm generally perfectly happy snotting out my germs into a bit of bog standard loo roll - after all, what is the point in spending extra money on something that is going to meet the same end - being unceremoniously flushed down the loo or binned.
Still, when a local paper was giving away a free box of Kleenex Ultra Soft with every copy, I certainly wasn't going to turn my (slightly bunged up) nose up, especially as I had to buy the paper anyway. So, armed with my posh tissues, and a case of the flu that had already outstayed it's welcome, I settled down to give these a try .
Getting into the box is easy - there is a perforated oval at the top that simply pops out, and then the tissues can be pulled out, one by one through the opening. Due to some crafty folding, as you pull out one tissue, another pops up out of the top, ready to be quickly pulled out the next time you need one, and I did find that only one tissue came out at a time.
The tissues are 3 ply, and very very soft to the touch - something that really felt quite pleasant on a nose already sore and chapped . They are a nice large size, and seem quite tought and strong, as well as being very absorbent . The fact that these are strong is very good, as I do tend to sneeze at gale force. I found that one tissue could actually handle quite a lot of nose runniness, certainly better than my loo roll coul, and without it feeling like I was just smearing mucus all over my face .
There are 85 tissues per box, which I went through in a couple of days (my flu was pretty bad) . I did find the box a nice compact size for moving about from room to room with me, and overall found using the tissues much nicer than using loo roll . After this little taste of luxury I am very much converted, and will be buying these next time I get ill, rather than scratching mny nose to shreds on cheap toilet paper.
4 stars - only because I do feel that at almost 2 quid a box, these are still pretty pricey for something to snot on .
golferinfr's Full Review: Kleenex Ultra Soft Facial Tissue, 12 Pack
From the last major snow storm we had I was up almost 3 days clearing every-ones snow away. During the second and final day I felt it coming over my body, not the flu but the cold from hell. I had the worst case scenario of a runny nose and my bandanna's were just making my nose more irritable. I was in CostCo and saw this big family 12 pack.
I open one in the truck and was like Omg this thick tissue, well I blew my nose in it and it took all the mucus that I gave to it with no problem. What I like about these tissues is that they are odorless when rubbing them against your nose. They are exceptionally soft for being a 3 ply tissue and if need be you can use them more than once. They are very absorbent because the next day the cold from hell moved into my chest as well and I was coughing up flem like crazy.
I left 2 boxes in my truck and spread the other boxes all of the house. I emptied 2 boxes the first 2 days, you get 85 tissues per box and how they are folded when you pull the first one up, you next tissue is also pulled up waiting on you. Each three-ply tissue is 8.2 x 8.4 and very soft for even the most sensitive nose. My nose was leaking so bad that I cut my tissue into small squared sheets and rolled them up and put them up my nose. Thank God after the second bottle of codeine/decongestant cough syrup everything started drying up. The floral pattern box is nice and can go with any decor. With the squared edge box it can fit almost anywhere.
Overall I give this Kleenex Ultra Soft ten stars for performance, durability, absorbency and sensitivity to the skin. You can feel the difference between this Kleenex and the other brands. Each tissue you pull is like pulling a cotton hankerchief except much softer.
Thanks for reading !!!

review originated on Epinions by me.
So yes I have the dreaded cold, just in time for my week off where I had lots planned including writing an essay and going to see the new Harry Potter film! I rarely get colds but when I do get them they tend to be the worst ones!
I was using toilet tissue to blow my nose on initially, hoping that the cold would soon disappear and I could go back to normal life. However my lovely mum insisted that I use tissues instead as otherwise my nose would get sore !
These tissues are something that we often have in our house. We got a trial pack last Christmas when we were out shopping and we were amazed at how soft they are so we often get them now especially when they are on offer. I'm not sure how much she paid for this particular box but they retail at £1.90 usually or there is a twin pack available which provides slightly better value for money.
The tissues come in a long rectangular box, but I believe you can also get them in a cube if you wish. My box has 80 tissues in and the website tells me that they are friendly to the environment, they are made from natural fibres and 95% of the packaging is recyclable.
So the tissues are easy to pull out of the box, I never have the problem of pulling too many out of the box with these tissues and instead I just get one at a time.
The tissues are amazingly soft! They feel so silky and smooth and they are lovely on your nose! When I started using these my nose was beginning to get a little sore from using the toilet tissue but these tissues really looked after it and now it feels better despite still having a cold.
The tissues are also very absorbent, I usually only need one to blow my nose however on a couple of occasions I have needed to use 2 when I haven't blown it for a good few hours like first thing in the morning.
I really like these tissues and I really do think they are worth the price just to avoid having a sore nose! Cheaper tissues are fine when they are used every so often but when you are suffering with a cold the last thing you want is a sore nose too. They are so soft and kind to your skin and because you only usually need one they should last a while (I've used about half the box in 2 days - I imagine my cold will be gone before the tissues are!)
Like alot of other Dooyooers I've come down with the cold from hell, running nose, hacking cough, sore throat I can hardly stand to breathe past and just want it to go! While I can't wish it away I can take certain measures to ensure it does as little damage as possible and one of those measures is to use very soft tissues on my nose. Until recently I'd been using Classic Velvet tissues and was very happy with them but I'm finding it hard to track them down in the shops so on my last visit to Morrison's I plumped for a 2 pack of Kleenex Ultra Soft. The 2 boxes each contain 80 tissues and cost me £3 as they were on offer, normally 1 box costs about £1.99. Although almost £2 is pretty normal for a box of tissues these days I still find it a bit steep and recommend stocking up on these when they are on offer.
The box looks as though Kleenex have taken a caramel coloured piece of silk and photographed it, there's very little else on the box and the information that is there is on the perforated piece of card you throw away. To be honest the information doesn't tell us much except the tissues and box can be recycled, do not litter, the tissues are 3 ply and measure 20cm by 20cm. That's not alot of information is it? I was hoping to find out what made these so soft but it doesn't tell me on the box, nor does it tell me on sites that sell these tissues and it doesn't even tell me on Kleenex's website! I've been unable to find out how they are so soft so I won't speculate but I did use one to clean a pair of glasses and there was no telltale smudging from balm so that doesn't seem to be the answer.
As you've probably guessed these are as soft as they claim to be. Each one feels so silky and smooth and completely suitable for delicate skin I'm amazed. I didn't think these would match up to the brand I previously used so this super softness really pleased me. I've been using these for a few days and my nose has alot less redness and soreness than I usually get with a cold so hopefully I'll escape without the skin around my nose bleeding!
The size of the tissues isn't bad, I personally prefer mansize tissues as you get alot more tissue for your money but these Ultra Soft aren't too bad, they suffice for a few blows each tissue. They also don't rip or saturate easily so even a serial sneezer like me will not need more than one tissue per nose blowing session. I think it's the 3 ply at work there as alot of tissues are only 2 ply.
Overall these really are super soft and silky, a decent enough size, 3 ply so nice and thick and the box doesn't look too bad either! I'm giving them a full 5 stars, I highly recommend them to everyone but stock up when on offer!
==Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues==
I was in Poundland the other day when I spotted a box of these Kleenex ultra Soft Tissues. I couldn't help but pick up a box as I know the usually retail for a little bit over £1 and new our tissues supplies were running short.
The box of tissues is not bad to look at as it is a brown and beige type swirly pattern which is perfectly fitting for our front room. The box is not excessively large and doesn't take up too much sideboard space and the tissues themselves are of a good quality as they are from Kleenex.
So for my pound I got a box which has 80 separate tissue inside and each of these tissues is a 3 ply. This is pretty good because even most of the other Kleenex tissues are only 2 ply therefore I feel this represents a good value for money.
The tissues inside the box are, as always is the case with Kleenex, soft and luxurious. I feel that they are probably the best tissues you can buy and having the extra third layer makes them surprisingly better than all the others. They don't irritate to nose in the slightest and even with continual blowing and wiping they still feel gentle against the delicate under nose area.
The fact that they are strong as well is a good thing because there is nothing worse than having a snot filled tissue explode in your hand. I speak from experience. Himself is a very hard blower and he find these tissues good to use as well as me.
The size of the tissue is a good one as they are just perfect for that one blow, wipe around after and then used up enough to pop in the bin without feeling as though you have wasted a vast amount of tissue (like the man sized Kleenex variety).
All in all these tissues have got to be my favourite. The box looks good and the tissues come out easily one at a time. The tissues are soft and strong and a box lasts a relatively good amount of time.
I feel that a top score of 5 out of 5 stars is in order for these Kleenex tissues and I will certainly be buying a few more boxes should I see them in Poundland again.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
I went to Bristol shopping a few weeks ago. Whilst walking around me and my friends were handed small packets of kleenex ultra soft tissues by some marketing workers. At first, I wasn't particularly intrested and placed them in my bag. But afterwards I had a bit of a hot flush and so reached into my bag for something to mop my brow.
When I opened this packet, I was first struck by the softness of the tissues. They are 3 ply but more than than that they feel quilted. They are so soft it seems a shame to wipe your nose in them!! They also have a beautiful silky texture which further adds to the luxury feel of these tissues. The silkiness is due to the added consitioner which is added to the manufacturing of these tissues. This is done so that the tissues are softer and kinder to your nose.
I was also very impressed by the absorbancy of these tissues. I found that they didn't fall apart like cheap tissues do. Infact they were quite sturdy and did not reduce to a clumpy mush.
I have since bought these tissues. I was quite suprised by thier £2 price tag for a 70 tissue box. Although this is rather expensive, I did think they may have a higher price tag. Due to their superior quality. I think that £2 is a very fair price. Yes you can get almost four boxes of cheap branded tissues for this price, but for me the quality of these tissues is well worthy of this price.
There are also small packets of these tissues which are handy to carry in your handbag. Also a smaller hand box variety.
There is no scent with these tissues which I find to be an advantage. I don't like the balsam tissues as I find the scent makes me nauseous when I am feeling unwell. It is also important to point out that these tissues are not as big as man size. They are slightly smaller. So if you like a larger man sized tissue, you may not be satisfied with these.
I really do think Kleenex have excelled themselves with the introduction of these tissues. I feel that it is impossible to put into words the quality and softness of these tissues. It is simply divine. When you are feeling unwell, particularly with a cold. There is nothing worse than wiping your sore nose with a cheap and rough tissue. These kleenex tissues are so kind and caring. They make having a cold that little bit more bearable.
I particularly like the thought of using these tissues on the children. My son very frequently has colds. I wouldn't consider using any other tissue on him now I have found this variety. The other positive thing about these tissues is that they are plain white in design. Also there is no female conotations on the box. Which is really handy as this means they can be used without any embarassment by both sexes.
If you are reading this with a sore runny nose. Then I would urge you to to go and treat yourself to a box of these tissues. They won't take away your cold, but they will offer you protection and comfort and that is something that can't be sniffed at!!!! (see what i did there? lol)
If I was one of the seven dwarfs, I would without a doubt be Sneezy. I have allergic rhinitis, and thus start each day with a ten-minute sneezing fit, followed by intermittent sneezing throughout the day (particularly when near dust, plants, animals, people wearing perfume, etc). I am therefore an expert on tissues, and can tell you that Kleenex is without a doubt THE best.
If you are a constant sneezer, you will find that when you use poor-quality tissues your nose starts to go all red and flakey, and generally very unattractive, and you will start looking like one of those people from an advertisement for a flu remedy. I have always found this problem more or less alleviated with Kleenex "Original" tissues, except at times when I am particularly sneezy.
However, since switching to Kleenex Ultra Soft, I have not had any disgusting-red-nose issues at all. They really are ultra soft. They are thick, long-lasting and well worth the small difference in price. They are a pleasure to use for us non-stop sneezers, and the box even looks nice and classy.
Overall, these tissues are an excellent choice, particularly for those with allergies.
Although I'm more of a handkerchief user, I do occasionally delve in into the rather girlie world of the tissue - especially when I've had a cold for a week, and want something a bit softer around the ol' nasal regions. Normally, I'll opt for the Kleenex Regular variety - but I recently spotted their new 'Ultra Soft' range, which promises to be the most nose-friendly snot-wiper to date.
The box of 80 Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues can currently be purchased for £1.90 from Tesco, whilst at ASDA, the boxes are in a 'buy two for £3' promotion. You can also buy the tissues in a handypack size, or in a cube variety - the choice is yours!
The tissues themselves are of a decent size (also available as a 'mansize'), and feature decoration in the form of a dotted pattern around their top and bottom. In terms of the thickness, the tissues are three ply, making them more difficult to tear than the supermarket own brands - plus it means that you're unlikely to get whatever it is you are wiping up on you hands.
As their title suggests, these tissues are really soft - incredibly soft in fact. It's like blowing your nose with a little piece of velvet, although that is a slightly fantastical comparison considering I've never done such a thing. I often find myself with a sore and red nose after a bout of illness, but with these soft little blighters it takes a great deal of hooter blowing before the nose gets to that chapped stage. Going back to a Tesco Value tissue after using these feels like wiping your nose with a piece of broken glass! - although again, that's something I've obviously never tried.
Due to their ultra softness, I have found the tissues to be good for cleaning my photographic equipment, and I can be quite aggressive without having to worry about scratching or damaging lenses.
Overall, I have found Kleenex Ultra Soft to be effective tissues that are incredibly easy on the nose. No, they're not a cheap as the supermarkets own brands, but they're bloomin' softer - recommended.

I was a tad under the weather a few weeks ago and my Dear husband thought he would help out with the shopping. He thought I would be pleased with these as I had complained to him the day before about how sore my nose was from the cheap Kleenex I normally buy.
I am a cheap skate I will be the first to admit it. I dont see the purpose of spending money on tissue when we have toilet paper. Drives my husband nuts. After years of argueing about it we have come to agree on the cheapest of tissue to keep the peace.
So here I am with a nose that wont stop running and its looking a bit ragged around the edges from the constant blowing and wiping that needs to be done. I see my husband coming up to the front door holding bags in both hands with a big box of the kleenex sitting proudly on top.
My husband had the biggest smile on his face when he handed me the brand new box of kleenex sure he had gotten one over on me and maybe he did, but after I felt the smooth and softness it was as if a light had been turned on around this box of such softness. I touched my nose and I was no longer afraid to blow and wipe. They really were ultra soft. They felt like the softest thing that had ever touched my skin. I have used them again and again and I have to say that since we have gotten rid of the cheap tissues for these my nose has not hurt since.
As my husband walked by I could see the little smirk on his face. I knew he had finally won the battel on Cheap tissue over Kleenex. No doubt about it there would not be any more cheap tissue in my home. Kleenex has won out brand over price this time in my house.
With added conditioner which aims to give the tissues a silky, soft feel that is gentle on your skin.
